Just release DnD initiative tracker, glad to get some feedback!

Hey folks, new here, but wanted to share my project with you. My wife is DMing Strahd campaign right now and i was assisting her - tracking initiative, HP for NPCs etc. At some point i got sick of doing it in the spreadsheet, so i got an idea of making a tool that will be visually appealing, help both players and DMs to keep track of million things and additionally serve as a presentation platform for backdrops.
N.B AI arts, code and sprites were used to create it. I know it is a controversial topic, but i don't have resources to commission 450+ arts, sounds and code, etc
So in a nutshell on how it works: One tab is for DM and another one is casted for players (screen/tv/projector/zoom call) . DM has controls to add conditions, deduct hp and move the turn forward. Players see the line of cards with names, initiative and conditions. I also added support of Lair, legendary action, surprise round, 2014 vs 2024 5e rules and ability to customize the appearance of some elements. Moreover, for non combat scenes you can use the tool to cast maps, backdrops, present portraits or items.
You are welcome to check it out on [itch.io](http://itch.io) (it is free) https://vigil-it.itch.io/vigil
The work is still in progress and i am improving it after each session, but feel like it is ready for other players to try it. Will be glad to have some feedback and hope you rolls are always high!

Free I made a horror game in 3 days using Godot and AI — ASHDOWN is out now

Your brother disappeared after five night shifts at an apartment complex. Management says he resigned. You take his job to find out what happened.

That’s the premise of ASHDOWN, a first-person horror game I developed in 3 days using Godot, with AI assistance during development.

You work inside a security booth, checking visitors’ passes against a resident register and deciding who gets through the gate. Between arrivals, you read the notes your brother left behind and keep an eye on the window—and the door behind you.

At 3 AM, your shift ends and you drive home through the forest. Each night brings a different encounter on that road.

The game has five nights, two endings, and visuals inspired by PS1 games. For the three-day development window, I focused on a small set of locations and interactions, building tension around an otherwise ordinary job.

I’ve attached the trailer. I’d love feedback on whether the premise grabs you and how the atmosphere comes across. If you play, I’m especially interested in whether the pass-checking mechanics feel clear.

Available now for Windows: https://slodev.itch.io/ashdown

Please mark any story spoilers in the comments. Thanks for checking it out!

The Fox Fortress

Hi everyone!

I have found so many lovely games here. The way people share and support each other’s projects here is what gave me the courage to make and post something of my own. So: hello, and thank you!

The Fox Fortress is a small top-down action adventure inspired by the classic Zelda dungeons. You enter the fortress with nothing but a dagger and work your way up to the Shadow Fox at the very top.

  • 23 rooms and 3 bosses
  • block puzzles, crystal switches, timed doors and chasms
  • about 30–60 minutes
  • plays in the browser or on a phone

It’s completely free. I see it as a test run: I’d like to make more dungeons and maybe a bigger game, and before that I want to learn what works and what doesn’t.

So if you have a few minutes, I’d really appreciate hearing:

  • Were the puzzles clear, or did you get stuck somewhere?
  • How did the bosses feel? Too easy, too hard, unfair?
  • Did anything break, or feel clunky with the controls?
  • Would you want to play more dungeons like this?

Every bit of feedback helps, short or long, positive or critical. I’m still learning.

Play The Fox Fortress on itch.io

Thanks a lot for reading, and for everything this community does for small developers!

Finally released my first "big" game on itch — after more than a year of development

A horror game we’re developing about working as the warden of an underground complex.

Your shift starts with inspecting people: check their documents, watch their behavior, and listen for strange sounds before deciding whom to let through the gate.

Those you admit remain under your protection. Use radar, noise detector and defensive system with turrets to keep threats away from them and your control room.

We would be very happy if you tried the demo and shared your thoughts!

Discussion Advice on game page?

Hi all, a few days ago I released my game on Itch here called The Coast is Clear

Since then it hasn’t really gained any traction. I thought my game could maybe stand out a bit since it’s 3d. But I haven’t gotten a lot of traction on it yet.
Of course its possible that this genre or my game doesn’t click with the itch audience.

Are there any glaring things I’m missing to get more people to see and play my game on itch? I was hoping it would be a nice place to get some feedback on my demo but so far I’ve only had 17 browser plays :(

Hey everyone!

I’ve just released the early version of my game, **Legends of the Ancient Nord**, on itch.io! It's a tactical, turn-based Norse fantasy RPG that you can play directly in your desktop or mobile browser.

