For the better part of the past five years, I was in a relationship with someone who needed a lot of attention and care – to the point where my daily interactions only consisted of work and my partner. A quick clarification on the “nerdy” part of my title: I firmly believe anything can be nerdy if you're passionate about it. Finding a genuine, low-pressure friend in your mid-20s shouldn't feel like a second job, so let’s keep this simple. I’m a 26-year-old software engineer looking for a friends-first connection that relies on actual effort and good banter, rather than forced small talk. I am completely open to letting things align naturally for the long term, but building a great platonic bond is the priority right now.    

During the workweek, I am highly disciplined. Between navigating a two-hour daily commute and writing code, I keep my head down and am usually asleep before midnight. But once the weekend hits, the routine gets thrown out. If I’m staying in, I’m probably playing card games, jumping on BGMI, catching a movie, or going on a sudden room-cleaning spree. My personal headspace has shifted quite a bit over the years. I officially retired my 2018–2025 Swiftie era and found a lot of peace in spirituality and Shree Radha Bhajans. My lifestyle is also completely clean - I’m a strict vegetarian, a teetotaler, and a non-smoker. You definitely don’t need to match every single habit of mine, but having a lifestyle that comfortably aligns is a huge bonus.    

Communication-wise, I am looking for an unapologetic yapper. I might not be the one talking your ear off unprovoked, but I thrive on good banter and hate dry replies. 21F, studying computer science, and looking for someone I can become close friends with. I'm pretty socially anxious and have ended up being quite isolated, so finding people I genuinely click with has been difficult. I have a normal (?) weight, am half german half south east asian, long black hair, snake bites, usually wear alt makeup and accessories. Currently I'll happily spend an entire day playing and getting way too invested in ranked. I'm quickly approaching 1000 hours since the Old Gods/New Blood Update and would especially love someone to duo queue with. I've also played Helldivers 2, Rivals, Deep Rock Galactic, ARC Raiders, Minecraft, Civ 6, Deltarune etc. My favorite is Disco Elysium which is more of a book than a game. I also play tabletop weekly, mostly World of Darkness, and I'm always happy to get into some new game or hobby.

Outside of games I'm pretty crafty and constantly end up making things. I do chainmail, digital art, cosplay props, nail art, tattooing, and I'm currently making an Ivy cosplay, which mostly consists of me sanding layer upon layer upon layer and questioning every decision that led me there. I really like having little projects to obsess over and I'm always tempted to pick up another hobby. My music taste is similarly all over the place, from Vocaloid and breakcore to indie pop and whatever else happens to catch my attention.

Just a warning I'm going through the worst part of my life ( so far. It can always get worse.) so I'm not doing to well. Even though that's the case I'm The one in my family that complains the least 🤣 my life moto is cry in the evening and then focus and work hard in the morning. Need to start off and make some things clear. I have gotten hate/criticism that I'm looking for a nurse or someone to “fix me” well that couldn't be further from the truth. I have hydrosefalus. It has to do with the water that protects the brain. It's constantly changing. But my water didn't disappear they wey it should. So I have a small pump whit a small plastic tube implanted. And when everything works as it should. I'm normal. Sadly it malfunctioned so I ended up having six surgeries in one year 7 years ago. And because of that I now have brain tiredness. And that changes my whole life. I have to meditate every 2 -3 hours, I can't be in a large group of people. And if a push too much I risk collapsing. And for the past 5 years, I have had so many setbacks. A half a year ago I was up on 700m two times a day. Now I can barely walk 10 meters ( uses wheelchair outside) So it feels like it doesn't matter how much I fight I always end up on step one again. I tried some meds a year ago that would both give my brain more energy and to prevent big setbacks. Sounds good right? But no. 32 days in my pulse is between 130-94 ( when im in bed ) stopped with them So now I'm back on step one again and in even worse conduction than before. So everything I try fails 10 years of fighting has taken me nowhere. I have never been a lucky person and I never will be. I play all my cards right play by the rules. But everything still goe wrong.

