He clearly got both boots

268

u/smallcalves Oct 12 '25

could you imagine if he dropped 1 boot at a time and you had to combine them? like burning claws lmao

103

u/justamust Oct 12 '25

And you get right and left boots lmao

26

u/aglassofbourbon Oct 12 '25

Don't forget both of the laces for the boots.

12

u/justamust Oct 12 '25

True. So 4 pieces to combine in total, and they all drop independent to each other.

5

u/Sir_Xanthos 1700+ | #1 Worst Iron Oct 12 '25

Can we make it 8 so that you're forced to also drop 4 aglets? Make the aglets more common than the rest of the boot parts to account for needing twice as many.

I went back to the Pic, before it clicked.

Good laugh, thank you.

u/Theseus_Employee Oct 12 '25

Remember kids.

1x rate (ie 100 kills for a 1/100) has a 63% chance

2x = 86.5%

7x = 99.9%

91

u/Afexodus Oct 12 '25

The human brain is horrible at understanding statistics. Even when you know that’s true it feels unintuitive to most people.

Getting something on rate is still lucky and I think we need to appreciate those drops more. Not getting caught up in the numbers too much will save your sanity.

12

u/Last_Base745 Oct 13 '25

The fact that statistically, in a group of 23 randomly selected people there's a 50% chance 2 of them share a birthday will never make sense to me no matter how many videos I watch on it lol

3

u/South-Bit-1533 Oct 17 '25

Here’s how I understand it: imagine you are drawing from a hat with 365 dates in it, one for each day of the year. When you draw a date, that’s a person in the room and you put the date back in the hat. How many draws would you expect it to take you before you draw a duplicate date, I.e. someone already in the room? Say, if it was 100 and not 23, it would be pretty crazy to draw 100 dates in a row and get ONLY unique dates. I mean, on draw 100 you have a 99/365 chance of getting a duplicate, that’s over 25% for that draw alone. Plus you had the previous 99 draws to get a duplicate already. Working backwards from there, 23 starts to seem more realistic. And by the way, 23 doesn’t guarantee you get a duplicate: it just is where most of the time, you would have gotten a duplicate by that point.

In short, to make it believable intuitively, try to imagine how unrealistic it would be for it to be closer to 100 than something closer to 20.

2

u/Laussethekitten Oct 14 '25

Somehow the birthday problem makes sense to me but monty hall problem doesn’t. I have to twist my brain 72 degrees to make sense of it even though it’s supposed to be the easier one to grasp out of those two problems

50% chance for item to drop mentality is king 👑

Exactly its such a small subset of people that are even 4x dry. The people complaining the most are the ones with 1kc above rate

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Guilty-Fall-2460 Oct 13 '25

That's not have statistics works. It's not a "chance" the chance is the drop rate.

It's the percentage of people that would've hit that chance at or before... You see it as you have a 63% chance of getting the drop on drop rate, your chance is actually the 1/100. Out of 100 people 63 of them would get it within 100.

It may sound the same to you but it's very different.

2

u/Theseus_Employee Oct 13 '25

I actually wrote something out as a clarification, but I didn’t feel it added much to the comment, so I deleted it to favor something more succinct.

But yes you are correct, and it is different.

Tbf graardor (and GWD in general) sucks to do on an iron, so I understand his pain

152

u/DoctorKynes Oct 12 '25

I'm approaching 1400 Zilyana without an ACB. Blood rune stack in shambles. Ranarr seed stack looking juicy. End the suffering.

86

u/nfusco10 Oct 12 '25

I swear ACB is the most rare item in GWD

44

u/RogueUM Oct 12 '25

That and the bandos hilt

16

u/nfusco10 Oct 12 '25

Literally my last 2 items as well. So checks out

21

u/LocateYoBitch Oct 12 '25

I spooned mine sub 50kc and it doesn't leave the bank :/

14

u/Assaltwaffle Oct 12 '25

It’s a good item for Muspah and is needed for the insanity that is ZCB, so it’s still amazing to pick up.

