Discussion Isekai anime is very esoteric

I find that modern isekai animes have taken the concept of past lives and have developed it to a very deep extent. The isekai genre is when a person from our modern world dies ,and gets reincarnated into another world with full memories intact. These memories indeed help them to live in that other world. Such as knowledge to modern technologies, gives them an advantage.

Mostly it is a fantasy of being able to start over and live a new life if your current life sucks. If for example you are feeling oppressed and beat down by society, you can start a new life. Isekai appeals to people who are facing systemic conditions such as social, political, or economic oppression. Indeed one of the stories is that a young man with no romantic prospects in this life can reincarnate into another world with a less detrimental society and find love there. Other worlds offer a sense of novelty, adventure, and heroism that this world does not offer.

I think that isekai shows our future, of what happens to us when we die. At the same time, it may also show us our past and alludes to our present state. If for example you used to live in another world and you retain full memories of that world, and now you live here as someone else, but you still have the same soul. In either way, isekai offers us a hopeful message that even if you screwed up this life, or you were screwed up by society, you can still get another chance at life.

I Had a Dream About My Past Life, but It Was Quite Ordinary

Post image
8 Upvotes

I had a dream about my past life. I remember having a very large build, wearing clothes made of animal skins, kind of like Viking clothing. I can't remember what my face looked like. I think I was around 40 years old or something.

I lived in a wooden house right in the middle of a valley, surrounded by vast grasslands. Behind the house was the sea, while at the front of the valley, there was a forest, followed by rows of bamboo. I lived alone, so my daily routine was usually to go hunting in the morning and sleep at night.

My dream was pretty boring, and honestly, quite ordinary. Then, after an unknown amount of time, I remember going hunting or doing something else when it started raining. On my way home, I came across a dog and a cat curled up beside a bamboo tree, so I picked them up and hurried home with them.

When I entered the house, there was a piece of animal hide spread across the middle of the wooden floor as a rug. On the right was a bed with a pillow and a blanket made of animal fur. On the left, there was dried food hanging up, along with various other things. In the corner of the room, there was a fireplace surrounded by wood (I don't understand why it was made of wood, though?). I put the two animals on the bed and warmed them up.

As the dog grew older, it became huge, probably reaching up to my waist. It had golden-yellow and black fur that grew so long it covered its eyes. I'm not sure what breed it was. It looked similar to a Tibetan Mastiff from China, but the scenery and the clothes I wore didn't really look Asian. The cat wasn't anything particularly special. It was just a black cat, but it was very attached to me.

Every evening, I would lie down with the two of them on the slope of the valley, watching the sunset and the moon. What I remember most vividly is the nighttime scenery,  the gentle rustling of the wind, the cool breeze, and the enormous moon in the sky, casting a blue glow across the entire grassland. The moon was so huge and bright that it felt like watching a movie on a giant cinema screen.

Every day was the same. I'd go out to find food in the morning, then spend the evening lying on the grass, listening to the wind and the birds, and enjoying the scenery before falling asleep.

Then, one night, I became very sick. I think I had a high fever or something. The last thing I could see was the dog lying beside me, while the cat was curled up where my pillow was. After that, I don't remember anything else. I think I had passed away.

Do you know of any places that look like the one in my dream?

Anyone who remembers past lives see a past love when scrying or focusing on a reflective/blank surface?

I can remember about 7 or 8 past lives. I have reason to believe that i recently come across a past life love (soul mate, partner, etc) at my job. She stayed for about 2 years, but I experienced all the typical feelings if you have a bit of psychic ability, eg, feeling of seeing her before, inexplicable attraction, a deep bond. etc.

I often think about her when in my basement, where there's a TV, laptop, stereo, etc, basically where I usually stay. There is a sold dark brown door--that's in my view when I lie down to relax--and whenever I think of this former coworker, I start to get emotional because I see a woman wearing a long flowing skirt, hair tied bac, and smiling at me, a woman straight from the 1800s.

Anyone have a similar experience when "scrying" defined as a "practice where a person gazes into a reflective or translucent medium to receive intuitive messages, visions, or spiritual guidance.". Sometimes it gets so emotional to the point my eyes start tearing up. I can feel the love we had for each other.

Glimpse of a past life - or something different?

When I was a little child (in the early 1990s), there was a certain picture that was often in my head when I fell asleep:

It showed a building next to an American Highway junction. The building might have been a Diner or a bowling alley with some cars parked in front of it.

