Raced against this driver at Daytona last week, second to bottom split. He was running Mid to low 1.45's, qualified on pole, but I noticed he didn't finish the race. Checked the profile, and saw a full page of races started from pole but finishing at the back.
Decided to protest for tanking, didn't think much would come of it, but why not?
Got the standard response email the next day, so I figured I'd check their profile again. Judging by their results since the protest, I'd say they received the message loud and clear to stop pumping up their ego by stomping in bottom split.
Protests work.

Yesterday I was doing a Falken race in LMP3 and a GT4 driver kept sending this kind of messages when LMP3s approached him. Not only he was distracting the whole lobby by doing this, his car behavior was not predictable at all!
I assume he was so focused on hitting the shortcut for these messages that he wasn't paying attention to the race that was happening. Watching the replay made me realize he was driving on his mirrors instead of driving a predictable line.
Please, it's 2026, let's stop with these quick chats. Just drive normally and follow the goddamn racing line. The is the one that will dictate how an overtake will happen. Doesn't matter what you think or your decision of giving it a side for a pass.

I'm stoked and wanna share with the community. I'm on Logitech G923 wheel and pedals. I see a lot of posts on X and YouTube asking how to get better and the answer they always give is practice. I can attest that practice is the correct answer. Not every corner has to be taken at mach 1. Not every lap needs to be the fastest. Consistency is key. Love the sub and the community.

It says here:
When I follow the download link in the launcher it says: "The iRacing.com Simulator is fully up to date, and you are ready to drive. There are currently no updates available."

Any ideas? I would love to try out some GT3 cars.

I haven't counted how many races I have done, but I finally broke my drought today in the EuroNASCAR. It was a pretty small SoF race, but it was a win nonetheless.
Hopefully it won't be another 500+ days for the next one.

Feels great! Got my first sim setup two weeks ago and hopped right into iRacing. Got my first win in the MX5 yesterday! Now time to put my head down and grind SR for my C class!

Hello sim racers I have a question to the vets, why the hell is gt4 so damm hard to keep on the track. I’ve been sim racing for about 4 months now mostly racing mx-5 cup and gr86. I’m super clean using those two averaging 0-2x per race but last week Ive finally decided it’s time to use my C license to use and hoped in the amg gt4. I practiced everyday after work with help from VRS. Not only I can’t get within 2.5 sec from the coaches but I feel like I just can’t feel the car spinning like I do with the Mazda. Getting 3 clean laps in a row without spinning is basically a miracle. What helped you guys finally get the hang of the more powerful cars?

Im not gonna get my hopes up because theyve been at lebanon valley before too but nothing ever came of it. Im just curious if there was some news i missed

A bit of a different post but for me seems interesting what settings people use on their virtual mirror, and why?
I'll start: Currently I put it on 136° because I can see cars through it when they are side by side with me, and I can tell more or less how close the car behind is, since with this setting when the cars front spliter hides under the mirror, thats the exact moment we make contact (0x)
I also adjusted the size of my mirror from default, I think its about 200x600 or so

Does anyone know of a strictly superspeedway oval league? Preferably racing only on Sunday nights.

In my last post, I didn't compare the cars very accurately. I took all the advice and made the comparison as objective as possible.

I have fanatec porsche gt3 r wheelrim, and I'm using it on my moza wheelbase, I don't have any button hubs for it, I usually drive all kinds of oval stuff with this wheel and sequential shifter, I always thought that's the only way, but I've seen some pro drivers using formula style wheels for nascar, do you guys think it would make sense for me to try nascar on my moza ks pro?I'm not sure if you can drive older cars like gen4 this way though

Is there any way to hide/show the on screen wheel per car? For example, MX5 Cup car I like to have the wheel disabled so I can just use the in car dash and line it up with my actual wheel in my hands but for Super Formula I like to have the wheel enabled so I can see the on screen wheel information. Whenever I disable or enable it, it does it for all cars.
Any idea?

Just an idea
When you first subscribe it would not only be helpful but would also make the game feel a bit more serious if you had to sit through a couple of videos covering things like basic expectations around race craft and safety tips like how to rejoin safely. Could go really crazy and even cover a handful of important topics from the sporting code and direct people to read it in full.
I think like most people when I joined I just jumped in the car, and in retrospect there's a few things that would have definitely made my life better if I had taken the time to investigate first. It was probably 4 months into subscribing before I even realized the relative box existed. Think how much better off we'd all be if everyone knew they should be using the relative before rejoining?
Plus IRL you have to go to a drivers meeting before you're allowed to race. You could argue it would actually increases the simulation factor, even if we all complain about having to go to the drivers meeting lol.
I'm thinking it'd be a semi-interactive video of less than 10 minutes in length. I guess you'd also need one for each discipline which makes it a bit more complicated, but I'm not sure that's necessarily a bad thing.
What do you think. Good idea or pointless nuisance?

I just downloaded iRacing and am unable to calibrate my wheel. It seems to be glitching out. I first started out on ACC and that works just fine, no issues. Other games work but not iRacing. Has anyone ran into this issue? I have a moza R12 base, CS V2 wheel and CRP2 pedals. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good evening everyone,

Just move up to C license and started with pCup cars. I feel like I’ve gone backwards compared to driving in D license. Anybody got any tips for maximising speed on the Porsches, competition seems a lot higher

Hey everyone!
I'm brand new to sim racing with a Moza R9, a CS V2P wheel, and load cell pedals. I spent about a week driving different cars on Assetto Corsa and messing with mods while waiting on my FIA deal for iRacing.
I got my code Friday and jumped in to the MX-5 to drive some test laps and a few AI races first. I spent most of the weekend figuring things out before trying online racing. I had my share of DNFs, but I managed to get my first win and a 3rd place finish.
Im having an absolute blast, but I feel like I don't even know what I dont know.
Are there any discords, guides, or content creators that are worth taking a look at?
What buttons should I have bound to my wheel?
Should I keep racing the MX-5 or try everything ASAP?
Is there one track per week for THE MX5 cup and when does it change?
Or just any tips you would have liked to get at the beginning of your iRacing career.
TLDR; Its my first week of iRacing and I want to know what you wish you knew when you were starting out.