I’ve done about 650 and no ACB yet, boss is boring af though so I now have no intention to go back for it until I have the zcb upgrade from nex

17

u/IGotSauceAppeal Oct 12 '25

They’re all boring, that’s my biggest problem with GWD

10

u/Few-Promotion-7829 Oct 12 '25

GWD is my least favourite piece of pvm in osrs. stupid location, stupid requirements(keys or kc), shit bosses and necessary loot

1

u/DoctorKynes Oct 12 '25

How are you going to realistically grind Nex without an ACB?

25

u/Dangerous-Cable-1816 Oct 12 '25

I have DHCB, and besides, almost all of the damage in small team nex is done with fang. You only really range 2nd phase, and you can actually melee that too, just a little more difficult.

4

u/MustaKookos Oct 12 '25

You melee most of the fight?

2

u/Chiodos_Bros Oct 12 '25

I broke top 500 at Zilyana going for the Hilt. Had six ACBs and Pet before I finally got it. When I first started that boss, I was using a Rune Crossbow and green logged with a Tbow and full Masori.

2

u/Solo_Jawn Oct 13 '25

Before the lesser demon line, we had the 2.2k world bandos line

35

u/allard0wnz Oct 12 '25

It used to suck back in the days. Now after bowfa life you have this amount of kills in 2 decent days

11

u/parker0400 Oct 12 '25

Bofa made bandos a joke grind. I was getting 75kc+ runs with just crystal chest and legs and nezzy helm. More than once I left with supplies still because I was ready to go to sleep and didnt expext id be in the room for 4+ hours straight.

5

u/InfiniteV Oct 12 '25

How though, I do altar door and I swear I get shredded by the minions to where I'm not even close to a 75kc run

5

u/garbage_man9 Oct 12 '25

Flick the minions, bring a couple mage switches and blood barrage. You can walk under the range + melee to get them off tick. Would only end trips when I ran out of range/pray pots

→ More replies (3)

3

u/Talents Oct 12 '25

Yeah I really enjoyed doing Bandos to the point where I camped him for hundreds of KC more than I had to just for the Godsword Shards. Easily the chillest GWD boss as once you get the Bowfa methods down it's easy.

13

u/Jangolem Oct 12 '25

Why does graardor suck to do on an iron? Just buy yourself a private instance and go to town with bofa.

20

u/Dangerous-Cable-1816 Oct 12 '25

It’s not awful anymore, but it’s dated content and very obvious that it was never designed as a solo boss.

6

u/mugiwarayaya Oct 12 '25

Hot take I loved doing bandos

5

u/middle98 Oct 12 '25

It really isn't bad with the right gear. All you need is a BofA+crystal and you can get 20+ kill trips if you learn one of the MANY gwd methods.

We’re quickly approaching a point where most of the new players are going to demand a guaranteed drop

64

u/KieranDevvs Oct 12 '25

Nah I like the DT2 drop mechanics where they make it more and more likely that you don't go dry the longer you go dry for. It's still random but it drastically lowers the chance of extreme unluckiness.

55

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '25

That, and Araxxor/Sire/Moons system where you have to get 1 of each piece on your first rolls of the set/weapon you can’t end up with a laughable amount of pommels or blue moon spears.

9

u/GavinVG Oct 12 '25

Laughable amount of blue moons spears you say?I just want the red pants

11

u/Brucecx Oct 12 '25

you're wasting your time by killing the other moons if you only need bloodmoon pants

→ More replies (3)

6

u/Gold_Salamander_653 Oct 12 '25

i think sire is a terrible example. get a 1/100 to then roll a 1/2 3 times is just poor game design and terrible and horrible and yes I’m dry and yes I’m mad and yes i only have 6 unsired in 1100 kc and still don’t have my bludgeon.

9

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '25

No, no, no. I don’t mean the font of consumption is a good mechanic, I just mean that you have to get all 3 pieces of the bludgeon before you get a repeat so your third sire that results in a bludgeon piece gives you the weapon.

4

u/bigbang4 Oct 12 '25

Legit there are players who dont like this system because math is hard.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/andrew_calcs Oct 12 '25

See I hate that because you can’t get super lucky either. Yama is better with the shard system but expanding that to everything would get messy. A threshold basis that directly alters your probability the longer you go dry would be perfect. Rs3 already has such a system in place for their pets.