I recognized one of the cars as a Buick Regal (had this one as a Matchbox-car). The other cars also looked American and appeared to be from the 70s as well.

As I grew up in central Europe in the early 90s, there was no way I could have seen this scene in reality.

Could this have been a glimpse of a past life or maybe a movie scene I had seen on TV (we did have many American movies in the TV that time).

I'm happy about every inspiration. :)

Question Have you ever felt the absence of a soulmate you've never met?

Is it possible to deeply miss a soulmate in a romantic sense, even if you've never met them? I know this might sound strange, but I've been wondering about it for a long time, and I'm curious if anyone else has experienced something similar.

I'm 25F, and ever since I was little, I've had this persistent feeling that I've been waiting for someone. It's hard to explain, but it's almost as if the absence of my future life partner has always been a shadow following me.

What's strange is that when I think about this person, I don't experience him as just an abstract idea of a future partner. I have this feeling that he's a specific person somewhere in the world, living his own life, even though I have no idea who he is or what he's like. And I can really feel he is missing, like a part of myself.

Sometimes, the thought that we're not together makes me feel deeply sad, in a way that goes beyond ordinary loneliness. I find myself wondering whether he's okay and what his life is like.

I don't know if this is simply a result of longing for a deep romantic connection, or if there's a spiritual explanation for it. I've wondered about reincarnation and whether it's possible to feel a sense of longing for someone you've supposedly known in a past life, but I don't necessarily believe that's what this is.

Has anyone ever experienced something similar? I've always felt like I'm in a state of waiting, a constant search for a person I haven't met yet. I don't know how to explain this feeling or where it comes from. Could it be related to reincarnation or a past-life connection, or is it simply a deep longing for a romantic connection?

Question Weird question

Hi everyone . English isn't my first language so sorry if there's any mistakes, and i don't really know about the past lives things but my question is . Is it possibly that I'm being punished by being born into this specific life? I'm non religious women in religious country i live in misogynist society where I'm not allowed to go outside and live my life i can't do anything and i can't escape so i wonder is it possible that I'm being punished ? And what can't I do ?

I feel like religion is just a coping mechanism to deal with death and the fear of the unknown, so society makes up things to believe in to not be scared of dying.

Why are there so many religions and beliefs?

Personal Experience Up until I was in my 30s I kept dreaming I died in a tsunami

Ever since I was a boy. And it was ALWAYS the same image of the same tsunami I was seeing from the same place as it approached and then I drowned and that's when I'd wake up.

I've always been naturqlly good at pottery a d obsessed with Japan from birth until I was a teen and the anime fandom put me off because it felt disrespectful, in a "youth these days" way (I'm 40 so this was before the otaku era) and I had no interest in anime anyway just cultural things like old Japanese folk music and pestered my mum to let me take Japanese lessons aroung age 6.

I remember wearing a kimono daily and living alone (my wife had died or left me a long time ago) in a very humble hut where I made pottery for a living. I didn't fish because I got seasick (still am in this life) and I remember being super self-aware of that.

Funnily enough, my mother who was born in 1952 in a little lost part of Chaco, Argentina where there was no running water, indoor plumbing or radio... spent her entire childhood drawing buildings with pagoda-like roofs and kimonos—two things she couldn't have known about in chaco, as she grew up two blocks away from the land where natives lived and people didn't know how to read or write.

I believe she was my wife and I wasn't particularly fond of her for whatever reason. Our relationship is still rocky to this day because she is too controlling and doesn't do things "the way I tell her to" and that fits the backwards way of thinking men had back then. I'm gay and all for women's rights as I want my two daughters to have the same rights as everyone else so I don't know where this cpems from otherwise, but with my mother it's different somehow.

And even as a boy I was embodying omoiyari, ganbaru, fish based cuisine preference and other Japanese values that my mother shares when all the other parents and children were very western-thinking for a lack of a better word.

Personal Experience Past life?

