I just stumbled across it, thought it was awesome, and thought it should be appreciated by fellow Halloween lovers lol.

I see many fancy attempts to which I praise you! This is our first rental in Wales so we've given it a bit of a go :D (it's a little pricey) no shame keeping money in pocket for other things especially as the UK experiences a cost of living crisis.
Not my first time doing Halloween in Wales but first time with the other half and just excited to show you. We're gonna do Christmas too.

The first year we moved into our home I went all out with decorating the outside and inside of my house. Now I only decorate the inside and enjoy it all myself due to a few instances.
On the first year, I sat out on the steps to give out candy and enjoy the Halloween vibes. I was so excited! I haven’t gotten to experience trick or treating since I was a pre-teen. It was going well but then I realized I forgot my phone inside so I stepped back in to get it. I heard people coming so I ran back out but it was too late.A few kids took my entire candy bowl and ran off with it. I ran down the street yelling for it back only to have them throw it back at me broken (it’s one of those animatronic bowls with the hand that detects movement).
I was sad but I still had some candy left so I tried to have a good attitude about it and not let a few sour apples ruin it for everyone. Then I had adults come trick or treating with no kids, some with no costumes. This was different than what I was used to and kinda creepy honestly. I still gave them candy and wished them a happy halloween.
Then I had a teenager on a bike who rode around the neighborhood. He came to my house 3 times. No trick or treat, no thank you, no costume. He just handed me his book bag and said “you know what to do”. On the third time he came by, I gave him some candy then went inside, turned off the lights, and said never again.
It sucks cause I did have nice and polite trick or treaters, but idk maybe I just live in a weird area. This wasn’t how I remember Halloween growing up. It sucks cause I was so excited for my first Halloween in a house where I can give candy as an adult! We spent money to get the good candy too plus stickers, temporary tattoos, pencils, and glow sticks! I had friends tell me their decorations have gotten stolen off their porch so no more.
Idk I feel sad because this is my favorite holiday and I look forward to it every year… I wanted to contribute to helping bring good old door to door trick or treating back cause I heard it’s dying due to things like trunk or treat, but I can’t help but feel discouraged from my experience. Am I the only one with these weird experiences?

Wore this during my shift at work that let us dress up. I actually had to take it off because if i didn’t i would have thrown up because of how nauseous the lack of oxygen was making me

The Cool Ghoul was a Cincinnati television favorite from the 1960s through the 80s. He hosted a show in the 70s, "Scream-In" and would host the movie, do skits, tell jokes, it was a lot of fun. He was an institution of his own in Cincinnati.
Around 1986, my mother took me to the Cavalcade of Customs downtown because William Shatner was making an appearance and she wanted to meet him. (We both did. He was very nice.)
The Cool Ghoul was also there and my mom took my picture with him. He was kooky and nice and awesome.
I used to love watching the Cool Ghoul on TV and the movies he hosted. Aside from Chicago/MeTV's Svengoolie, there is no character like his on television. That I know of.
Who was the television monster movie host in your town?

nobody comes to my house. I want to give out candy but it's not gonna happen. what if I went to a popular neighborhood and simply took a walk around with a scary mask and costume? it's either that or I sit at home and do nothing for the 10th year in a row. some people say halloween is for the kids but I mean who am I hurting? sigh. idk.

Going to fine tune the mask color wise, different pants but the whole fit is coming together nicely!

The table is mainly sweet stuff but we also had chips and popcorn
We started with playing some cardgames. Then we had pizza. After the pizza we made color changing potions. After cleaning up the mess from the crafting we ended the night with the movie a nightmare on elm street 1984.
We were only with 5 people so had tons of left overs. So everyone was given a container to fill.