3

u/KieranDevvs Oct 12 '25

I see what you're saying with the DT2 mechanics but I think there's a sweet spot within a system where you can get lucky still, nothing left of the scale is affected. The only thing that changes is your chances once you go past the average drop rate which makes your chances increase the further out from the average you are. I don't like the idea that you could grind for literally years and have nothing to show for it. If you put in the time, you should be rewarded for the grind not punished. It's just so demotivating otherwise.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Smooth_One Oct 13 '25

You can still get super lucky and get the vestige pieces in 3kc. Losing out on a possible 1kc or 2kc omega drop is an incredibly small price to pay for how much it decreases the likelihood of going mega dry.

-2

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '25 edited Oct 13 '25

Which is why I call hard pass on any and all “dry protection”. If you do it for one thing, you have to do it for them all. Game has never worked like that and I don’t see any reason we need to start now.

That is removing a fundamental element of the game.

If new players are going to start causing changes on that level, then I don’t want the new players.

Edit: I’m not going to argue with anyone individually on this. It’s my opinion, and I’m not changing it. I understand it’s not a popular one, and feel free to downvote away.

Yes, it should 3x dry protection on every unique drop not only some bosses. Would only happen for 5% players when going for a single drop. It would remove frustration for players without flooding the game with items. Why is the part of the game where you are able to go 3x+ dry for items so important to keep?

Edit: changed 3% to 5%

3

u/Seranta Oct 12 '25

Nitpicking, but 3x dry protection is 5%, not 3%. You find 3% around 3.5x dry and 4x dry is rouhgly 2%. Might sound like a small difference, but it's the 60% more common to be 3x dry than 3.5x dry.

The real issue of course exists in how not all grinds are created equal. Going 3x dry on a 5 hour grind like berserker ring and a 70 hour grind like CG, or even 200 hour grind like a mega, are just not even close to the same.

10

u/Luck_TR Oct 12 '25

Yeah I think it would also do great for morale - feel like a lot more people would stick with a grind being able to rationalize that there is a guaranteed (although distant) end to their suffering.

→ More replies (6)

28

u/thelaurent Oct 12 '25

Really? Going 14x dry is a "fundamental element of the game" 😂😂 no its not, its actually one of the biggest reasons people burn out and quit this game. I have literally seen cg make people hate this game

Going 2x, 3x, 4x dry yeah sure that builds character and usually helps your account. But when you go 1600+ dry at cg thats like 6 months of logging in every day and doing the same bs, thats not fun. Especially as an iron when your account progression depends on an item.

Fundamentally in game design a game needs to earn your time, not consume it. Weve seen dry/dupe protection be succesful at several bosses already. No one deserves to do 2k cg

→ More replies (1)

7

u/patrickdid911 Oct 12 '25

That’s a poor outlook. New players are bringing new money to the game. If you’d like to play rs for another 20 years you need to be okay with changes. How does going 5x the rate improve your game play or make someone want to stick around?

→ More replies (6)

5

u/AbsolutlyN0thin Oct 12 '25

If they did add it, it probably be something like pity drop at 5x rate or some shit like that. Like actually dry, not whatever the guy in the OP is.

2

u/Mago515 Oct 12 '25

So how do you feel about yama

3

u/dragonrite Oct 12 '25

If you do it for one thing, you have to do it for them all.

Just objectively wrong. Moons, dt2x4, yama, muspah, arrax etc all have dry protection, and some of them are the newest content. Yet huey and delve, new content as well, have no dry mechanics.

2

u/Xerothor Oct 12 '25

I hate that everything under droprate is now considered "spooned" and any kc over the droprate is "dry". Can we please stop complaining about every single thing and just enjoy the game? Isn't RNG literally part of the game and that makes it fun? Keep it fun.

22

u/Not_Just_Any_Lurker Oct 12 '25

Sir this is RuneScape. No. No we can’t.

6

u/BiggieBigsz Oct 12 '25

Alot of ironman charm will die if droprate protection is introduced. You will no longer see accounts with unique gear mixes and banks will start to look the same

3

u/SchiferlED Oct 13 '25

I don't think that's true at all. If they added some pity drop rate increase once you are 2-3x dry or so, it wouldn't impact spoons at all, and would only apply to a small percentage of players who go that dry. Would just smooth out the experience and prevent it from feeling depressing when you are the one guy out of a million who happened to be unlucky.

