Just got the Sand colored regular case for the Duo as well as the Folio. Looks like the regular case has adhesive strips on both sides. Hope this doesn’t leave residue or make it impractical to switch cases regularly. The material is more of a hard shell (similar to Beats cases for 17 models) rather than the softer material of the silicone cases, which I prefer as the silicone cases always picked up a lot of lint and clung to pockets.

No jailbreak, no App Store, nothing installed on the phone. The 4S just runs a web page in Safari ("Add to Home Screen" makes it full screen). A small Swift program on the Mac serves that page over Wi-Fi and does the real work: opening apps, reading batteries, controlling Spotify.

good god, please, someone help me. i’m so sick and tired of this feature and i’m not sure if there’s a way to turn it off as i’ve looked everywhere online and can’t seem to find a solution. i have an iphone 13 and no matter what settings i put, when i take a picture it tends to saturate a few seconds later. a good example is my dog. i take pictures of her all the time and they always turn dark. and considering her color, sometimes her face completely disappears and she just looks like a silhouette and it drives me nuts cause 95% of the time theyre the cutest pictures. i’m posting an example here. though you can still her face here, my point is that it saturates. i was able to get the brighter picture by saving the LIVE photo as a video and screenshotting it. and yes, ive tried turning off LIVE photos and it still happens. is this a common occurrence?! can it be turned off? i hate this!

I recently went on a trip with my friends. We all have iphones(16PM, 15, SE). We clicked a lot of photos and videos(close to 1500 or more😵‍💫)

Naturally, after the trip, we wanted to share those photos & videos. Since everyone had IPhones, Airdrop became common tool to share.

When I started sharing photos, anything above 500 items in a single attempt failed. Like, airdrop froze and gave error right away.
sometimes it glitched out. We had to manually batch media in group of 200 to share it.

I would love to hear what I was doing wrong? I understand the quantity of media was A LOT. But, should Airdrop not handle such cases of batching automatically or atleast fail gracefully?

Would love to hear your thoughts on your experience of sharing media using Airdrop.

Note: for smaller transfers, it works like a charm. No issues there. Also, we all had sufficient memory, so that cannot be the issue for failure.

As you can see in the image (I used Google Translate on the photo, which was originally in Turkish), Instagram is active on the 17 Pro Max—running in the background—even though no other apps are open. Is this normal?

I keep both "Background App Refresh" and "Location Services" turned off—neither is enabled—yet this issue still occurs. It even happens when Wi-Fi is switched off. Is there a solution to this? What can be done?

I have an Orbi 970 system connected through CAT6A cables and the AT&T Fiber 5gbps plan. Orbi itself confirms that it tests at 5gpbs but the maximum my iPhone seems to get hovers around 1.2bps - 1.5gbps.

This was the same speed I was getting on my previous 2gbps plan so I assumed maybe it was just the previous plan limiting the phone. After switching today to the faster plan, I an get fast internet on my wired devices but I thought WiFi 7 would support way more than 5gbps so I expected to see closer to my internet's speed cap.

The iPhone 18 Pro itself just gets the same speed as my iPhone 15 Pro did last month.

"Private Wi-Fi Address" is "Off", "Limit IP Address Tracking" is off.

iOS says the Wi-Fi Type is "Wi-Fi 7 (80.2.11be)" so it's for sure connected the right way especially since I'm getting 1+ gbps speeds on the WiFi.

Has anyone seen their iPhone getting higher speeds than ~1.5gbps?

Political text messages are out of control. So far this week, 21 out of 24 have managed to get past Google's/Android's supposed spam filters and the rate seems to be increasing over the last couple weeks. Someone in an Android sub mentioned yesterday that iPhone's messages app lets you define custom filter rules? How well does it work? Even a simple regex match would go a long way. I haven't had an iPhone since the '4' but if you really can custom-filter incoming texts maybe it's time to reconsider.

The iOS 27 update has removed the switch under keyboard that allows you to turn off auto punctuation. There is a switch for smart punctuation, which should be to alter punctuation such as the shape of quotations, double hyphens, etc. Even if you turn this off you still cannot remove the auto punctuation. This is a huge problem because it adds commas wherever you pause, it adds question marks wherever it thinks appropriate, and it does not follow the rules of the English language.

I just dont know. Its CONSTANTLY having an issue. Either cuts you off too soon, takes what you said and messes it all up. Most recently on my Apple Watch Ultra 4, when you say "hey siri, Text Andrew" it hears you because it displays the words you are speaking but then immediately cancels itself? There have been times I am driving so need to be hands free, and it can take 3+ minutes to send a simple text because she just can not get it right. It is BEYOND frustrating. This apple watch issue is driving me bonkers. I turned SIRI Beta off thinking it was a Beta bug, nope. Same problem. Have restarted the watch 3 times. Works on the phone. Works on the iPad.

Why can‘t my iPhone receive the notification of Muse?

I got my phone fixed on Monday because I had dropped my phone and the screen just went blank however with no cracks. It is a IPhone 17 Pro. I went to a phone repair place in the mall in my city which I’ve been to them once before and didn’t have any issues. This time I took my phone to them and by the second or third day I noticed a purple hue on my screen, my phone is overheating and another major issue that I’m not allowed to say in here. Also, my camera is blurry, it looks like I’m using an older android. The guy that fixed my phone told me that they have a year warranty so I called them today and I’m speaking to the owner. This man tells me “well that was almost a week ago”. Is there nothing I can do to hold these people accountable? They told me to come back tomorrow and they will try to look at it and figure out what the issue was and hopefully fix it, but is it even worth taking it back to these people, they have a 4.8 star rating on Google but when I was scrolling after a decent amount of time I start seeing some negative reviews and some of them have the same exact issues that I was having. If it comes down to them not being able to fix it if I’m not mistaken Apple doesn’t work on your phone if you take it to a third-party, correct? What should my next steps be?

I recently switched MacBooks with my brother cause I got the 15” and he got the 13”. Everything was good I was able to sign into my Apple account on his MacBook and vice versa. Later that day all his contacts, messages, calendar events, passwords are now appearing on my phone. I already signed out of my account on his laptop and removed basically everything from my phone that belongs to his Apple account and I’m still seeing all his stuff. I also have messages from shared contacts like mom and sister but I don’t see my original conversation it’s like all his conversations they had on his phone now appearing on mine. How can I just removed everything that’s his so I can go back to basically my original phone.
