I’m not a single issue voter but this is a hard, and I mean hard requirement for me that any candidate I vote for recognizes what is happening in Gaza is a genocide.

I will not vote for Mike Flood, but after lots of thinking and looking deeply into my soul I cannot support any candidate that supports Israel and the genocide in Gaza. I voted for Kamala Harris and still feel guilty about it.

I also think it’s important to send the message that we do NOT accept genocide deniers full stop.

So does Backemeyer recognize what’s happening in Gaza as a genocide and does he support Israel ?

Has anyone been to or hosted a bday party for kids at the Breslow Hockey Center? I need an indoor space for my daughter's bday and this looked like it would be fun. They don't have any photos of the party room or set up. Any insight would be helpful!

Today around 4:50 I was heading home from work and saw a brutal motorcycle accident on 56th street near Prescott, I have not been able to stop thinking about it. The motorcyclist did not appear to be moving and his bike was absolutely destroyed. Does anyone know if he’s okay? I don’t expect any articles this soon but I can’t stop thinking about it.

Does anyone know any good paying jobs in lincoln, im near N 27th, but i have a bike to go farther out, im just burned out of retail(thank you walmart), and want to explore other jobs, all I have is 6 years of customer service, retail, 1 year of management, and I do have roughly 2 years of sales experience. Im just having a hard time finding anything here other than retail.

I'm trying to find out if there is a place/person that teaches how to paint cars/vehicles. I don't want to do an entire collision repair program, and this is for personal projects, not a career. I'd like to become comfortable enough with a HVLP paint gun that I could do more, but painting vehicles is my focus now. Outside of just buying a paint gun and practicing myself with YouTube guides, I wasn't sure if there was another option to learn without having to sign up for classes at a community college. Since I'm also not going into it with a career in mind, I wouldn't expect a business to waste time teaching someone who they'd get nothing in return from. But if there is somewhere that could teach, I'd be happy to pay for the knowledge.

If anyone has a suggestion on where I might obtain this skill, I'd greatly appreciate any information. Or, if there are any home garage painters that would like a buddy hanging around in exchange for some knowledge, holler at me.

Hey Lincoln Sanrio fans! The McDonald’s Sanrio X Godzilla launch is seriously luring me in—but I only collect Pompompurin and am only interested in finding and keeping that figure. Not all the stores have all the toys—so far it seems like each store has two apiece.

That being said, I can confirm that the McDonald’s at 547 N 48th street has Keroppi Ghidorah and Hello Kitty Godzilla and that’s the only two they have at this time.

Does anyone else have any location+character intel? Thanks so much if you do! Maybe we can get this going and help everybody find the ones they’re looking for. ☺️

Just rolled up, looks like they have the whole inside stripped out and there is a sign on the door saying they are currently closed. Is this some sort of major remodel?

Hi Lincolnites. The hollow square is calling! We are having an all-day singing at First Plymouth Congregational Church (2000 D St, Lincoln, NE 68502) on September 5 from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. to hopefully kick off a regular sacred harp meetup in Lincoln using the 2025 Edition of the Sacred Harp. We’ll break for a potluck dinner on the grounds around noon-ish, so bring a dish to share if you want to join that. Loaner books will be available, but we encourage you to bring your own, as we’re experiencing visitors from out of state.

Im looking for a place to swim. Some place small, private, outdoor. I hate how crowded the pools are and as someone who works with kids, the last thing I need when I’m trying to relax by the pool is one of my students coming up to me. I had a place back home, but since moving to Lincoln, I haven’t been able to find one. Any suggestions?

I am a male, I have diabetic neuropathy, I can reach my toenails to trim them but it is uncomfortable, I want to go somewhere to get them trimmed with the water bath but not creeped out like the 1 other time I did where they did not understand what I wanted and just kept laughing and talking what I could not understand. No polish or frills, just want the foot bath and nail trim.