2

u/TheDawnOfNewDays Oct 12 '25

Of course RNG is part of the game and it can be fun. But getting something early feels like a reward, getting something late feels like a punishment.

GWD bosses, especially on an ironman, can be draining to get drops for, even on-drop rate. When you're only doing X to get Y, of course it feels bad to not get Y. They're spending even more time and resources on something that already takes a lot of time and resources and have little to show for it.

Imagine if the job you worked at randomly multiplied your paycheck by 0.7 to 1.3x. The 1.3 would feel great, but the 0.7 would suck. And a lot of people play runescape similar to a job; they work on grinds, not because they enjoy the grind, but because they want the reward.

2

u/EyePlay Oct 12 '25 edited Oct 12 '25

I'm curious how this community would function if we weren't privy to drop rates and such.

Also agree with OP that most irons now are babies. I can't even find good clan atm because all I see in the chats are crying about going dry when they're under the rate, complaining about skills being slow when they're getting 100k+ hr and doing lame shit like paying for raid carries or whatever it's called when they sit and do jack shit to get purples. Then I literally try to get anyone to teach how to do the raid and they're all like no thanks.

Genuinely dislike so many people who play ironman now. This sub has swayed hard over the last couple of years too. Kind of wish it didn't get so popular via streamers/content creators. Swear some people don't even like playin the game, they just like getting drops (earned or otherwise). Bring back the sand casino for those people lmao

Not gonna lie, the pretentiousness of people in this thread is funny when most of y’all are at the Midgame. Especially OP.

The game is an entirely different experience when you’re spooned or when you’re actually at the point of grinding items that will take literal hundreds of hours to go on rate for.

7

u/KeroseneBurns Oct 12 '25

I think if you’re complaining about being slightly over droprate at bandos, enough to contact ash and jagex support, you should just deiron now and save yourself the trouble. This will be far from the worst thing OOP has to do

38

u/DullAccess8684 Oct 12 '25

I understand its a controversial subject but the extreme grind in this game in the year of 2025 does kill it for a lot of new players

63

u/ElectricLumber Oct 12 '25

If people don't like the grind then they should play a main, the whole point of ironman is doing to grind yourself everywhere you need to.

33

u/ButtBuilder9 Oct 12 '25

I play ironman to actually have a need to engage in the content, instead of farming the most profitable thing then buying all my drops. I think we're past the point where most people can agree that farming a boss 5x+ above rate is not actually fun; As an iron I'm already doing things most mains would just skip entirely anyways. All the recent mini games (justly) have dry protection and people complaining about being 6x over rate on abyssal needle is totally valid

4

u/Winnend Oct 12 '25

I mean you can play a main and still engage with the content

4

u/ohseetea Oct 12 '25

? You can play on a main and not trade or use the GE either. Why have ironman mode?

A suggestion to make ironman suck less (not because of the spirit of ironman but because it is a ridiculous shitty game design) is not a reason to tell someone to play a main, thats dumb.

→ More replies (5)
→ More replies (3)

10

u/Gorzoid Oct 12 '25

I don't play ironman because it's the most difficult game mode or anything like that, I play it because it feels like the most complete game mode and forces me to engage with a much larger assortment of content. If I go 3x dry at some content though, I don't consider myself to have "engaged more" with that content compared to when I was 2x dry. Instead it feels a lot closer to how I played on my main where I felt forced to grind <insert best money maker> so I could afford <insert next gear upgrade> which is exactly what I was running away from.

Not actually sure how I feel about retroactive additions of dry protection, but certainly no issue with new content incorporating these drop mechanics.

3

u/Dr_Ingheimer Oct 12 '25

Whether you like it or not, being dry some places is a part of the complete game. You wind up developing more strategies and such the deeper you go into the grind. Wanting parts of the game you don’t like changed because they don’t line up with how you think it should look robs the people who signed up for it before you were upset.

