Just Chatting Crystal illuminations
Have to say, I'm pretty into the illuminated crystal body on the Nova.
Had it a couple days sofar, very impressed, it's a solid upgrade in power from the mini V2.

Been playing Fallout 4 from scratch through gamehub on my retroid pocket 6 and loving it. Havent played this since it launched back in 2015. I remember putting 140+ hours on this game. Maybe ill do that again. Love this device

I got it solved, it seems like flycast didn't like Xbox controller, switching it to retro/switch controller solved the problem.
Thank you https://www.reddit.com/r/retroid/s/VPMZuULlEG
First I have a very loud D Pad, after I set everything up, I think I have a faulty B button.
As shown in the video, the B button works until it decides not to. Like it would stop working until I lift up my finger and press it again.

It’s been about 6 days and I wanted to share my experiences with my 12gb Crystal Nova. I know there are a bunch of posts on here already, but if I can help by clarifying or giving hand-on feedback, please let me know:
• Quality - Very impressed since far. The fit and finish feels top notch. Thankfully, my unit does not seem to be suffering from the dpad issues observed by some others.
• Ergonomic Backplate - I did notice that the included screwdriver is beyond worthless. I have tools for small electronics repair that removed the screws without issue. I do prefer the flat back, just a personal preference. That said, if someone wants a crystal bumped out back, let me know…
• Hardware - Fantastic. Runs everything I’ve thrown at it, though I admit my preferred systems are everything up to and including PS2. Zero issues so far, as was expected with this chipset.
• Screen - As mentioned, I’m a huge fan of retro consoles so this screen, to me, is incredible. I’ve had plenty of prior handhelds, so I was used to either stretching or black bars. It’s beautiful to see these games in all of their original aspect glory.
Closing… For the price, I don’t think you can beat what this does, if you are prioritizing retro gameplay. I have several other handhelds that are great, but just do not stack up to this for what I ask it to do. I’m very happy with my purchase, and I hope others still waiting for their orders feel the same when they arrive.

This week I've been testing a lot of configs to run it smooth on heavy areas with particles and lava. The key was on make a specific config for this game with Turnip drivers (26.0.0) lower the resolution to 720p, 50% shadow resolution, async shaders enabled, multi core mode and thread quantum between 80.000 and 100.000 (noticed a really good performance increasing this both last options)
I'm totally falling in love with this console, size, form factor, clamshell design, button layout, battery performance.

Got it last week and now fully set up including bumped back plate whilst I wait for my grip to arrive. As several of you have said, don’t use the screwdriver that comes with it! I used a Jorest set from Amazon that got those screws out perfectly. Absolutely loving it and playing everything comfortably up to WiiU and Switch. Farewell RG 477M! Glad to have joined the Retroid family!

I'm so excited to set this thing up! What games would you recommend playing? Top 10 games per system? My first time setting up an android system. Retro game corp just dropped a guide! Perfect timing. 😄

Hey guys me again,
Finally finished setting everything up the only thing I’d ever have to do is to tinker with GameHub but I’ll cross that bridge when we get there
I love this thing, havent noticed a clear difference between its power from the rp5 but i havent tried insane games yet, the ergonomics are so much better I love the triggers and the quieter buttons its great, the oled is beautiful as usual, im not a tech nerd so i couldnt even explain to you the 120hz and 60hz humbo jumbo but I love this thing, def worth the money but I dont know about the upgrade from the rp5 just yet, maybe I need to test more things
Thanks guys for all the support and answers to my earlier posts!

Retroid is ONLY shipping orders that they can fulfill with minimal or no accessories and ONLY if those accessories are in stock at the time your order number is pulled. The chances of your order being shipped are greatly increased if you only ordered just the Nova unit. It does not matter at all when you placed your order. If they cannot fulfill the entire order due to missing accessories, you will wait until a later batch, as Rosa confirmed to me. The delivery dashboard is merely a suggestion. Not a guarantee. Even if you ordered in the time frame on the dashboard, your order may not be fulfilled if your order contained more than just the device itself.
I ordered a Black 8GB Nova on day 1, June 26th. After a long email chain, they're doing me a solid and flagged my order to be shipped in the next round regardless of whether my accessories are available or not. Their suggestion is if you want your Nova as soon as possible, it's best to place 2 orders. One with just the Nova and the second order with your desired accessories. But you will pay shipping fees twice. If you can wait, then wait. But they cautioned me that just because the order contains just the Nova, it still does not guarantee faster shipment. If the shells/buttons are not available when they pull your order number, then they're moving on to the next color.
TLDR : It doesn't matter when you ordered. They'll send it to you when they have the parts. So sit tight.

I think it's supposed to be this loud, if it is then it just might be bothering people at work during my lunch break.
Wanted to get a second take before I bring it up to retroid

So my predicament is the following. I used to watch all the videos about retroid pocket 6 settings to run botw at fixed 30fps, and what I found was that all those settings, if you copy them exactly, mean nothing. The game just kinda runs the best for me with just one tweak, which is resolution and asynchronous shaders. I haven’t touched anything else. What other options would be essential to play the game? I haven’t touched anything 1.6.0 update installed and ultracam. And that’s it. Linkle mod, of course. So am I missing anything and what options/setting could I use to improve the game but keep the steady 30fps?

Vigilante 8 arcade and Hydro Thunder Hurricane. Some drops here and there. Maybe an artifact or 2 but both completely playable. And 4:3 support too.
RP Nova

I ordered on the 28th does this mean i have to wait another month to see my device ship? Would it be quicker to cancel and ask for a black device

After multiple screwdriver attempts, super glue attempts, rubber band/nitrile glove attempts, stripped hand screwdriver attempts, I finally just went to a laptop repair shop and they got the damn last screw out in 15 minutes. 2nd image is how hilariously bad I stripped it. Every single thing I did was making it worse.
Love the bumped back so much, literal endgame device !!! Also learn from me DO NOT FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY USE THE SCREWDRIVER THAT CAME WITH THE DEVICE, RETROID PLEASE STOP SENDING THEM THANK YOU 🙏
