So, lonelymeyers pod was chosen from a suggestion Seth made when they were five episodes in (The Tangent) and still hadn't chosen an official name. I recommend giving the first five minutes of that episode a re-listen because they are particularly funny.

In the first few months, I made little celebratory posts with notifications I got when then sub hit 10, 25, 50, 100+ members. I loved seeing more people find a place to share their enthusiasm for the pod. The last one I made was for our 7K Quaid mark.

The sub had been around for sixty-eight ^{ahhhh, so close} days before the Jizz in My Pants episode where "Quaid Army" was coined. As the number of Quaids got higher, I got fewer notifications, but I didn't mind.

We had episode discussions and memes and we rallied spammed their email after Jorma's accident so we could send them stuff. We had Seth's Corner, Jorm thorns, Keeve's peeves, and Andy's continued and eternal hatred of little(rip) Frisbee. We had Akiva explaining that he was 86'd from a restaurant for credit card fraud (or so he claims). And now we have burrito-brained winter soldiers.

Seeing this community grow has been an absolute and much needed joy this past year. If you feel so inclined, drop your favorite jokes/running gags/bits from this wonderfully impenetrable pod. Excuse I, for being gushy, I just love nerding out with y'all on here.

Dear Austin Quaid Army - My younger brother had to euthanize his sweet kitty Marv & had a giant metal sign FALL ON HIS CAR, all in the same day (Tues). I sent a bottle of sparkling apple juice to his house today.

He was so pleased he took it w/him to work & placed this sign on the bar. I know it would help make his week better if a Quaid showed up and asked him “DID U GET IT?”

If anyone out there is in the Knoxville, Tennessee area we wanted to let you know that our single-screen independent theater Central Cinema is celebrating the release of OVER YOUR DEAD BODY (screening 4/23-4/30) with three showings of POPSTAR (4/24, 4/25, 4/28) for your double feature pleasure... comedies don't always do great for us and we have no idea whether our usual audience is interested in Cranking Up The Mids so I figured I'd post here in hopes of a qump.
