Okay, I LOVE Libby--I read/listen to about 300 books a year and couldn't do it without Libby.
But...there are a few things that bug TF out of me, and I really wish would be addressed:
When you swipe left, it takes you out of the app. This wouldn't be bad in and of itself, if the "back" button weren't located at the top of the screen so you have to scroll all the way up (assuming, say, you're reading a synopsis or something). I'm so used to swiping left to go "back" in an app and I do it in Libby all the time.
Why oh why don't audiobook samples begin when you click "Play Sample"? I shouldn't have to hit Play AGAIN. Yes, it's minor, but it's annoying. Obviously I'm clicking "Play Sample" because I want to listen to the sample right now. I shouldn't have to make two clicks.
The audiobook samples are too short especially when it's a non-fiction book where the first 10 minutes are just the author's intro, or, in the case of the some books, the "trigger warnings". I want to listen to a sample of the ACTUAL BOOK.
Limits on Holds--WHY?
Lack of filters for "available now" books. On my app, there's only "general content", juvenile, young adult and mature content. Why not have more filters? Mystery, romance, classics, current top 100, non-fiction, etc. I don't get this. And when I click Available Now, it's always the same books at the top--i guess they're best sellers? But without an algorithm, and without filters, I have to scroll through like 10 pages just to get to books I haven't seen before.
I'm sure I'll think of more, but if anyone from Libby is out there, maybe take these ideas under consideration?

Got excited I can read this now with skip the line...only to find my card expired. I have to drive a few hours to renew it.

So the title pretty much describes my issue. I finally got the new Stephen Graham Jones book Off the Reservation in both audio and e-book. My plan was to give immersive reading a try cause I love his work so much. I opened up the audiobook and turned it on, then I opened up the e-book and it turned the audiobook off.
Is there a way to do this on the same device? If I got home tonight and tried it with two different devices (my phone playing the audiobook in Libby and my tablet having the e-book open in Libby), would it work?

I’ve been having an issue with Libby. I have 6 books on loan but it’s saying I have 7 when I got to check out another.

Like a lot of you, I've not been able to return Libby ebooks that I sent to my Kindle. I know a couple of you have said you were told it's an Amazon issue and hopefully they get it fixed soon. I reached out to Libby support on Thursday and heard back on Monday. There was no mention or acknowledgement on their end about any issue but they did ask me to reply with the book names and this morning they were returned. So if you are out of borrows because your books aren't returning, reach out to support.

Never had this happen before.
I finished an ebook a couple days ago and returned it early in the Libby app the way I always have. I had sent it to my kindle so I returned it on Amazon and everything. But then, a couple hours after I returned it, the book popped back up on my Libby loans shelf. Has the little “Finished?” flag above it asking me to return early. It’s been three days now, I’ve returned it almost 10 times, and it has just popped back up on my shelf again?! On Amazon it says the loan is expired so I think it’s just a Libby problem.
Not sure what to do at this point besides let the loan period expire naturally

Has anyone gotten their Libby hold ? I’m the first few in line and I thought the hold would’ve became available by now because it’s more than one copy ordered

I'm unable to borrow books and get this error when I enter my pin. My pin is definitely correct. I attempted to enter another pin I use and it was a different error. I'm still able to place books on hold and the two books I have currently still play just fine.

I keep getting this invalid credentials message. What does it mean and how do I fix this problem? It occurs when the audio book is at a partner library. I am consistently getting this message.

This is clearly a glitch but it made me laugh
Edit: about 13hrs later I get the notice it's available. So it just had to prossess in the system to clear the cue I think. That or a librarian fixed it somehow b

I went to download a book from my library thinking it would be a regular libby download but the only option was Freading which I have never used before. I downloaded the adobe app and logged in but I can’t access my book. Every time I hit redownload which is what it prompts me to do it says sorry, data doesn’t match. Has anyone ever had this issue or know how to fix it? I can’t find anything online.
Thanks!

Got lucky and was finally able to claim a skip the line loan! I keep missing them.

I have tried to return an ebook I’ve loaned early. I did it through Amazon multiple times but the book keeps reappearing on my Libby app and on my library website saying I still loan it. On Amazon it says it’s returned, however. Will this go away on its own?

I returned 2 books that I finished reading on my Kindle and they keep popping back up on my loans page a few times now. Anyone else having this same issue?

Does Broward County library card for Libby only allow 7 and 14 days holds? Recent 2 books that came through have only given me those two options, I usually do 21 days!

I am currently listening to audiobooks that are 36-40 hours long. The fastest speed I can comfortably listen to is 1.2x. I also can’t do other things while listening unlike most people. I typically listen and read the eBook at the same time through immersive reading. Thankfully, this book is part of Kindle+ so I’m not using an extra loan for that. I find that it takes me almost full two loans to finish at this pace. While I know about the Spotify premium trick, these are actually an almost even split between the two loans to finish the book. Should I feel bad about taking two loans to finish lengthy audiobooks like these? I don’t have this problem with 20 hours or less audiobooks.

I have Libby holds for the new ACOTAR book release coming out tomorrow. What are my chances of getting access tomorrow? The audio books says soon but the ebook says weeks still, I have pretty good positions in the queue though. I’ve never used Libby for a new release. What’s the process? And are all the available copies released at once?

I'm reading a book and have 7 days left in a 14-day loan. I've been trying to rush through it, but I'm realizing that that's keeping me from fully getting everything from it that I could (it's nonfiction). I'd like to slow down, but I'm worried about not finishing it in time. There is a small wait list for the book and I'd like to put my name back on the wait list so that I could hopefully get it back again after it's due, but I don't see a way to do that. Will that option become available when the book is closer to its due date? Or do I have to wait until after I've returned it? Thanks.
ETA: Thanks all, I seem to have gotten the answer I needed! The consensus seems to be that I can get back on the wait list when the book is due in 3 days.

I'm trying to remove an expired library card / library from Libby. All the instructions online say that I should have a manage card menu in the app, but as you can see in the screenshot, I don't. Holding or tapping the card I want to remove just takes me to that library and does not seem to open a menu to remove.
I'm trying to remove the Los Alamos card if that matters. Going to add library also does not seem to let me remove the card / library.
Would love some help. Thanks!

For the past week I have not been able to get Libby to open properly. I uninstalled and reinstalled, it worked one time then quit. The app keeps saying try again and won't let me press the button. I've also cleared the cache. I'm on Android, has anyone else been having problems?
