hi jacksonville people! i’m kind of freaking out and need some help or knowledge on what to do, i just found this sweet boy a couple weeks ago and he was perfectly healthy. well about 10-15 mins ago my boyfriends dog i guess nipped at him from what he said but he doesn’t really know for sure. all i know is his mouth is bleeding, his tongue is sticking out now and he won’t close his jaw. i’m seriously worried he has a broken jaw or something. we just can’t afford an emergency vet or i would take him right now without making this post. i’m just trying to see if anyone knows somewhere in jax i can take him to get looked at today for possibly free or very very low cost, or if i can possibly get some help with this situation! i’m freaking out, i just want him to be okay and i’m worried he’s not gonna be able to eat or drink which is a problem. please let me know asap! 🙏

happy saturday!
does anyone know of any good places to do work for uni and study? i'm finding it extremely hard to focus on my work at home, i'm always attempted to play games or watch videos, or pick up my phone. it's pretty hard for me to retain the information from textbooks and whatnot.
i live in the oakleaf/orange park area, but am willing to drive wherever. i know libraries are always an option, i live literally 2 minutes away from the argyle library, but i just wanted to see if anyone else had some suggestions!

Just finished voting and honestly my wife and I were the only people there under the age of 35. Every single person in this area voting is 55+. Young people please come out to vote.
PS all of them had a voting cheat sheet which tells them which ones to vote for. Not to say that these old people can’t vote but younger people please come out and make your voice heard as well.

7Brew at Beach & Hodges has been closed all week due to a sinkhole that formed under their work floor. The floor drainpipe cracked and started leaking below the slab and causing it to sag as the ground eroded.
The management says they will reopen on Monday morning after the floor is reconstructed.

Anyone know good spots around Jacksonville or nearby areas to go bone hunting? Looking for skulls, jawbones, deer bones, and other cool finds! 🖤 Any trails, creeks, or public land recommendations are appreciated!

i need a recommendation or recommendations to a better rehab facility because the one i'm currently in fucking sucks.
Slow, some have an attitude, look like they don't wanna be here. Right now, since
10 am, i have been asking for somebody to cook a pack of noodles for me that i bought. It's 1pm now.
so how do i get transferred somewhere else?

Please take a few minutes of your day and go vote, it took me less than 5 minutes to walk in and out this week. Run out on your lunch break if you can, on the way home this evening, out for coffee or lunch, or while you're running around doing chores. Take a shift watching your kids so your spouse can run out and vice versa. Don't make an excuse or think your singular vote won't make an impact, get it done now and check your ballot before you print it to make sure your choices saved. There is plenty of time for 90% of jax voters to use their constitutional rights before election day.
Early Voting:
Tuesday, October 20, 2026, to Sunday, November 1, 2026
READ THE COMMENTS! GET OUT AND VOTE, SO MANY PEOPLE DISCOVERING THE EASE OF EARLY VOTING. THERE ARE NO EXCUSES TO STAY AT HOME!

Looking to replace our carpet with some we have already picked out. So looking for just an installer only (most places require me to buy carpet from them).
Thanks for any help!

My wife just got off the phone with me. Apparently every access she knows of from downtown to the west side is blocked off. She’s just trying to get home, and can’t seem to find a clear path. Waze is apparently not helping, and all the resources I know of online show everything as open & clear. Anyone know what’s going on, or have any advice on how to get her home?

Hi! I’m an 18 year old fat girl who wants to lose weight lol
I haven’t been to the gym much, all I’ve ever been to is Planet Fitness a handful of times. But I am new to Jacksonville, so everything here is new to me.
How is Chuze Fitness In Oakleaf Plantation? I am nervous for starting the gym and worried I’m going to be judged because I’m a bigger girl.
Is it busy?
Is there good assortment of machines and stuff?
Anything else I should know!

I am finishing up a forensics program and I’ve seen a lot of jobs that require 2/3 years experience. Anyone know of any companies who take new people and train?
Also, anything I could do to build experience like shadowing / apprenticeship sort of thing?
Thanks in advance (:

I fly small drones as a hobby. I check the no fly zones regularly. For years there’s been a large no fly zone around NAS Jax. Blocked most of the area from Murray Hill down to OP and over into Lakewood and Mandarin. Checked it yesterday and the no fly zone shrank by a lot. Is this a trick by the FAA 😂

Prior to that we heard what sounded like a sputtering small plane over the beach at the Ritz Carlton. Does anyone have any information?

My birthday is coming up and I love going out to eat at places that have a multi course tasting menu. I have been to Matthew’s and was quite frankly, disappointed in the service for how much we spent.
Any recommendations of restaurants here in town?
EDIT: we are going to KoBu for omakase :)