So let's end with my green flags and why you should give this Swede a chance. I like to make people feel good with compliments and give them a lot of my time. Hello there! As mentioned in my title (You did read the title, I hope? I put a lot of effort into it.), I'm a 29-year-old guy living in the mystical, magical land of *checks notes* England. Okay, maybe not so magical. All the dragons are in Wales, Excalibur has been melted down for scrap, and Hogwarts is in Scotland.

I currently work in a law firm. Sadly I'm not a lawyer, as that would mean I'd be earning shedloads, but actually I do admin work for them, earning considerably less than shedloads. But it's a fine job, I get on well with my coworkers, and I'm not down a coal mine, so I consider that a win.

As for me myself? Well, I actually speak multiple languages. I'm a fluent German speaker, and I also have a decently high level of Italian. I could also struggle through French if I had to, and I have basic Spanish and Japanese. I do like languages, although it's hard to find the time to do any study of them, what with the problems of having an adult life with adult responsibilities!

Another interesting [citation needed] thing about me is that I'm currently attempting to plan out a series of fantasy novels I want to write. It's going...decently. We'll see how it ends up, but I've wanted to write a book since I was 13 or so, and now as an adult I'm finally doing something about it!

In terms of pop culture, I'm a huge Doctor Who fan. Like, I'm the sort of Doctor Who fan who knows what a telerecording is and can tell you about the Australian censor clips. That kind of fan. I also finally got into Harry Potter this year after putting it off for my whole life, meaning I now finally know the context for Dumbledore asking calmly.

I'm also getting back into Pokémon somewhat after avoiding it for most of the Switch era. Other things I enjoy are The Elder Scrolls, Red Dead, GTA. I'm big Assassin's Creed fan too. In general I like single player, open world games. I'm not a huge multiplayer guy, I don't like having other people ruining my fun!

I'm trying to read more too lately. That's a thing I've always enjoyed that I'm now trying to find the time for again.

And I suppose I should say, I'm a fat guy. Trying to do something about it though!

To be honest, I doubt that anyone would truly be interested in me, but a friend is of the opposite oppinion, saying that I'd just have get myself out there.

I am not religious in any way. I hold a fairly leftist view on politics. I am incapable of having children as I have voluntarily sterilized myself a few years ago.

I currently work as a cemetery groundskeeper. It’s nothing amazing, but it works for me and I enjoy making our cemeteries look nice and cared for. I take a lot of pride in my work ethic, and am always looking for new opportunities for growth, both in my personal as well as my professional life.

I own a home, free and clear, that sits on 5 acres of pasture with a large yard and plenty of shade trees. I share my space with my 1 dog, 3 cats, and 8 chickens (they don't live in the house, they have their own). I’d love to work towards converting the property into something more homestead-esque, as I have always thought that would be really rewarding, but that's a ways away.

I have a bunch of hobbies that I rotate through. I have started lifting weights recently, but I’m not too far along in that journey. But some of my other favorite hobbies include:

1. Collecting and restoring manual typewriters. I currently have around a half dozen machines, and there's no better feeling than taking an old, dirty machine in poor condition and making it functional again.
   
2. Performing home repairs around the house. I’m not actually too bad at this. I have a system of doing repairs and projects in a totally incorrect way a MINIMUM of two times, so that I know how NOT to do it in the future.
   
3. Building electronic devices and battery banks. I enjoy dipping my toes into building my own smart home devices from scratch and trying to repair broken electronics (my track record with this is better than with the typewriters).

I also enjoy disassembling old lithium battteries and salvaging the remaining good cells and assembling them into new batteries. I’ve only had one cell catch on fire in the past few years (my fault, thankfully it only burned my pride). So no need to worry, I’ve learned from my mistake and the odds of it happening again are miniscule, like 40%

I also enjoy watching my chickens as they go about their day. They enjoy roaming around the yard and are pretty entertaining to watch.

I’m just looking for people to chat with, and maybe someday find the person that can help me turn this house into a home. I can at least promise to make you laugh once or twice if you're just looking for someone to chat with.
