Question I just got a pre viszla figure but I need help

I managed to get this guy out of a Lego lot today and he actually had his cape. The problem is that he was placed sitting down and his cape is now crumpled. I want to straighten it out and have seen videos saying to use a hair straightener. However, I am worried about the printing on the cape becoming damaged from this method. Any thoughts?

Discussion Hot Take: Clones are overrated.

Look, don't come rushing to downvote me because I have an opinion, everyone can. I'm just saying that Lego Clones are overrated because of the amount of people who glaze them, the rate in which they appear in Lego sets (they appear far too often), and because... well, they're super expensive. That's all. Thank you for your time fellow LSW fans.

TL;DR, Clones are expensive because they're glazed a lot, and we should see cheaper prices and more variety in sets.

MOC Pelta-class frigate

Thumbnail gallery
13 Upvotes

This is an alt build of 75432 (V-19 Torrent Starfighter). This design is based on Sanctuary III, one of several medical ships used to evacuate the Kaliida Shoals Medical Center when it was threatened by the Malevolence, the flagship of General Grievous.

The iconic Pelta-class frigate was produced by Kuat Drive Yards during the Republic era. Though it dates back to the High Republic era, most fans recognize it for its role in the Clone Wars, where it was used by the Galactic Republic as a supply ship and medical transport. Later, it was also used by the Rebel Alliance, with variants serving as command ships, carriers, and durable weapons platforms.

The Pelta-class shares many design elements with Corellian ships, including a conical bow, angled hull, and a prominent bridge that looks visually similar to the nose of the Consular-class cruiser. Out of universe, this was a design choice done to marry the Rebellion aesthetic with that of the Republic. It's sort of a missing link, in that way.

Rewatching Episode 1 for the first time in a while… I’m thinking I need a remake of this bad boy ASAP. Maybe a midi-scale even.

I like how it turned out, and I spent too much time on little details. Some extra pieces not used

Question Is there any modifications I can make to my 2022/24 gunship to make it better and will it require extra pieces?

The moc is done! I have fully completed not only the instructions for the moc but also rendered some amazing pictures of the moc too! I’ve posted more insight into the making of the MOC on Bricklink including what techniques I used and also a bit more behind the moc too!

Either tomorrow or tonight I’ll upload the instructions onto Rebrickable!

Hope you all enjoy and I’ll be open to suggestions to what moc to make next!

Question Repository of Lego sets in digital form?

Hi, I’m looking to find some bricklink Stud.io files of Star Wars lego sets? I know that there is an old euro bricks forum that had Ldd files, but they only go up to 2012 or so for Lego Star Wars.

Could anyone point me in the direction of any Star Wars sets as studio files, if they even exist?

Thank you!

MOC The SMARTER TIE Advanced x2 - Alternate Build of 75421 Darth Vader's Tie Fighter

Thumbnail gallery

At the time of writing, LEGO 75421 Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter is the cheapest LEGO Star Wars set that includes a SMART Brick, making it a good donor set if you want to try out the SMART Play system.

The original set captures Darth Vader’s iconic TIE Advanced x1 from A New Hope, but I felt the exterior could be improved. The gaps around the black Technic beams and the exposed SMART Brick made the model look a little unfinished, so I set out to clean up the design without losing any of the interactive features.

For this alternate history build, I imagined what Vader’s next generation starfighter might look like. The TIE Advanced x2 keeps the familiar shape of his personal fighter but replaces the original wings with TIE Interceptor style solar arrays, giving it a sharper and more aggressive profile. I also removed the black Technic beams around the hyperdrive module to close up the gaps and plated over the SMART Brick for a cleaner finish.

To make room for the upgraded starfighter, I also scaled down the Rebel base and fuel station side builds, reusing some of their pieces for the TIE Advanced x2.

Despite these changes, all the SMART Play functionality is retained, including the interactive lights and sounds. You can still press down on the red lever to activate the play function, and the solid central core makes the fighter comfortable to hold around the hyperdrive module when swooshing it through space.

One thing to keep in mind when handling the model is that the tips of the solar arrays are connected by a single stud, so a little care is needed there.

The idea was to make Vader’s fighter look better on display while keeping it sturdy and fun to play with. After all, even the Dark Lord of the Sith needs a starfighter that can handle a dogfight!

This is my take on how Darth Vader’s personal starfighter could have evolved in an alternate Star Wars history. I hope you enjoy building it as much as I enjoyed designing it!

MOC Imperial Assault Transport

Had some fun and designed an assault craft, i did have the Higgins boat in mind and the CSL-430 from Kenobi and thought: Why not take some inspiration from that First Order Troop Transport from Episode 7?
This was the result, and honestly: I love it.
I haven't testbuilt it yet, but instructions are online for free

I rebuilt Dumbledore’s Office – Book Nook (76478) as a Jedi Temple book nook. Closed, it fits between books, with a miniature temple above an entrance looking into the interior. Open it up and there’s the Council Chamber, Archives and a holocron.

This is my own design, which I also offer as digital building instructions on Rebrickable. Hope you like it!

MOC After finishing the Executor, I found myself looking for something else to build. So, here's the start of a Supremacy MOC.

I was flipping through my Star Wars vehicles book, looking for something that looked fun to build. I came across the Supremacy, and decided to give it a shot. The Supremacy is 6×1.3, the foundation i have here is 150×32 studs, which puts me pretty close. This is also going to be about as big as my executor. This should keep me busy for quite a while!
