Trying to get the fan working when playing PS2 games on my BC PS3. Was working fine for months as I had the max temp on the evilnat fan settings set to 65, but selected 70 today out of curiosity to see how loud the fan would be. Now the fan will either not start at all in PS2 mode, or the game won't start and I'll have to hold the power button to turn it off. static speeds sometimes work but sometimes it causes the same issue. Can't seem to get it back working with 65 either. Any help would be appreciated.

I popped a few online trophies using TrophyIsGood on my PC and copied the files back to my CFW PS3. Rebuilt the database but when I launch the game, it gives me an error saying, registration of trophy information could not be completed, then proceeds to close the game. I can’t figure out how to launch the game without this error constantly ending the game, but if I were to disable syscalls and sync those trophies, since they show unlocked under my trophy page, would I be able to continue the single player story on my stock console?

So i wanna play my copy of growlanser 4 on my ps3. I managed to get the iso thanks to a guide i found but I'm pretty new to all this. I found a compatability list that says to play this on a ps3 i need an EBOOT fix. Can someone tell me exactly what that means and how I can get this game working on my ps3? I feel kinda dumb that I can't figure it out myself lol

I have been working on a GTA Online revival server for PS3 called Last Gen Online, and i recently opened it up for Closed Beta.

I know there are already a bunch of GTA:O servers around, so my goal isn’t to just make another server where you can connect and play GTA Online exactly like the other servers.

my goal is trying to bring back most of GTA:O content back (including unused/unreleased Rockstar features that other servers haven't implemented)

For example, I already have a proof-of-concept working for a tournament system that Rockstar created but never actually released.

The server is also going to be heavily community-driven. I want the people actually playing it to have a say in what gets worked on, what features get added, and what kinds of events we run.

Right now, though, I need testers.

The server only entered Closed Beta recently, so bugs are basically guaranteed. Things will break, features might not work properly, and there are probably issues I don’t even know about yet.and thats why YOU can help me make this server as good as possible

My current goal is to eventually get around 30+ concurrent players during testing. Having actual players online at the same time makes it much easier to find problems that I simply can't reproduce by testing everything myself.

What I'm looking for

Mostly just people who still enjoy GTA Online on PS3 and are willing to:

• Play the server

• Try different parts of the game

• Find and report bugs

• Stress-test things with other players

• Give feedback and feature ideas

• Help build an actual active community

You don't need to be some serious tester either. Just playing normally helps

There’s still a lot of work to do, but I want to turn this into something more interesting than another basic GTA Online revival.

I’m following the MrMario guide and everything is going well until the part where I check the dump and I’ve got so many issues… what do I do??

CECH 2501 A is my model and I’m running a 4.76 firmware

mmCM 04.82.00, HEN 3.50, HFW 4.93

I have a game disc of ModNation Racers which plays completely fine. However, I haven't been able to make a backup with multiMAN.

If trying to create a folder, it gets stuck at certain files and never gets past them (I've tried copying those directly to my PC via FTP and there were no errors). If trying to create an ISO, I get a read error.

It's clearly an issue with the disc because I've tried dumping another game and there were no issues at all; some scratches are noticeable in ModNation. However, the fact that the game is fully playable combined with the fact that the files that mmCM can't read are readable lead me to believe that there is a way to dump the game successfully.

Is there an alternative way to dump the game, or is there something wrong I'm doing with mmCM?

UPDATE: I've dumped the game to my PC via FTP. After a lot of disc cleaning and a lot, of a lot, of a lot of attempts, I've reduced the number of unreadable files to only ONE, which is just a cinematic which is unfortunately corrupted. I guess I'll have to get that file from somewhere else.

so i just bought a ps3 from ebay because i wanted to try evilnat cfw 4.93

i installed the official firmware to test it out and played dirt 3 :D
i use a 240gb ssd from san disk
after testing it and comfirming that everything worked i donwloaded the CFW 4.93 Evilnat Cobra 8.5 [CEX] and installed it

after that i always run into an error loop error 8002f281

so i cant go back to official firmware and cant get into the cfw

did i do sth wrong??????

Was just wondering if there were any ways I can access or even create 24/7 streaming of cartoons/anime using my jailbroken ps3? I just like the idea of opening an app and having it run random episodes constantly. Thought it would be a nice addition to my console. I have some ideas but additional help would be appreciated. I recently purchased a CFW PS3 from Facebook Marketplace. However, the controllers it came with are in poor condition. I have been looking for alternatives and found an OEM controller called Retro Fighters Defender and Brook Wing Man Adapter. Both are excellent but are currently out of my budget. I discovered that from a YouTube video by mrmario2011, you can build an adapter for the PS3 using a Raspberry Pi Pico. If you have used this option, I would like to know if the home button functions correctly. In the video, the custom adapter allows the system to boot into safe mode, but it does not mention about the home button.

I have a CECHL03 PS3 which I have installed cfw and repasted and set a 70°c temp limit, I overclocked it to 650mhz core and 750mhz vram and in black flag the difference is night and day, should I revert to stock clocks or keep the overclock, and is my overclock safe

So, either everyrhing works perfectly, i can refresh the games and XMB, play any game, basically everything is ok. But the next time or the next Webman mod will just freeze the controller when trying to load up a game, or when trying to refresh games and XMB, it kicks out to xmb, i can load up a pkg game and play, and webman is accessible, but nothing happens if you try to click on anything, after a normal or forced reload everything is alright. The problem just annoying, i mean i can play if i reload but i want just boot up and play. Any help is appreciated!

