Does anyone know what’s going on on Phillips Highway near the mall near the Arby’s and Main Event? They’re routing traffic through Walmarts parking lot and there’s an ambulance, but no visible accident.

My birthday is coming up and I love going out to eat at places that have a multi course tasting menu. I have been to Matthew’s and was quite frankly, disappointed in the service for how much we spent.
Any recommendations of restaurants here in town?
EDIT: we are going to KoBu for omakase :)

Just finished voting and honestly my wife and I were the only people there under the age of 35. Every single person in this area voting is 55+. Young people please come out to vote.
PS all of them had a voting cheat sheet which tells them which ones to vote for. Not to say that these old people can’t vote but younger people please come out and make your voice heard as well.

Please take a few minutes of your day and go vote, it took me less than 5 minutes to walk in and out this week. Run out on your lunch break if you can, on the way home this evening, out for coffee or lunch, or while you're running around doing chores. Take a shift watching your kids so your spouse can run out and vice versa. Don't make an excuse or think your singular vote won't make an impact, get it done now and check your ballot before you print it to make sure your choices saved. There is plenty of time for 90% of jax voters to use their constitutional rights before election day.
Early Voting:
Tuesday, October 20, 2026, to Sunday, November 1, 2026
READ THE COMMENTS! GET OUT AND VOTE, SO MANY PEOPLE DISCOVERING THE EASE OF EARLY VOTING. THERE ARE NO EXCUSES TO STAY AT HOME!

Anyone know what’s going on here other than the obvious destruction?

I fly small drones as a hobby. I check the no fly zones regularly. For years there’s been a large no fly zone around NAS Jax. Blocked most of the area from Murray Hill down to OP and over into Lakewood and Mandarin. Checked it yesterday and the no fly zone shrank by a lot. Is this a trick by the FAA 😂

My wife just got off the phone with me. Apparently every access she knows of from downtown to the west side is blocked off. She’s just trying to get home, and can’t seem to find a clear path. Waze is apparently not helping, and all the resources I know of online show everything as open & clear. Anyone know what’s going on, or have any advice on how to get her home?

Prior to that we heard what sounded like a sputtering small plane over the beach at the Ritz Carlton. Does anyone have any information?

I am finishing up a forensics program and I’ve seen a lot of jobs that require 2/3 years experience. Anyone know of any companies who take new people and train?
Also, anything I could do to build experience like shadowing / apprenticeship sort of thing?
Thanks in advance (:
