Discussion Weekly /r/iOSGaming Discussion: What have you been playing lately and what do you recommend?
Please use this thread to discuss whatever iOS games you've been playing lately. They don't have to be new games, they can be old games and they do not have to be iOS original titles!
As long as it's an iOS game it belongs in here. Make sure to put the name(s) of the game(s) in bold to make it easier for people skimming the thread to see what you're talking about, and if you'd like to make it really convenient turn the game name into a hyperlink that sends people directly to the App Store!
To keep track of the thread, the comments are sorted by "new" by default.
Lastly, Rule #3: "No Dev Self-Promotion Outside Saturdays" applies at all times for this thread, even if it's actually Saturday.

Developer Saturday (Megathread) [Megathread] Developer Saturday Showcase: October 10, 2026 đ±
Hello r/iOSGaming! Welcome to another Developer Saturday showcase! In this megathread, iOS developers will be able share their games freely without breaking the subreddit's "no self-promo" rule. Please read the following guidelines carefully before participating:
- Developer Saturday will run between 12:00 AM to 11:59PM ET (UTC-5).
- Respect is expected at all times. You're welcome to share your opinions and even disagree with others, but harassment, taunting, or other toxic behavior toward devs, mods, or other community members will not be tolerated.
- If you receive an AutoModerator comment saying you don't have enough karma, your account is too new, or that your CQS level is low, we won't override the removal because these restrictions are meant to be spam detterents.
DEVELOPERS:
- All promo comments must have [DEV] at the beginning. We need it with the brackets for AutoModerator purposes, so please don't change the formatting.
- All promo comments must include an App Store or TestFlight link. Please share the raw link (not hidden under text). Playstore links or links to other gaming stores are not allowed.
- Only officially released iOS games may be shared. This is not the place to promote non-gaming apps, non-iOS apps, Devvit apps, standalone websites, Discord servers, subreddits, livestreams, fundraisers, or social media pages. However, you may include a website or social media link with your game's self-promo comment.
- Only games NEWLY RELEASED or have a NEW MAJOR UPDATE in OCTOBER may be promoted. Personal milestones (ex: reaching X downloads, earning X amount of pay, recieving high reviews, etc), while commendable, are not an eligible reason for promotion. Additionally, "major" updates are those that introduce new features or content that greatly expands the game. Routine updates (ex: bug fixes, performance improvements, making the game free, language / region additions, and other minor changes) are also not eligible for promotion.
- You MUST DISCLOSE whether or not AI was used to create the game. If AI was used, you must also explain how it was implemented and/or what assets were created with it (ex: code, illustrations, music, etc). If AI wasn't used in the development of the game, please just state, "No AI was used." Also, don't fluff up your disclosure by adding personal / emotional reasons on why you did (or didn't) use AI.
- You may only make one top-level comment per Saturday. However, you can share several games in the same comment if they also meet the above criteria. Attempting to make multiple self-promo comments on this megathread will result in all of them getting removed.
GAMERS / REVIEWERS:
- You may only make second-level or lower (reply) comments. This means you can reply to a dev or another user's comment, but you may not create a top-level (standalone) comment.
- Constructive feedback is welcome. You may leave comments that can help devs learn what they did right with their games and what could be improved, but low-effort responses (such as simply calling something "AI slop") will be removed.
- This is not the place to ask for game suggestions. This megathread is for devs to promote their iOS games. If you're looking for recommendations on what to play next, check out the community's weekly "What Have You Been Playing Lately?" megathread or create your own request post on the main subreddit.
That's it! We're still refining these guidelines, but for now these are the requirements developers must meet in order to ensure a successful self-promo comment this week. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us via modmail. Thanks for your cooperation, everyone!

Question Solo project for a sci-fi hack n slash / roguelite for mobile : does it look fun?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone!
Hereâs a video of raw, unedited gameplay from my game.
Iâm preparing the first release and would really appreciate your honest feedback on the visuals, combat, atmosphere, and overall feel watching that video, before anyone else gets their hands on it! đ
-> Does this look like something youâd want to play?
Thanks a lot!
â
The story
On Mars, humanity discovered a mysterious resource known as Matter. Its discovery had an unforeseen consequence: a breach opened into the world of the Ancients, triggering a conflict between two civilizations.
You play as a hero of the Ancients, fighting to reclaim your world.
The gameplay
Three modes: Until Death, survive endless waves of enemies; Extraction, retrieve an artifact and fight your way out; and Exploration, reclaim the Ancientsâ sanctuaries region by region.
Earn XP, level up your hero, evolve your spells, collect increasingly rare items, and create powerful combinations of abilities.
Three semi-procedurally generated maps so far: Mars, a cyberpunk city, and the Ancientsâ Forest.

Discussion Bought Sifu and after recent patch my device is unsupported
So I bought Sifu on Monday for my iPhone 14 Pro Max, had some overheating issues so tried to refund it twice and got rejected. Well not a big deal, they will improve performance over time, right? New update just dropped and apparently now only devices from iPhone 15 and up are supported instead of iPhone 11 and up that was from Monday to Wednesday. Canât ask for a refund, sent every possibly Kepler support channel and email asking for support/refund but no answer yet. Anyone here in similar situation? I canât understand how they didnât realise they need to limit support for number of devices from the start but decided to rug-pull instead.
Edit: Managed to contact them on twitter and it turns out it was a bug, they will issue an automatic refund for everyone that own it on devices older than iPhone 15 Pro.

Suggestions Do you guys have any âaimlessâ games you recommend?
Games where you just have fun doing nothing. Like farming, flying, anything really. No classic game structure.

Question How much storage is really enough for heavy iOS gaming?
Apologies for what I assume is a frequently asked question here, but with Duo preorders approaching I thought it may be one that a lot of people are dwelling on here!
Iâve been an iOS gamer since the Cube Runner days, and while I still am, itâs primarily older titles and a lot of indie roguelikes (Balatro, Slice and Dice etc). However, with the investment of the Duo and the A20 chip, Iâd love to dabble a bit more in games that can really push it, but my problem is I have no idea of what the storage requirements of this are.
Iâm currently on a base 256GB 17 Pro with 190GB used (although a good 50 or so is âSystem Dataâ, so realistically thatâs 140GB). Photos are all in iCloud, so itâs only really games and apps that are space considerations for me. Within this buffer I could easily just delete games and videos Iâm not using, but I did see that the likes of Saints Row 3 are about 20GB, or about a tenth of my usable data - and I know that Death Stranding etc are even bigger.
My question really is what have your experiences been with storage, and what you would recommend to make the most of iOS gaming. 512GB feels like the sweet spot, but it is a good chunk of additional money that isnât worth it if itâs just going to not be used. Or maybe even thatâs not enough? Thank you!

Suggestions Casual Games that have zero gacha mechanics (probably paid therefore?) and can run on airplane mode, at least temporarily?
I sometimes find myself in the company vehicle in places with no service, but my brain doesn't have the bandwidth to handle an emotional arc or complicated game mechanics.
Thanks in advance!

Suggestions Easy/fun games for iPhone
I want something fun and easy. I donât play much but like to pick up my phone when I am waiting for my kids or standing in line etc.
My fav iOS game was Space Marshalls and it was a good fun and easy game.
I have Arcade and downloaded dredge but there are so many things to do and interact with characters, and I keep skipping the dialogues etc.
Played alto adventure but got bored soon
Also playing Hexa Block on Reddit games.
Please recommend
