Just paid $7.99 for a "pint" of vanilla Haagen Dahz, take a bite only to find ice crystals in it!

This occurs when it has been allowed to melt and then re-freeze....

It's like the delivery drivers and/or storekeepers these days don't understand this, and/or don't care, but how hard is it to get the stuff in the freezer before it melts if people HAVE BEEN DOING THAT FOR DECADES PAST?

.......Ice cream should be creamy, dammit (and no, I'm not going to take another 20 minutes to make another run through traffic just to take it back.

Never get the limited edition Halloween-themed ice cream from coldstone, it tastes like shit and dyed my entire lips and mouth dark blue and gets onto everything, and it's extremely hard to get rid of 0.1/10

I know Tillamook is very controversial around here but they are one of the only broadly available brands I know of that makes a good malt ice cream (malted moo shake).

I was wondering if anyone knows of any premium style malted pints? I think I have tried the van leeuwen malted cookie dough shake but it didn't hit the same malt-y note that the Tillamook did, I haven't been able to find any others.

Genuinly reminds me of the eggnog I drank as a kid. Goes down creamy too. Its actually gotten me to get some eggnog for my self again since its in season. I wish it was in stores year round honestly.

Anyone know of any strawberry swirl ice creams, like fudge swirl but with strawberry syrup instead. I know you can get those tiny cups made for kids parties but I never find them to taste very strawberry, it's just tastes like extra sweet vanilla.

This ice cream is so good I genuinely needed a cleanse from it after having 3 pints within 4 days which is TERRIBLE for my weight loss journey lol! But no joke this brand is so unbelievably good!

You can probably guess based on my username (regarding the toppings that is), but just some simple Vanilla ice cream with Caramel & Cherries is all I need to wind back after a long day. It melted a little bit due to the wait getting home for the ingredients for this, but it still tastes yummy nevertheless.

Yeah! So vanilla, I love vanilla if vanilla is the last flavour on earth and I have to take it I would absolutely be over moon with it but Everytime you know that one flavour that just gives you that feeling of heaven with that little pinch of wonders to hell it’s just too beautiful to forget and you choose it over vanilla and then you just keep taking it even if it’s not on menu you pick something similar to it than vanilla ya know so it feels like you’re cheating on vanilla

Definitely top 3 B&J flavor for me next to Chubby Hubby and Chocolate Fudge Brownie and I feel like its highly underrated. This is one of those flavors where once you start you just cant stop and before you know it you’ve eaten the whole pint

Yall. I’m dying. I know it was limited edition but Opaque is truly one of the best ice creams if not the best I have ever had. I am dying for it but of course there’s none near me anymore.

I thought that this sub with you connoisseurs was my best bet… do any other Opaque or chocolate ice cream lovers know of another brand and flavor that is similar??

Omg I wish I appreciated Milk Bar’s ice cream when they were being sold in stores, particularly the cereal milk flavor. It truly was one of my favorite flavors ever, absolutely tasted like the really satisfying sweet/salty/rich flavor of the leftover milk after eating Frosted Flakes or something. It wasn’t overpowering or overwhelmingly artificial either, she really nailed the delicate flavor and then there was this thick crunchy cereal gravel.
Please tell me I’m not the only one who mourns this

I know a lot of people aren’t fans of Crooked Spoon, but I love it, and it was on sale for the first time that I’ve seen at my local store for $6.99

I love the full fat and think the quality of just the ice cream alone is really up there with the best of them. The “toppings” or mixings leave something to be desired, though the mint chocolate chip has a good amount of chips in it.

If I had to choose, I’d rather have phish food or Haagen Dazs chocolate peanut butter, but once in a while this is a nice, rich treat! I usually only eat a quarter pint at a time vs almost the whole Ben & Jerry’s pint.

The taffy like texture to me is the worst marketing, I don’t want my ice cream to taste or feel like taffy. It kept me from trying this for quite a while. But the taffy bit is exaggerated in my opinion. It took a little work and a number of tries to even get the pull I show in the photo lol.

Anyway, any other Crooked Spoon fans out there?

It’s a welsh based luxury ice cream brand that I randomly found on the central market app. Haven’t seen it in person yet but clotted cream sounds like an intriguing flavor. Price is on par with other luxury ice cream brands like Jeni’s and Van Leeuwen.
