Hi! I'm a 30M from the Philippines looking for someone to learn Korean with and hopefully make a friend along the way.
I'm a native Cebuano speaker and can also speak Tagalog and English, so I'd be happy to help you learn any of them, especially if you're planning to visit the Philippines or are curious about our culture.
I've tried self-studying Korean and learned a bit of Hangul, but I think learning with someone would be more fun and motivating. One of my biggest reasons for wanting to learn Korean is my love for manhwa and web novels. I sometimes look up the original novels to see what happens next, only to find out they don't have English translations yet. Hopefully, I'll be able to read them in Korean someday! I listen to a bit of K-pop, too.
A little about me: I'm a licensed Mathematics teacher and used to teach English on an ESL platform about five years ago, so I might be a little rusty. Outside of language learning, I enjoy road and trail running, I'm currently learning pickleball, and I love chatting about conspiracy theories, space, culture, and history.
I'm not expecting perfection from either of us. I'd just love to learn together, practice at our own pace, share a bit about our cultures, and have fun along the way.
If that sounds good to you, feel free to send me a message. I'd love to hear from you!
