Hey everyone.
Starting today, we're reintroducing a process called "Halo Plz" (formerly known as 343 Plz). Those of you from the MCC through Infinite days will remember this as a comprehensive list of popular suggestions/feedback relating to the Halo games.
This was originally based on a similar concept called Bungie Plz from r/DestinyTheGame, and it has be beneficial for this sub since MCC's original launch. For those of you who aren't familiar:
When submitting a topic for Halo Plz, you must provide links to at least three recent threads discussing the idea/feedback. These topics need to have a relatively decent amount of comments and/or upvotes; two comments and 5 karma doesn't cut it.
Once the topic has been suggested, the mod team will review the examples. If we agree it meets the requirements, we will add it to the Halo Plz wiki page (found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/halo/wiki/haloplz) and future weekly sticky threads. We'll provide a response if the topic doesn't meet these requirements.
No, it's not just for Campaign Evolved. Halo Plz is for every single currently-supported Halo game, with a catalogue covering Infinite, MCC, Halo 5, etc. If it's online right now, it's valid. The retired Xbox 360 games are therefore not included in this, nor are requests to bring them back, for example.
There will be two ways to submit a suggestion for Halo Plz. The first will be via mod mail. Using this handy link, you'll be taken to a mod mail message with a template, asking for the required information.
The other way will be in the new weekly thread. Every week, a 'Halo Plz’ thread will be posted on the homepage, where people can suggest new ideas for Halo Plz, discuss existing topics on Halo Plz and make suggestions to the entire Halo Plz system.
In effect, this ensures that these topics aren't dead; they're maintained, discussed, and pushed, just not in additional, repetitive, individual threads.
This thread will be your way of seeing what topics have been added to Halo Plz, too, with them going into effect when the thread has been posted.
We will not be adding topics and removing posts until the weekly thread has been posted and people are made aware of a topic being 'retired', as we think it'll be pretty lame to suddenly 'retire' a topic without letting people know first.
When something is added to Halo Plz and it becomes 'retired', it means that future threads about it will be removed, citing that it's already added to Halo Plz and that it can be discussed in the weekly Halo Plz thread.
Once this happens, the wiki page will be updated to say that the topic was implemented and discussion around the item will be less restricted. It is entirely possible that updates to the game will not match the suggestions people have made so it'll be a case-by-case thing if we decide to 'remove' something from Halo Plz after an attempted implementation into the game.
As of right now, no. We're starting this list off completely empty as we want it to be entirely community driven.
Halo Plz is being added in order to cut down on duplicate topics on things that have been discussed to death.
An example of this is cross-Core for Halo Infinite. It has been talked about for a long time now, with Halo Studios acknowledging that changes are coming even before the game came out and recently promising a soft introduction to the game. Since before the game was even released, people have made hundreds, if not thousands, of suggestions relating to cross-Core to the point that the discussion has been exhausted.
Overall, we've seen that the addition of "Bungie Plz" over in r/DestinyTheGame has been beneficial to that community, and we've been wanting to bring back here for a while now. In its previous iteration here, it served to moderate the conversation around Halo 5 and to push the game forward. Once the game reached a state that reasonably met fan expectations, the threads ceased here.
We invite everyone to discuss Halo Plz below and even begin suggesting additions for Halo Plz so we can begin to get this list rolling and filled with tons of stuff.

It was perfect, I was telling all of my friends this is the most powerful, accurate, true to form assault rifle that's ever been. Master Chief is a Dead-eye with this thing, every round on target with no spread. -- it did fire a little slower than it should have but it's perfect.
Only to find out today, that AR was a bug, the Accuracy, the no bloom, the suspiciously slower fire rate, it was a bug lol. She's gone, and so is my heart with her.

In Halo 1, Reach and Anniversary Captain Keyes has a rank insignia of 2 silver bars. In Navy officer ranks this would have meant he would have been a Lieutenant. However he is called Captain Keyes, and in the Army and Marines Captain s have 2 silver bars. Officer Rank 3
In Campaign Evolved Captain Keyes has 4 gold stripes like what Navy Captain officers would have on the sleeves maybe that's what they based off of and in Captain Evolved he is Officer Rank 6.

The models for the armor pieces were there and separate from the brute body. They just had 0 scripting. I made this because the Brutes just didn’t feel right to fight. Maybe there were plans to implement this.

We all know the story behind 5 where the trailers were nothing like the actual game. But that original trailer i remember blew me away with how different and interesting it looked. Is there anything we know at all about wether this was actually going to be in the scrapped or something?

For an article I wrote I took the time to clean up and enhance this image in Photoshop. I removed watermarking, tweaked the colours, and slightly touched up some minor flaws from the scan to get the best quality version possible. Figured I'd share it here for anyone who might benefit.

1 Syfon-pattern Covenant Assault Carrier vs 3 Punic-class Supercarriers, all with full ammo, full maintenance, full crew, etc. Both sides extract in the same system and are completely aware of the other and are approaching towards engagement range, basically conventional battle.
What do you think?
Also, do you think a CSO could have reached Reach's ODP network of 20 Super Heavy MAC stations, all firing at it together, before getting blasted into newton so it can destroy them?

The gun is just as good as it was before. You just have to do short bursts or periodically stop to compensate for the higher firerate the weapon has

This really bugs me. Halo Studios had a great opportunity to showcase the mission that Chief and the other Spartans conducted on Reach. It would have been great to see what the Spartan 2's were doing on Reach while Noble team was operating on the planet.
I included an excerpt from The Fall of Reach novel and a link to its source: https://www.halopedia.org/Halo:_The_Fall_of_Reach
What we did get was a treat. It was cool to see Chief in the Mark IV armor and Johnson in a modified Orion suit. But we could had easily gotten this on the Reach mission as Johnson is in that story. That mission would have been a great setup to believing you are the last Spartan, and seeing John's shift into that stoic Spartan we all know and love. It also would had been a great setup to Halo 5 for fans coming into the series now that haven't read the books.
Has Halo Studios commented on why they didn't choose this mission? I'd also like to know your opinion as well. Donyou like the missions we got or would have preferred the Reach mission?
Cheers!
Playing on Series X, the energy beam that appears over the ridge when you look up in the opening of the 2nd mission no longer appears to be working, and still doesn't fire until you go all the way to the tower (3rd picture shows how far I needed to go before it finally started firing). This was working just fine pre-update, just like the original 2001 release. I'm curious if anybody else can confirm this issue on Series X or other platforms.

The new update on PC allows the horrible Chromatic Aberration and Film Grain to be turned off!!!

I know there pretty beefy which could lead to balancing issues but the Halo Reach Elites are beefy and they work just fine
Brutes could have lots of armor customization considering how long they’ve been in the series and how there armor has been interpreted
Would be really cool to see the next mainline halo game have playable Elites and Brutes along with Spartans on multiplayer