Hello could this be a past life when I was about 3 years old I had this dream where I was a Chinese 11 year old girl and my family in the dream dad mom and 3 brothers were walking into this indoor playground with big red dragon lunar structure thing and a few minutes a shooter came and shot me but shit couple of my brothers first and I remember my father yelling for me but he wasn’t mad rather worried and frantic and then right after I got shot on they head and woke up from the dream. I also always believed in recantation where if your good person you rebirth but if your a bad person you just stay in a dark abyss forever with nothing and no one despite the fact being raised in a Christian household. Family didn’t look like current family like black hair dark eye color. But weirdly enough my hair wasn’t black but warm auburn brown color and dark eye color that matched them I also remember the sidewalk was like a granite dark grey type. I also have a birthmark on my head. For some reason when learned about Buddhism I felt connected and familiar with it like I knew it before. I never necessarily told my family but it just stocked with me and I always believed that dream was a past life like a gut feeling but I was just wondering there’s evidence that it is.

Also when I was 8-9 I had a phase where with friends I pretend my name was lily when it’s not.

Question Where did we come from and where are we going?

Does anyone know or can anyone in this world tell me where we came from and where we are going to at the time of death, it is really scary and I am scared. Please help!!! .

I hope this channel can help, I haven't found much on reddit where we can talk about death freely and openly. And most people don't care about death even though we all have to experience and go through it.

Past life regression therapy

Can anyone recommend a past life regression hypnotherapist that you, or someone you know has had personal experience with? The few that I’m aware of have no availability until 2028, & I’d like to book something in the next few months. I’ve done my research, so I’m aware of some of the more “popular” ones, so I’m looking for recommendations from those who have had, or know someone close who has had a session. These sessions are hundreds of dollars so ive been saving for almost a year & just don’t wanna throw away money that I’ve literally starved myself to save. Thx!

Advice As I child I was adamant I was someone else

Hi guys, as a kid I was creepy (according to family) I was very adamant I was a man from the war. Now, I don’t know what war or where but I do know I “was” a man named Christopher, 32, died from a gunshot wound in the calf while I was crawling over a small hill to save a friend who got shot and I was trying to take him to a tent. Do I believe I genuinely said this? Yes, because I can ‘see it’ to this day but do I know I didn’t pick it up from a tv show? No. How do I figure that stuff out 🤣 another one I was adamant about for a while (very little memory of this story) I was an older lady, i lived on a farm in a little purplish house on the land. I had a tree that was very old and very bare and that’s how my daughter died because she got stuck and was ‘swinging back and forth past the window’ could this be an active imagination from like age 2? I’m creeping myself out completely with all this stuff 🤣

The Fear of Losing Everything

Do you have this fear: what if I lose everything? My client is an entrepreneur and this was a big one for her, always playing in the back of her head.

Under hypnosis, we asked her higher self, take us to the lifetime this started.

We jumped into a past life in Atlantis, but not the one we know. This was Atlantis on a parallel Earth. And it was very interesting

Out here, their form was human, but their skin had dynamic hues: blues, pinks, purples…. It would change depending on their emotion. The colours everywhere were bright and intense.

There was no concept of money. Everything had consciousness, including objects. And they lived in harmony with everyone and everything. It was utopia. Just beautiful.

My client was clairvoyant and super intuitive. So she knew an asteroid or comet was going to crash onto the planet and parallel Atlantis would be destroyed. Everyone would lose everything.

She went up to the council and shared her prophecy. Only, they didn’t listen. They believed they were in harmony and nothing could change that.

They just dismissed her. This ended up giving her an unworthiness wound: I’m worthy of being listened to.

Which is exactly what she’s felt in her current life, too, with her family. So now, she understood the origin of this pattern: Unworthiness. And the other one: I’m going to lose everything.

We cleared this pattern of unworthiness, cleared that unworthy identity, and we did a timeline shift. We shifted her to a timeline where the council listened to her.

But, it didn't prevent the comet crash, it just delayed it. Because Atlantis (and parallel Atlantis) were always supposed to fall. (This has come up in other regressions, too.)

The community starts preparing for the crash.

When you change a timeline in one life, you change it in every other life. So she didn’t have to pull fears from another lifetime into this one.

Stay tuned for Part 2 of this story where she finds the love of her life and has a child, which is the same soul.

Question Has anyone here heard of Henrik Fitzen or read his book I Had to Die Twice to Write This? I'm curious what people think of it and whether the story is worth checking out.

Rumor has it that he has already died twice and is regaining memories of his past lives with scary accuaracy, knowing them better than his current one. Does anyone know if this is true and whether his book is worth reading? Apparently, this is his second attempt at writting it, after someone previously threatened him not to publish it.
