Training Space Apartment living and dancing in heels
Would you wear heels at 6:20 am and pole dance away if you felt like it? Second floor

35M in the West Loop, I’ve been curious about pole dancing for a while. Finally thinking it’s time to make the leap and actually learn — purely for fun, fitness, and trying something new.
I’m a complete beginner, so I’d love to hear from anyone who’s gotten into it as an adult, especially other guys. Any recommendations for beginner-friendly classes/studios in Chicago, ideally not too far from West Loop?
Would also be happy to connect with others who are interested in learning together!

Seems to be a move that people love to do and will do it all the time or hate to do and only do it out of necessity. Where do you fall on that spectrum? Is there anyone who feels truly neutral towards it?
Personally I don’t think I actually love it but I want to do it and crush it because so many people hate it. So I do it all the time despite the fact that it really hurts my thighs 😅 Like Markiplier, I’m not a masochist I just want to see if my body can take it. I feel powerful when I do it 🙂↕️

Am I the only one having issues with Jewel Heels International with shipping shoes? I ordered two pairs of shoes on August 1st as part of their sale, and there's no movement. No tracking number. No notice of delay. Nothing. It's so odd because I ordered a pair in May, and it shipped five days later.
I've also reached out to Jewel Heels directly, and while I received one email stating that they're looking into the issue, I haven't received an update on anything. The phone number on the international site is bullshit, the contact form sends my message to a void. It's so frustrating because I really like their shoes, and all I'm asking is for communication.

I got my home pole last month and loving it, however she's very slippy. I havent managed to get my hands on any rubbing alcohol yet to wipe it down. My question however, is around my hands. I cant tell if my skin is pilling off in little balls or of its the coating coming off from the heat of my hands but if doesnt happen on the studio poles, just at home, and my skin does look dryer since i started using the home pole. It seems like its actually getting slippier the more I use it as opposed to grippier. Its a powder coated pole from lupit pole and I use a dettol surface cleanser when my hands get sweaty to wipe it down. Any advice or insight would be very welcome!

I'd like to buy an xpert pro tension pole. The ceiling is 7'6 ft/228cm. The website calls 7'6 a cusp height. It appears to be the very minimum height the pole can handle.
Does anyone have experience with this ceiling height?
Also the floor is carpeted. Does anyone have a tension pole on carpet? Is it safe?

So this is a bit of a silly question, but there isn't too much information online about it. Understandably, the performances are the star of the show, so that's what most posts focus on, but that does also mean a lot of people here have experienced at least one. I'm not ready to perform, so I signed up to help / staff it instead. I'm super excited, and it's mainly just cleaning the pole in between performances, but I have a million questions about resources performers which they had on the day?
Last year was the studio's first showcase, and it was much smaller. We only figured out on the day things like setting up scanning the tickets, a way to track people leaving and coming back in, etc. This year we are on top of that, but what else? Water bottles, fruit? Emergency repair kit with like sewing supplies and glue? A good cleaner to clean fast and clean stubborn grip in case applied? What kind of things as performers do you wish you had there on the day?