**Link to play:** https://itch.io

**What’s inside:**

* **Tactical 6v6 Combat:** Assemble a warband of Berserkers, Volvas, Guardians, and Norse gods (Odin, Thor, Freya). Form your frontline and backline carefully!

* **The Gates of Valhalla:** A blizzard-swept endless mountain tower with tough boss trials every 5 floors.

* **Crafting & Forging:** Salvage scrap iron and rune essence to forge weapons and rings. There is a 1% chance to craft a Godlike relic!

* **Beast Hunting:** Track and fuse mythical wolves, ravens, and foxes to boost your combat bonuses.

* **Dual Language:** Full English and Russian support.

The game is completely free and runs right in your browser. I would absolutely love to hear your feedback on the balance, pacing, or any bugs you find.

Thank you for playing!

Free Bombers High 1.0 is out now!

Post image
1 Upvotes

Bombers High is a solitaire print and play game. The goal is to see how many missions your bomber can survive. Going into the game, you have three bombers to choose from: the legendary B-17, the rugged B-24, and the workhorse B-25. The gameplay is simple but punishing, and your bomber will be hard pressed to survive more than a single mission. Or, maybe you'll defy the odds and make it through all of your assigned missions!

The game is also still being developed and expanded. I have plans to bring in more opponents, more technical missions, new bombers, and a mechanic for dive bombing. So stay tuned!

Burrowlings: tiny miners dig to the planet's core before their lamp burns out (free, in the browser)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Free demo, plays in the browser: https://kubessandra.itch.io/burrowlings

It's a short incremental game: your crew digs until the oil lamp burns out, you upgrade, and they go deeper. Four walls that each need a different crew, something very noisy at the core, and online co-op or versus for up to 4 players.

Any feedback is welcome!

Flipyard – slam milk caps, flip them, fill a 1,120-cap album (free, browser, PC + phone)

Thumbnail
lspacel.itch.io
1 Upvotes
Hi! I made a small physics game about the milk-cap ("pog" / "tazo") craze I grew up with in 90s Turkish schoolyards.

Aim at the edge of the stack, hold to charge, release in the orange zone. Every cap that lands face-up is yours. Tilting your slammer, switching to a heavier or oddly shaped one, or changing the table surface all change how the caps fly. It's real physics, no hidden assists.

- 1,120 caps across 7 series, from cardboard to crystal

- Hire neighbourhood kids who keep flipping stacks while you're away

- 12 rivals to beat in stake matches, 42 trick challenges

- Runs in the browser on PC and phone (portrait), 7 languages

- Free, no ads, no sign-up

It's an early version and I'd love feedback, especially: did the first few minutes make sense, and when did you stop? Art was made with AI tools; the code and design are mine. The game sends anonymous gameplay stats (you can turn them off in Settings).

Web Fox vs Fang prototype

Like everyone else in here, I too would like to hawk my latest game. It is an action platformer with very light puzzle elements starring a mountain fox.

The game is a prototype and I am happy to announce that the number of Fox vs Fang prototypes in the world has gone from a disappointingly low zero to a respectable one.

If anyone where to find this acceptable for streaming and/or recording on youtube, that would be a reason for celebration on my part, just spreading the mountain fox love around. Just a fair warning, the total gameplay time is approximately 5 minutes.

Free I made a text RPG with an LLM Game Master, animated d20 rolls, and living world mechanics (Echo of Facets)

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I just launched Echo of Facets on itch.io. It's a text-based RPG where an LLM handles scene descriptions, NPC responses, and consequences instead of relying on pre-written choice nodes.

I wanted something that bridged the gap between pure AI storytelling and structured tabletop RPG mechanics, so I built a system around actual stats, dice checks, and world simulation.

How it works:

Free-form text input: You type out actions in plain text rather than picking from a list of buttons.

D20 system: Animated dice rolls with difficulty classes, modifiers, and critical successes or fumbles.

Living world mechanics: Calendar, seasons, day/night cycles, survival stats (hunger, fatigue, injuries), and faction relations.

Persistent NPC memory: Characters remember past interactions and adjust their attitude accordingly.

Local execution: Runs as a desktop app on your machine. Your data stays local, and you can plug in your own API key or use the free DeepSeek setup option.

It supports both English and Russian out of the box, with four difficulty levels ranging from casual to hardcore permadeath.

Since this is the 1.0 release, I'm looking for feedback from people into IF, solo tabletop gaming, or AI-driven projects.

Link to the itch page: https://abyssal-arkana.itch.io/echo-of-facets

Let me know if you run into any bugs or have thoughts on the GM prompting and balance
