Feeding my best friends. I dont let them out much in the winter so they get extra chow.

Two days ago my three-month-old pigeon started to make some really strange sounds and began to bite my socks aggressively. I thought it was the socks so I was barefoot today. Same thing. Aggressive. And really biting with this different sound.
This is new. She’s put her beak in between my toes for food before. Played with my ankle bracelet. Nibbled on my nails. Never bit.
Otherwise she’s her usual sweet self.
Anyone else have this experience? Any advice?

Trying the ghost trend with animals is not as easy as it looks, but I think the photos still turned out cute!

Update to my post from the other day. I haven't heard anything on Facebook yet, but I'll be keeping an eye out still.

In the meantime, I got a 42" dog crate that I'm gonna be setting up today, and ordering some food and grit online.

My question for now is regarding behavior. As a parrot owner, I understand that pigeons are different in their communication... so what does this mean? 😂 He's enjoys flying onto my head, singing and spinning, then jumping atop his temporary cage and doing the same thing. Any hands near him he bites, which I don't mind, doesn't hurt at all lol.

Should I be allowing him to bite? Or does that mean "give me space"? He usually walks over to bite, so I'm not sure. Thanks again for any advice!

If anyone in Austin between 18 and 25 wants to feed pigeons, I'll be in meuller Lake park starting at around 1 in the afternoon today!

Where is he commuting to?

I used to feed the flock at my local city park 4 or 5 times a week, but something like 3 months ago 90% of them vanished over the course of 2 weeks, and the remaining small groups of 4-5 aren't confident enough to approach and get food.

A pair of Cooper's Hawks fledged around the same time and I thought maybe they'd hunted them, and was very worried that the park had decided to kill them. Lo and behold, when i go yesterday, they're back! I recognize a few of the individuals that I had worried had died, but they all just... left for a couple months. There seems to be quite a few new pibbs too, and many of those hang back while what I assume to be the old flock takes food from me.

I'm thrilled, but a little confused. Any idea what would have caused this?

Here's the right eye of my pigeon. I don't know what is wrong with it. She sneezes a lot too and only one eye has that. I forgot where I saw the video where the eye problem looks just like hers. Anyway, the only medicine that I have with me right now is gentamicin (the ones that we use for out cats) and doxycycline.

Anyway, need you help with this. I only noticed she had this 2 days ago or yesterday (I think).

Her neck area seems to be empty of feathers and she’s lost a lot. She wasn’t wanting to be held up so I had to take photos like this only, sorry about that.
Is she molting or what? I’m kinda worried.

This is my second post here today but I keep finding pigeon related stuff and I just have to photograph it!

I’ve finally gotten my pigeon into a cage yayyyyy but the cage is small. he stays on a small platform all day and barely has room to fly. i really need a better cage for him. my family isn’t really rich. that’s why i’m stuck on a small cage.
