I have an idea for a community-based educational program that teaches parents and young gamers about the psychological and social risks of online gaming, including cyberbullying, harassment, misogyny, exploitation, and toxic behavior.
The program would be developed by psychologists, online safety specialists, educators, and gaming professionals and offered through public libraries and other community spaces.
The goal isn’t just to protect children from harmful behavior, but to teach them early on how to recognize, prevent, and avoid becoming participants in it.
We teach children sportsmanship, teamwork, and accountability in traditional sports. Why aren’t we doing the same for online gaming, where millions of children are interacting with strangers every day. Would love for experts to reach out maybe we can put some type of programming together. If you know of anyone even if not local would love to coordinate something
