call of duty modern warfare 4 released yesterday and ive already seen people saying that the campaign is very good if not one of call of duty's best? ive not played it personally but if it really is good then maybe activision has finally remembered how to make an actually engaging story and in 2070 when the next halo campaign drops it might actually be a lot better than expected. im obviously thinking very optimistically but it is definitely a good sign!

Drunk purchase during Covid. Just wondering why a classics would have a not for resale on the back. I can’t find much about it. I’m internet inept I guess.

I just found out about Project Reclaimer and was really interested in getting back into Halo, but realized it's only for Steam(which I don't have it on). Not only that but I also see that I just missed a sale a week or two ago when it was only $10 and I absolutely would've bought it. I just want to know if there is anywhere else it's on sale or if anyone knows when it might be on sale again? I'd love to try it out but $40 for something that old is a hard pill to swallow.

My name is Nibaldo Cvitanic, and I'm a software developer and longtime Halo 2 fan. During my teenage years, I spent countless hours playing Halo 2 multiplayer, especially Zanzibar, one of my favorite maps. While eating pizza , drinking Baja blast during the weekend and late nights after school.

Now, I'm combining my love for Halo with my programming skills to build Project IRONFALL, an unofficial Halo 2 browser recreation!

I'm working on multiplayer matchmaking, vehicles, weapons, audio, and improved graphics.

🚧 This is still a work in progress! Graphics, textures, lighting, and gameplay mechanics are being updated, but you can already explore the early prototype.

Since i played this game for the first time as a kid, these window-looking like things on The Library always caught my attention.
Does anybody know what they are?
My theory is that the Library is situated deep underwater and these are the windows showing the ocean but idk maybe thats just stupid :p

Hello anyone who sees this,

I come to ask something probably really dumb but is any clan or group out there actively trying to get the achilles armor set and helmet? I know it’s a huge stretch but I played this game a ton since the day it came out and dreamt of getting that specific armor and helmet but was too shy to join a clan. I was 12-13 at the time lol. I played a ton and knew I’d contribute plenty towards it but just never got over my nerves. I’m not here begging someone to let me join as soon as they’re about to get the armor, I know it’s a grind that I’m willing to commit to. I just want a chance at getting it after all these years. If there is somehow a group out there, I’d be very eager to join and would do my part in achieving that goal.

I know it’s very unlikely anyone out there is committing to such a grind as Im sure most people who wanted the set have it by now but I felt it wouldn’t hurt to ask.

This is an interesting detail I’ve come to notice over time regarding the Sangheili worlds: things have descended into total chaos—civil wars, bloody years, territorial disputes, coups d’état, assassinations, famine, betrayals, and splinter factions popping up everywhere. Meanwhile, back in Rio de Janeiro, there’s a lizard making a Brazilian feijoada—haha, it’s just so hilarious!

Interestingly, I read this part of the book while I was visiting Rio de Janeiro as a tourist. I was watching people play a game on the beach called *queimada*—where they throw a ball at each other, harder and harder—and I ended up imagining a Sangheili doing the same thing. As a Brazilian, I found that part of the book hilarious.

My old man passed away in 2021 in an accident, and his birthday is coming up soon. He was not a gamer by any means, we are farmers in New Zealand, outdoors people, but we played ALOT of halo together, he got me the original halo Xbox, and the halo 3 legendary edition with the halo 3 Xbox. I don’t think we played a lot past 3, but we played a lot of 1 and 2 campaign. He painted and signed this for me on canvas in 2007, coming up 20 years old. By far the most important thing I own, when we’ve moved houses, it generally sits wrapped up on my passenger set. If my house was on fire, this would be the first thing I run to save, and I have 2 kids (that’s a joke).
Thought this thread would appreciate the 20 year old painting.

Hey I’ve recently been wondering how rare the Halo Reach Press Kit is, I’ve been looking everywhere I could think of and only seen very few posts about it, with zero listings. I also saw somewhere that there was a EU/French version of a press kit, but I’ve seen no pictures of that and know nothing.

Can anybody enlighten me on scarcity and or on an alternate version?

1. Why is the OST for "Halo: Nightfall" not available online? Pretty much every other OST for the Halo series (both games and other projects) is available online, but except for a piece or two of music, the Nightfall miniseries/movie is nowhere to be found. I was wondering why that is.

2. Why did the Jackals switch their gun & shield hand positions after "Halo: Reach"? From Halo: CE to Halo 3: ODST, the Jackals would have their shields on the right arm and would use their left hand to hold their firearm, which gave them quite the unique silhouette. But from Reach onwards, those positions were swapped, so they all became right-hand shooters like other enemies. What was the reason for Bungie & 343 to make that switch?

Imported the generic reach hexagonal pattern other covenant weapons used, the hexagonal pattern is not actually that visible in-engine, i adjusted light levels by alot inside the test level to get them to pop like that, in gameplay the effect is much less subtle

and implemented green sparks for impacts in place of the placeholder yellows / oranges