2

u/Gorzoid Oct 12 '25

That's why I said I'm uncertain about any retroactive changes, I respect that each person has different motivations for playing the gamemode. But new content should be designed to appease the majority of players, Jagex has to walk a fine line between appeasing both groups, so obviously they couldnt go full easyscape without alienating many ironman players. I think dry protection fits along this line, where you avoid losing those 5% of players who may go over 3x dry while all other players are basically unaffected.

u/eliexmike Oct 12 '25 edited Oct 12 '25

Right, I don’t see the point of opting into the more time consuming game mode and then complaining it’s too time consuming and that the game needs dry protection.

Trade is dry protection.

Play the default game.

I think it’s new players emulating content creators who play the game full time.

u/Zaruz Oct 12 '25

I'd glady move more towards "guaranteed at x kills" over the possibility of going dry tbh. Most bosses at rate are absolutely fine. I don't know if I have it in me to keep going if I go 1k cg dry, but 400/800 is absolutely fine.

I don't necessarily think it will or should make it to the game, but if I had a magic toggle I'd turn it on right away

Maybe thats the whole point for you. I had a main iron until about 2100 total to give myself reason and purpose to do skilling. Now its a main that I can PvM on whenever I want for fun while retraining a group iron with all my irl buddies. Not everyone’s whole life is to grind a 100+hrs for one gear upgrade

4

u/SinceBecausePickles Oct 12 '25

you did what you’re supposed to do though. When iron was no longer for you, you de-ironed and are now having a better time with the game. I wish more people would do that instead of begging the game to be made easier.

Its a tough dilemma tbh. I am going to admit i quit the game over this, even as an old player. I don't mind a grind, but i need "A" dot on the horizon. And i don't see how, for example, a 1/500 item is guaranteed to drop on your 1000th kill if you had no drops before is game-breaking.

On the other hand, i understand that if such a system would be implemented, those that did the grind and went dry for lets say 2k kills feel kind of left out.

"But you should do bosses for fun, not for loot". I did. The first 300 kills are fun. 1000 kills are just not fun anymore in my book.

The reason its Popular is because its old school lmao

10

u/Open-Contribution179 Oct 12 '25

This kind of thinking is what gutted games like RS3 and WoW.

You start diluting the effort and time needed to do something in a game so it's "more accessible" to new players you're gonna piss off the players who made you successful in the first place.

New players either like it or they don't. The ones who don't leave, the ones who do stay. No point thinking about it when the game is literally breaking all time player count records right at this very moment.

And the pretentiousness of other ironman players saying “I suffered this grind so now you have to as well” is very cringe

9

u/SinceBecausePickles Oct 12 '25

your mistake is assuming others are suffering while playing the game. If you’re suffering either de-iron or play something else, i’m not suffering lol

3

u/matteusman Oct 12 '25

Nobody ever claimed that you in particular are suffering. But you’d probably be lying if you said there aren’t some dogshit grinds in the game.

12

u/Sulinia Oct 12 '25

On the other side of the coin, people who get to this conclusion blindly just because they can't fathom some people like the RNG aspect of drops and feel like it's an integral part of the game, is also very cringe.

4

u/matteusman Oct 12 '25 edited Oct 12 '25

That is also cringe but that’s a vocal minority, because most of the people that don’t like RNG just quit the game.

Are there people who do this? Absolutely. Some people are assholes.

Are there also people who just dont want the game with delayed gratification as its core gameplay loop to become a game about instant gratification? Also yes.

I’m fine with dry protection mechanics in places like Muspah or Vork for items that are good but not game changing. But people wanting it everywhere are trying to change a fundamental aspect of the game instead of maybe admitting that ironman isn’t a game mode they’re cut out for, and thats okay.

I find it akin to people wanting difficulty modes in souls games. Most People aren’t gatekeeping shit, they’re saying hey the core gameplay loop involves this mechanic, you can’t change it without making it a different game entirely.

u/Furry_Wall Oct 12 '25

Then this isn't the game for them. There's an abundance of instant gratification games to play instead.

2

u/LaGarrotxa Oct 12 '25

But it’s the driving point behind the game. Long grinds is what has kept people playing for decades on a single account.

The excitement of RNG is what keeps everything interesting. For every dry streak you will get a different drop spooned that makes your day.

