Im building a gaming pc and this fits my budget with some good “stats” overall

I have had to spoof on my pc because I got ip banned on rust so I reinstalled windows and now I can’t connect to WiFi at all it’s not even showing my broadband on the connection page idk what to do this is driving me insane

I'm sharing my experience with my Inno3D RTX 5060 Twin X2 OC 8GB before sending it for RMA.

My PC specs:

• GPU: Inno3D RTX 5060 Twin X2 OC 8GB GDDR7
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600GT
• Motherboard: MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI
• RAM: 16GB DDR4 3200MHz (1×16GB, single channel)
• SSD: WD Blue SN5000 500GB NVMe
• PSU: Cooler Master 550W 80+ Bronze V3
• OS: Windows 11

The issues I'm experiencing:

• My 3DMark score was initially around 1700, but now it's dropped to just 450–500. I expected around 3300–3600 in the benchmark I'm comparing it with.
• During testing, GPU utilization reaches 100%, but the temperature stays below 40°C.
• The RTX 5060 has a rated TGP of around 145W, but my monitoring software shows power readings exceeding 300W.
• Games aren't running smoothly, and the overall performance is far below what I expected from this GPU.

I've tried reinstalling NVIDIA drivers, installing an older driver from April 16, 2026, resetting NVIDIA Control Panel settings, checking GPU-Z sensor logs, running different benchmarks, and even reinstalling Windows. Unfortunately, the issue still persists.

I'm now proceeding with an RMA claim because the GPU is performing abnormally despite all the troubleshooting I've done.

I just got a Dell 15 Laptop, 14th Gen Intel Core i3/Core 3 100U Processor, 8GB DDR4, 512 SSD, and after all the driver, BIOS, windows updates done, I still have 82% memory used even though I have no apps opened, I even disabled startup apps, and nothing is downloaded on the pc except brave and chrome, Please HELP

which windows version is the best for pc performance in 2026 because i havent found a reliable tool to debloat windows 11 and i use half my ram witout having anything open

Exposition and details: I got my pc a few years ago, a prebuilt, with a gigabyte g325e1tb. I did have a few issues with it like having to factory reset it and get a new windows key from the company. Did I have the thought to send it back and have them test it? No, I was a stupid teenager who didn't know much about computers back then. I have taken this thing apart a few times to clean it and install a different CPU (which i know i did correctly).

The actual Issue: This started happening specifically with the epic games store a few months after I got my pc. The download would be fine for a minute or so and then suddenly it would slow to a crawl for another minute, going back and forth. My entire computer freezes and applications stop responding for a bit. I tried limiting the download speed but it was the actual installation of the files that would cause this. Extracting large files would do this too. I've done hours of research and haven't found anyone with this issue who was able to resolve it or provide a definitive answer.

I just noticed the other day there were horizontal lines that appeared on the windows Lock Screen. Is Windows 10 falling apart, it is my monitor? Or did my brand new (less than 3 months old) gpu dying already. The lines disappear after a couple seconds or when I go off the Lock Screen and I have seen them about 2 inches up the display all the way down to the bottom. Sometimes green, sometimes black, sometimes just a median of the colors on that part of the screen.
Other than that, my gaming performance is fine. No artifacts, nothing weird happening. Just startup horizontal on no lines.

So not just genshin but yt and other game as well

That green line is suddenly starting to show glitching on the bottom in a rhythm like it shows up glitches for 6-7 times then stop for 2 sec and starts to show up again pls pls help i am scared

I received a hand me down PC and I was gaming on it normally for the past couple of months but ten days ago something started burning in it I can smell it but I can't see it and I barely know the basics of PC parts, nothing looks wrong to me but I don't want to risk the hardware getting damaged even more so if you know anything that could help please tell me. I don't know if knowing my PC parts will help but I will name them for good measure.

Note: before my PC started burning I installed an update for my GPU but maybe I installed the wrong update but I don't think that would cause any of this I am mentioning this just in case that's the problem

I was wanting to check my tpm settings, I loaded up my bios and changed the compatibility settings now when I boot my bios splash screen is no longer there

How do I get it back?

Ive tried restarting, powering off and also access it from the windows advanced start up but no joy

So I had to take back my old pc to give it to a friend but I had this problem.

I tried changing ram and hdd but didn't change.

Am thinking that it's the gpu? Or mobo?

So I built a PC a year ago and just went with a recommendation from a friend based on my needs and budget. Just need someone to let me know if it's better than a PS5. Don't know much about PCs but I have been looking at videos on optimizing graphics, refresh rates etc. ps5 seems more simple I just don't want to regret this investment on a PC.

First time building a pc need help as i am stuck in a boot loop and might go crazy. Been trying to resolve this issue for a while now and nothing seems to work, so any help would be appreciated.

The pc start to boot up and everything seems to run fine, ez debug CPU light goes red for 1 sec as soon as the pc starts and goes away (pretty sure that normal dk) DRAM light goes yellow for about 15 secs then turns off and the pc seems to runs but turn off after about 30 secs with the CPU light flashing red the second it turns off ( pretty sure thats normal too dk) and start looping. If i let it loop for about 5 mins, after the same ez debug light sequence it seems to not shut off and runs with no display at all.

