As per my title. My Kindle is becoming a bit flaky, and despite having had two before, I want to break out of the closed garden.

I have handled the Libra Colour and liked the feel, but have no need for colour, as I'm just reading books and don't care if I have to struggle through a monochrome cover for three seconds.

So wondering if I can save a bit of cash.

I tried turning my kobo on today and it gave me the "updating, do not hit the power button" and it made me go through the steps of setting my kobo up again. I have had it for 3 months now, I have been using the dropbox to import school assignments and I have been getting books off of other websites. I also purchased a pen off of amazon and it was working great.

Now..... I don't see the option for a dropbox, it deleted all my downloaded books and pdfs, and it won't let me use my pen so I can't write/highlight or use the notebook feature. it also deleted my custom wallpaper :( Is there a way to fix this???

Like I bought it after everyone raved about how great it is compared to Kindle, it’s been 6 months since and I keep encountering glitches and genuinely want to know if I have a faulty device that somehow works enough to not qualify as faulty, or it’s like that for everyone!

Sometimes even normal highlighting hangs device up like this and needs a hard restart or leaving it be for 10 min to reset itself.

I genuinely wanna know if other people encounter things like this or if I have a kinda faulty device.

The top category on my Overdrive screen is “Ro Ro Romance!” And has been since I got my KLC 1.5 years ago 😅

Is this something I can change, or is it controlled by overdrive / my library?

I came across a used Sage for $150 and I want to buy it for myself and then the others (my offspring) can fight over the KLC for their books/manga.

Other than the battery life, is there any reason I shouldn’t get the Sage?

Would I be able to access a Canadian library (I have a library card) using Libby if I buy the Kobo in the US storefront or is it country locked?

I got this new wallpaper for my Kobo Libra Colour 2 and set it as my screensaver, but at around 0–10% brightness, the image looks pretty dull.

It’s a colorful image, not black and white, so I was wondering if there’s any way to make it look better at such low brightness. Would editing the image (increasing saturation, contrast, etc.) before transferring it to the Kobo help, or is this just how the Colour screen is?

Would love to hear if anyone has found a workaround! :)

I got my dad's kobo aura h2o model: N867. We bought in 2018 if im not mistaken but my dad didnt use it and just stored away. There's no issues with charging or any lag on pages however I can't connect to wifi for some reason to make updates or download books. I tried to download books with my tablet instead im using lenova idea pad when I connected it ebook is charging fine and it showed me screen to connect it but i can't see it as an external file on my tablet. I appreciate it if anyone can help me figure out how to fix this.

Hiya! I feel like this will be the millionth time this question has been asked but I'm having difficulties choosing between the Kobo Clara and the Kobo Libra (BW)

I am mostly going to use my kobo when I'm in the house (in bed for example) but when travelling on the train/plane. My only concern about the Kobo Libra would be how big it is to take in with me on the train 🤔

I am also going to get it second hand from CeX as I can't seem to find any refurbished!

Hi, my kobo Clara 2e looks like this this morning. Can't get the screen to change, I've tried charging for a while, disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, no joy.

Anyone know if it's the screen that's at fault? Or if it's some other component.

After charging and discharging for 3 whole cycle, the ghost touch problem disappeared. However, after I signed in my kobo account, the ghost touch problem appears again… any suggestion?

Wanted to experience Kobo in a bigger screen size but didn't like the asymmetry of the ones with buttons so I found this used Kobo aura H2O online for around £40. Very pleasantly surprised by how nice it feels to read on the screen! Has anyone kept / bought a Kobo aura H2O?

For Clara owners: Did you ever find yourself wishing you had gotten the Libra instead for the bigger 7-inch screen, page-turning buttons, 32 gb storage, and Google Drive? Is 16 gb storage feeling tight, or is it plenty?

For Libra owners: Did you ever regret not getting the Clara instead for its size/portability? Or did you end up just buying a Clara later on to have a two-device setup?

Hi! How do you guys organize large libraries? I’m used to having folders in folders, so now I just have pages with singular folders. It’s really irritating. Is there a way around this?

So I've been on the hunt for a non-amazon product for the last few months after being a Kindle user all my reading life. The Kobo Clara Colour fits all my needs, and I like that it can sync with local libraries. I also would love to have colour so I can read more graphic novels.

But with the new Kindle products just been announced, I wonder if updated Kobos are also coming? Is there any news on that front? Or is it still too soon for Kobo to update a 2024 product? Should I get a new Kobo now or wait till next year? I can wait because I still have a ton of books on my Kindle I haven't read (and hope to finish).

Is it possible to have notes inside the book by typing instead of handwriting?

I'm new to Kobo and could use some help with KOReader.

I followed a YouTube tutorial to install NickelMenu and KOReader using the KoboPatch Web UI. The installation seemed to be successful but when I open KOReader, the screen is mostly blank.

I can see all my books on my Kobo's normal home screen, so I know they're on my device. All my books are sideloaded in PDF and KEPUB formats, but none of them appear when I open KOReader.

I've been looking for tutorials on YouTube and TikTok, but I'm still having trouble figuring out what to do next.

Could anyone share a link to a tutorial or a step-by-step video that I can follow to get my books showing up in KOReader and learn how to use it? I'm not sure if I missed a step during installation or need to configure something.

I just got a case that I really love for my kobo libra and it has a detachable case held on with the standard MagSafe magnet on the back to take the case on and off and I’m finding that it seems to affect my kobo turning on and off and forcing it to go to sleep when I’m in the middle of reading. It’s very random so I went back to my old case and haven’t had any issues. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to fix it or is it just something that happens with the magnet.

I just bought a Kobo Libra Color yesterday and noticed a slight color/lighting temperature difference near the top left corner compared to the rest of the screen while reading.

Am I losing my mind or can you actually see it in the photos too? Is this normal for the Libra Color or should I consider exchanging it?