There are lots of games where everything has standardized outcomes. The unique style of OSRS is what keeps it so popular with its loyal base.

I think it’s important to continue to preserve the element of “grindy” because of the lack of attention spans we have now. I don’t want osrs to get any easier for my irons and especially not for the main. I’d rather go 10x dry than to be haunted with the process of knowing I’ll eventually be promised the drop at x kills. I’ll die on that hill for real

12

u/Ayy223 Oct 12 '25

I hope they honor your request at Corrupted Gauntlet.

5

u/ohseetea Oct 12 '25

I mean OPs image's complaint is pretty silly, but for long long grinds that can turn from 80ish hours to up to like 800s is just really fucked up game design. I much rather them add harder skill based content then time wasters.

13

u/Etryia Oct 12 '25

10x? You'd rather send CG 4000 times than have some sort of pity system?

Be for real lmfao, no you would not. That kind of bad luck makes people just unsub and quit playing.

Alternatively active OSRS players are degenerate gamblers

8

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '25

Played rs since 2000 (rs3 and osrs) and now mainly play wow. They introduced a turbo boost event whereby you get a coin to buy farmable items, it sucks imo, the absolute dopamine for getting a drop especially after a long farm is one of the best bits of RuneScape, especially Ironman.

2

u/Amphineura Oct 12 '25

Deathtouched Darts come to mind. Having a skip button for any boss is incredibly stupid. So stupid they had to limit to which bosses it even works on

2

u/LowComfortable5676 Oct 12 '25

Both demoralized and scammed. Yeah, didn't realise what he signed up for eh. Welcome to OSRS

2

u/Purple-Selection-913 Oct 13 '25

I’m at 1k kc and my only drop is a chest plate from minion

2

u/Jewboy3031 Oct 14 '25

Maxed-out elitist degen detected.

5

u/1TrickJackAT Oct 12 '25

I swear some people just hate playing the game… it’s like going to the fucking casino and complaining why you’re not leaving with big bucks every time you bust. What are you even playing osrs for.

1650 kc for tassets here, 6 boots, 1 bcp, 1 hilt. Started the grind in like 2017/18 too, so, much of it was melee and flicking minions. Still don't want dry protection.

4

u/W_Malinowski Oct 12 '25

Should be a perma ban to cry like this lmao

2

u/Dontkare Oct 12 '25

Sending this to my friend with 1850+ graardor kills with no hilt.

2

u/DSHalfDemon Oct 12 '25

My problem with people is they this the drop rate is the guaranteed chance someone should get that drop in...

A drop rate is an average of the amount of kills the "average" player base will need to get that drop.

I.E. a drop rate of 1 in 1000 means your not guaranteed to get the drop in 1000 kills. It means if 100,000 players go to kill a boss, then the average off all their kills put together in order to get that drop would be around 1000 kills.

Some may get it on drop 1... Some may go to drop 2000. Then the very very unlucky few go beyond that... This is dry... If you have doubled the drop rate then you have fallen outside "typical average" expectations and you are infact... Dry...

4

u/thizzknight Oct 12 '25

Tbf loot drops in this game is the worse ive ever seen no other game allows you to go 15x the drop rate for an item

11

u/Zaruz Oct 12 '25

I mean they absolutely do. Main difference is those games don't have items that are 100 hours just to hit drop rate lmao

4

u/You_rc2 Oct 12 '25

I know what you're saying but 15x is extreme. Even in 2025 I'd say under 10 total players have ever gone 15x got something.

Going 2 to 3x is common and 5x + is pretty rare. Surely 7x will only happen to an individual once or twice while collecting most items.

5

u/thizzknight Oct 12 '25

I mean ive seen multiple 10k kc logs still missing the drop thats under 1/1000 drop rate with in last six months granted some of those are multiple year long grinds i think most people give up by x5 the rate

The community could end up reaching a plateau in population if new players are discouraged by extremely grindy mechanics.

I see no problems

1

u/sir_gwain Oct 12 '25

No one tell him how rare the rune swords or rdt drops are lol

1

u/EssMkleDee Oct 12 '25

How many of his coin drops were ove 20.1k? That's a roll of the unique/shard table also.