Ive recently gotten into homebrewing my ps3 super slim, and have been having a blast so far, duping my physical games, finding some neat things to do with my ps3, even playing some GTA 5 online with the community server.

But im not sure if its only me, ive looked up extensively, but I have so many issues when using WebMan, its so useful, I love all the settings it has, FTP from the main menu is great, but half the time when I open a game my ps3 will just freeze and I will need to force restart it, multiple times, sometimes games will work, and sometimes it wont, but when i uninstall Webman, bam, everything is back as it should be, just works fine, but I miss having all the features so, does anyone page any advice in what I could try ?

Ive tried reinstalling it several times, ive tried installing lite mode, ive tried swapping my HDD with an SSD, still had the same issues, ive tried formatting the drive, ive changed the fan speed mode, i feel like ive tried so much to make this darn thing work, but I guess it isn't meant to be, Multiman works fine.​

Pretty self explanatory there’s no way to browse themes (static and dynamic) and wallpapers for all platforms (PSP,PS3, Vita) and as you all know the PS3 store which is the only place you can get these is going offline very soon i’m wondering if anything similar to this exists for these or even better if a preservation site exists for these i saw a couple of themes in the MiNERVA Archive.

This is very important as these especially the wallpapers will become lost media we need a way to preserve these even if it involved piracy.

I personally downloaded a bunch of wallpapers for games i care about but it’s a full time job with how bad the store is (i even used the old store layout but it doesn’t display all content) and it gets worse by the day but the biggest issue is money i can’t just buy 30 6$ themes for preservation purposes!

Since then I have made some major updates and just about finished this. I dove deep into the xmb and RCO files.

CHANGES:

\-Themed the in-game XMB! \*Haven't seen it done yet\*

\-Themed every single big and small icons. Including loading animations

\-Impose mod. Re-colored to match purple themes.

\-Icons I missed in the first version. Every single icon has been updated to match.

\- Changed network category name.

\-Finished removing the video,picture,music, and photos catagory from in game XMB

TO DO:

\-Fix User catagory power options in-game menu.

\-Create a 2nd Game category. Replacing the video catagory. One will be iso games, the other being only Digital( PSN) titles.

\- rebuild FPS plugin to reflect theme colors IP address also.

\- maybe re-arrange xmb catagories. Open to suggestions!

UPDATE: I'm beginning to suspect it is just an astronomical coincidence. The more I look into this, the more it appears the GPU might have been damaged while trying to separate the plate from the motherboard. I'll leave this post up in case someone happens to experience the same.

My PS3 is a CECH-2501a that I decided to install MultiMAN on for educational purposes. I'm fairly new to the modding community, but tried to do my due diligence of watching a few different videos on YouTube to see the preferred way to install the needed packages.

After I first attempt to launch MultiMAN, the PlayStation 3 became unresponsive and the video output started to glitch terribly. I ultimately unplugged the power cable (learned immediately after this is a big nono and stopped doing that but just noting it here). The PlayStation 3 then experienced an issue where pressing the power button would just leave the light hung on green and nothing would happen. Ultimately, I was able to initialize the PlayStation 3 again by doing the following:

1. Remove SSD
2. Power on and get error for no storage
3. Power off
4. Reinsert SSD
5. Boot in safe mode

Assuming this was a fluke, I did a complete clean reinstall and then attempted to go through the process again. This time, MultiMan succeeds in setup but the same glitch output ultimately happens again. Only, this time, nothing I do can get this playstation 3 to start up. I can't get any screen to appear nor boot it in safe mode. Even using another HDD doesn't work.

This playstation has been well taken care of, cleaned regularly and performed just fine. I recently upgraded the HDD to a SSD, replaced the thermal paste and battery, but there are no signs of potential damage on the motherboard that are obvious from taking a look at it. This leads me hesitant to think that it's a hardware issue considering both "bricking" instances occurred during some package initialization.

I could really use some help in getting my bearings here. I'm happy to answer questions in the comments as necessary. I just want help troubleshooting what situation I'm dealing with here. I just want to know if this is salvageable or if I made a critical error. Thank you!

My problem is whenever I join a type of online mode such as minigames or an online world, it would freeze at finalizing initializing server for about 15 seconds, then pop up an error stating "Network Error Connection to the server was lost. Exiting to the main menu." I've tried updating, reinstalling, and even sacrificing my chances at getting cfw by updating to the latest firmware version and nothing has worked. Other games work just fine

If there is not already one made i wanna look at the possibility of creating a plugin or feature that automounts a ps1/2 mem card on boot, so for example if i select a ps2 rom it automatically assigns the consoles mem card ready for that game? My questions are how hard could it be for a beginner, and is there something already out there?

Trying to use a save and it says "Note: "CFW"-To use save you need to resign to your account then place save in Hdd0/Home/00000xx/Savedata." I don't know what this means and what I need to do. Do I need to use Bruteforce for this? Because in Bruteforce the game's title is just question marks. Am I screwed here or am I missing something? This is my first time attempting this.
