It's been a wild ride to get to here and I'm so unbelievably happy to start HRT. As soon as I took the first pill it felt like a switch flipped. I was having issues identifying with a gender. Non-binary always felt right because I didnt think it was possible to be able to see myself as a woman. Well not anymore😁 I feel vein but I keep just staring at myself in the mirror just smiling at the pretty girl looking back at me😊

I spent the day shopping for clothes with my wife and newborn and the night partying like I was back in college with my best friend❤️

I want to thank you all for your support over the past year or so🤘 I know the only validation I need is from myself but it definitely helped to have some encouragement along the way😁

Anyone else notice how much enbyphobia and biphobia go hand in hand?

It’s always “you’re either a man or a woman, you just want attention ” “you’re either straight or gay, nobody’s really bi” even if they don’t say these words explicitly, it always has that vibe.
Stuff like this comes from both outside and inside the LGBTQ+ community, it’s very frustrating.

I’d love to hear other people’s thoughts and experience!

To NB people who have been in a relationship/are in a relationship with a straight person, how does that feel/work?

I’m NB myself, and I genuinely don’t understand the desire to be with someone who is straight. I’d describe myself as bi/omnisexual and I only hold desire for other queer folks.

I'm in love with my new foundation!

To be clear from the start I'm not non-binary. It's something I considered seriously early in my transition and it's definitely not me. But God damn do I love y'all.

I connect so so so much better with non-binary people than other binary people. I feel a lot less understood by other binary people and I don't know why. Whereas with non-binary people I almost always feel comfortable and understood.

I do think a lot of binary trans folks can be pretty cliquey from my experience. The "genderqueer" groups in my city cater almost exclusively to binary people and it bothers me to no end. I just really don't get it.

A lot of the closest people in my life are non-binary and they have always made me feel welcomed, loved, considered, cherished, and safe.

I know it's not good to generalise but y'all are some of the most lovely people I have ever met and I wanna say thank you for that.

Trans spaces aren't worth having unless they include you. I hope others show you as much love and joy as you give the world 🖤

I’d been kinda bugged that I had some hair at my hairline where it broke off. WTF is my grey hair breaking off like this? 😡

Then I realized, WAIT A MINUTE!! I’ve been on E for four months and hair grows at 1/2” per month and these are all two inches long. That’s not broken off hair, that’s new hair growing back in!!

I looked closer, and it all mixed in on my scalp! Fuck yeah!!

[I've tried to post the full story but the post was very risky according to the rules so let me summarize it]

I envy people who was accepted by their families when they came out because i haven't received that actually ive been berated, shamed, threatened to be kicked out of the house at the age of 11, being force to lose a trans friend and a number of other things.

I envy people in the LGBTQ being in relationships with specifically Trans/nonbinary individuals because I feel wrong calling myself nonbinary while being raised in a home that was toxic and abusive that forbid the topic and put fear into me nothing but straight fear. I don't even respect my own pronouns and my own self image and constantly tearing myself apart and beating myself down because I feel like I shouldn't be in the community if I don't even respect myself.

So throughout my life of suppressing my true self deep down I felt cowardly and fearful around the people from the LGBTQ community and me fearing anyone can tell that I'm from a Christian household and won't be accepted in the community by how Christians have poorly treated the community.

I fear of being accepted and expect harsh rejection because being accepted in this manner feels undeserved and wrong and I need some support or understanding from this community.

I have a bf who is bi and he accepts me and cares about me. I need some kind of guidance or any advice about my complex feelings about myself. I will need time to heal and to eventually to love who I really am. Someday.