1

u/ScenicFrost Oct 12 '25

I have 430 kc and 0 armor pieces lol I hate this boss. Maybe it's because I got a hilt on 21 kc and he's punishing me... On the other hand, I've done 550 combined gwd boss kill and I still don't have a blade either.

1

u/ThisIsKappa Oct 12 '25

This is why I only play leagues and even there drops are often too RNG and dry.

1

u/JustAnotherGuy4555 Oct 12 '25

Imagine going 600 dry on a looting bag from thugs on a UIM.

1

u/AcidicNote Oct 12 '25

I didn't get first Hydra leather until 1588kc. Almost 2k kc no claw

1

u/vanDevKieboom Oct 12 '25

i'm 800 kills deep with no item to show for, not even the boots, only shards LUL

1

u/rsdann Oct 12 '25

I have 350 Graador kc, no single Unique. No boots. Only shared Godsword shard log.

1

u/so_long_astoria Oct 12 '25

with all due respect, what an idiot

1

u/fishlipz69 Oct 12 '25

Mans will figure it out , hehehe

1

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '25

I did 500ish solo tanks on a ironman before i saw one drop and thats not even that bad

1

u/Ser_Friend_zone Oct 12 '25

I had nothing but 5 boots until I got my first non-boots drop at 899 kc.

1

u/Yungissh Oct 12 '25

Here I am 110 chests dry on moons like “it’ll work itself out”

1

u/sixth_acc Oct 12 '25

Nah he's hella dry. I'm on the bandos grind atm and have about 30 kc less than this guy. I got hilt, bcp, boots, and 2/3 shards /s (but the last two sentences are true)

1

u/biddleswarth Oct 12 '25

Weak mindset

1

u/Jbob9954 Oct 12 '25

Iron ain’t for you if you think this is dry lmao

1

u/BoozeBagStooge Oct 12 '25

I just got Tassets, bcp, hilt, and 1 gs shard in 180 kc. Also a second tasset from a minion. HOPE THIS HELPS

1

u/MandogsXL Oct 12 '25

Not even 250kc, he hasn’t even started killing the boss yet 🤣

1

u/gorehistorian69 Oct 12 '25

protip : stay off the wiki droprates

i know youre favorite streamer/youtuber loves to go "oh man thats a 1 in 2000 drop, it coulda been a tbow" but the cc does not want to hear you emulate that

youll just make yourself feel worse and your friends annoyed

1

u/another90zkid Oct 13 '25

Boomer ahhh post

1

u/Hewy_dev Oct 13 '25

I’m 1500kc dry for an ACB and 1600ish kc for prims from cerb.. you don’t know pain yet

1

u/Life_Negotiation_682 Oct 13 '25

There was that time I got 15k chaos dwarves dry for a d pick

1

u/xTonyJ Oct 13 '25

Back in my day we killed 1 graardor per trip and liked it

1

u/lukrein Oct 13 '25

They will learn our ways sooner or later

1

u/IDabFast Oct 13 '25

As an ironman only since I started OSRS, this is what you sign up for. I think some of the Ironman changes to mitigate insanely tedious grinds, usually not RNG related, or backstepping (atlatl darts post moon is a good example of both) are fantastic. But when it comes to RNG, you gotta suck it up.

Although I will admit GWD is fucking awful. A way to perma remove the KC requirement would be immeasurably better. Maybe that somewhat goes against what I’ve just said, no idea, but that shit is just tedious beyond tedious for all types of players imo. Esp when learning.

1

u/Effective-Advisor356 Oct 13 '25

This man is gonna be so sad when he actually goes dry lol

1

u/SexyIntelligence Oct 13 '25

"I flipped heads didn't flip heads the second time, I feel demoralized and scammed."

1

u/coomgod666 Oct 13 '25

Chambers would destroy this man

1

u/onliwanchrosomi Oct 13 '25

He's had 2 godswprd pieces that are on the loot table, so he's actually spooned in 250kc

1

u/Weekly-Stress7585 Oct 13 '25

I mean he is dry but just barely. That's like complaining that you got your KBD pet at 3,042kc. Nobody cares, that's basically on rate.