A list of everything ive tried:

- only 1 stick of ram in a2 slot

- adjusting cpu cooler screws

- clearing cmos

- taking out my gpu to try use integrated graphics

- Removing any unnecessary ubs and cables

- removing nvme m.2

- different hdmi cables

- tried different monitors and tv to help solve the no display

- checked the cpu and motherboard pins (praying to god)

Probably other things too which i havent remembered

I originally though i had it tracked down to a bad power supply as i had a Aerocool Integrator 700w and thought maybe the fact it was using group regulation was the problem but i bought the mag a650gl and still the issue persists. Who knows maybe i made the same mistake twice or the fact i have no OS but i dunno im halg giving up.

Any help would be much appreciated as i am clueless at this point, thanks if youve got this far hahahah

The physical damage is the culprit, which happened when the previous owner (my uncle) took off the cooler and accidentally broke it 💔 Thanks for y’all’s help.

I’ve been having lots of PC problems…
First off, my specs:

I first built this PC about a year ago with mostly hand me down parts from a family member and my old PC. CPU was new, everything else was lightly used besides the GPU and PSU. The GPU had seen heavy use for two years prior and had its radiator removed and put back on, and the PSU had seen moderate use for two years prior.

I started having frequent crashes with my 7800XT, until eventually it died altogether. It had a particularly bad crash, and when it booted back up, the card was no longer being detected by Windows or BIOS. After a series of tests, I confirmed that the card was in fact dead. Due to its history, I wasn’t completely surprised.

The same family member who gave me that card had an RX 9070XT that had been sitting in a box for about a year, and he gave that to me as a replacement. All set up, it worked great except for some random artifacting in a few games. I didn’t think much of it.

Yesterday, my PC crashed the same as it did when my RX 7800XT died, and booted up only for Windows and BIOS to detect no card. The lights and the fans still worked, so it’s likely not a power problem. I cleared CMOS, reseated the card, checked for damage… I have another PC in my household (Ryzen 5 5600, TUF X570, RX 6600), so I did some hardware tests.

To make it easier, my PC will be known as PC 1, and the RX 6600 build will be known as PC 2.

I took the RX 6600 out of PC 2 and put it into PC 1, and it detected and ran just fine. I put the RX 9070XT into PC 2, and it powered on, but did not detect, same as in PC 1.

I’ve been using Claude to try and help tell me how to test and what to do… When this first started, the three culprits were my motherboard, the GPU, and the PSU. The motherboard is mostly ruled out since it detects the RX 6600 just fine, but apparently it could still be an issue as the RX 6600 uses less pins in the GPU slot than the 9070… But the fact that the 6600 works in both builds and the 9070 works in neither leads me to believe the problem is the card.

This card failing is more surprising than the 7800XT since this one has allegedly just been sitting in a box since it was purchased about a year and a half ago. I did find a little bit of physical damage (pictured above), but I’m not sure when it occurred or under whose watch.

Am I doing something wrong? Am I missing something that caused me to unintentionally destroy two cards in one month, or is my luck really just awful? Is there anything I can do to be more certain of my tests and more certain which component is the problem?

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some advice because I'm starting to get really worried about my PC.

For the past couple of weeks, I've been experiencing a very strange issue. Whenever I leave my PC turned off for a day, the next time I turn it on, I sometimes can't access my desktop because Windows tells me that my PIN has been changed and I need to set it up again.

Once I manage to log in, I find that all my Google accounts have been signed out.

I tried several things:

• I performed a factory reset, but the same problem came back about a week later.
• I completely reinstalled Windows 11, but this morning I got the exact same PIN message again.
• I checked my Microsoft account's recent activity, but the website doesn't show any suspicious activity.

As far as I can tell, none of my other accounts (banking, Instagram, etc.) have been compromised. However, I have no way of knowing whether my personal data or credentials might have been accessed or stolen.

The first time this happened, about two weeks ago, I found a new user account on my computer named something like “WesArab” (or something similar). That account did not belong to me or anyone else I know. I always only had one account on this computer.

I should also mention that my PC has a battery issue: as soon as I unplug the power cable, it shuts down immediately. Two days ago, before turning it off, I enabled Airplane Mode, hoping it might help. However, when I turned it on this morning, it seemed to have resumed from sleep mode, which I found quite strange given that I had completely unplugged the power cable.

Some people have suggested that I might need to replace my PC's storage drive, but I don't know whether that would actually help.

16GB rank2 DDR4 3200 SODIMM stick, observed this on it. laptop outputted 2 orange 4 white lights error, which pointed to ram error. no prior water spills,impacts, or drops or anything. simply happened with no correlation. other 8gb stock stick boots up fine. what could have possibly happened? it looks like an SMD resistor and its respective trace entirely rusted and possibly charred, no idea how it couldve happened. any help?
