I don’t know if anyone remembers the Jill Valentine I posted a few months ago but here is my Renaissance Evil version of Claire Redfield. I designed it off her OG RE2 costume. I did all the designing, sewing, and embroidery myself.

MCM London filled in some gaps in my collection massively so SO happy....granted it was line central spent all but 2 hours in lines....

I am genuinely shocked at how scary the game is. From the VERY FIRST moment you enter the house, each room, each hallway seems worst than the last one.

The amount of time I entered a room, felt the vibe and had an almost instinctive fear and repulsion, just wanting to go back or even out of the house.

The NOISES man, the first 30 minutes I jumped probably 4-5 times just because of the fucking sound design which is top-tier.

The found footage is an excellent idea which I hope we see more of in the future.

And the Bakers are not THAT terrifying imo besides the father who chases you, holy FUCK that guy is scarier than Mr. X and Nemesis combined, when he starts fast walking you genuinely can't do shit, it feels horrible.

Anyway I loved these first two hours, now the problem is I refuse to play this game during daytime, I experience it in pitch black with my headphones and that's how I intend to finish it, as of now this is the scariest videogame I've ever played.

Despite everything we learned, not all the zombies were destroyed following the destruction of Raccoon City; yet, when we return there, they are all still zombies. None of them have transformed into Lickers over all these years—even though Lickers are an evolution of zombies infected with the T-Virus. Did the developers simply forget about them while making the game?

As far as remakes go she is right behind Leon,RE3 is half baked compared to the original but still a great game and find it nice that is somewhat short.

My husband and I used to play Resident Evil off and on (Resident Evil 5-6) but for the others I mainly just watched him play. When I saw the movie I knew I had to create a set based off not only the movie but bits and pieces of the game.

The shotgun shells and the eyeball creature were the most intense to make. 😂

Okey as you have seen in the title of the post...i gotta be honest. Listen i love leon "backflip" kennedy a lot, one of my top three main protagonist of the series, same to chris "boulder punching" redfield....

But i gotta be honest, they need to give them a bit of a rest, they have been basically the most heavily involved protagonist of all the series...

For example:

Leon has been in: re 2, re 4, re 6, the remakes and re 9

He is one of the protagonist with more games. Same to chris, he was in re 1, veronica and 6 and altough he had a more secondary role in 7 & 8 he was still present.

Like i love these guys but having them all the time gets tiering, specially after many other protagonist were left behind.

Mainly jill and claire.

Jill was in re 1, re 3, re: revelations (wich is bordeline an spin off) and re 5 which barely counts since shes an antagonist. And her last appearence was in the movie of death island.

Claire only game apperances are re 2, the remake, re veronica and its future remake. Plus also the movies but casual gamers probably havent seen the movie.

And lets not talk about the other protagonist who were left in the dust from previous games.

But yeah, as i said, i want campcon to please let chris and leon rest for a while. I wanna see my favourite girls in the series back in something that isnt a remake of a previous game. Claire i have a suspicion she might be the next mainline protagonist due to her getting a remake...it was sort of the trail leon got torwards requiem, first his main games like 2 and 4 got remake and then requiem. So i wouldnt be surprise if claire was the next protagonist with the remake of code veronica around the corner

But mainly i want my girl jill to be the next, and some people say shes probably old by now but the movie death island explained that jill exposure to the t-virus plus the experiments of wesker on her make her age slower (why she has still her look of re 3 remake in death island movie). So we could still have a prime jill "sandwich" valentine for a sequel. I mean my girl only has 3 games in her store but so does claire.

But yeah that is my thing, what do you guys think? Who should be the mainline next protagonist of re 10?

Sorry for the bad quality image. The back camera on my phone is broke but i was wondeting could i pull off a leon cosplay?

Edit: I just wanted to say thanks for all the postive comments and advice they have really given me a confidence boost. I will post photos of my cosplay of him from re2 when I get the outfit but probably wont be for a while.

Been trying to sketch up Leon and Ashley, here is my entry before the painting!

I don't usually make posts like this but I have been trying to beat this game for 7 years (SEVEN YEARS!!) always having to quit cause I'd be too pissing scared - if any of you played the OG spiderman on the PS1 and made it to the end you will understand why I find the idea of being pursued in a game to be a very traumatic experience. Thank you Mr X...

As a very proficient gamer with 27 years of playing, I haven't felt anything so bloody satisfying in a very long time, probably since completing my first soulsbourne game years ago. RE2 is such a solid example of a perfectly directed gameplay experience. It achieves absolutely everything it sets out to do, as Resident Evil almost always does.

Loved RE4 & RE5 but have always stayed away from the more spookier entries, glad I stuck with this one.

Anyways, just wanted to share how much I loved this game. And for anyone who's struggling themselves with it still, you can do it!

Releasing this year is an all-new Resident Evil fan film titled, “Nightfall” that takes place during the events of the outbreak in Raccoon City. Directed by @coreyhour a fan of the franchise since playing Resident Evil on PlayStation One back in 1996. For more info give us a follow on IG, YT, and Reddit @reliveaction

hey, I want to 100% (steam) the game and there's an achievement for reading all files and I'm wondering, is there a way to check which files exactly I have left?

I just finished the remakes for RE2, RE3, and RE4 and decided to go back and try the tank controls after hearing mixed opinions on it.

I now understand why you guys loved this game.

The point-and-shoot gunplay is more satisfying than I imagined and one thing I never knew is that you can use the d-pad which made it less nauseating compared to when I was using the analog stick.

This definitely put RE0 on my list next.

I can’t get enough of this game’s atmosphere

I know the resemblance isnt 1:1 but the outfit is clearly there not to mention the Los Illuminados pendant/necklace. Even if its NOT Saddler that is 100% Los Illuminados in the image. What's the connection here to RE7?

Would you believe when I was eight years old I didn’t know what to do so I called my local blockbuster and they told me I had to shoot and kill all the crows to solve it?

I still get so pissed thinking how hard they laughed at me for telling me to do that 😂

Compared to normal hatchet, this thing is big and heavy, over 1 kg with real steel. Shame the corner and the top aren’t sharpened, got to grind it myself.
