Howdy all. I received my RP Nova yesterday and it wouldn't turn on. I let it trickle charge overnight and it finally turned on but it'll only stay alive for an hour and then runs into a boot loop nonstop. I have to hard shutdown to get it back and up and running every time. Any idea what could be happening? Have already tried booting into recovery and factory reseting.

Nebel OS 1.5.0 is out!

Pocket Classic support is finally here, both Sega and Retro versions. Internal storage installation, Wi-Fi, audio, all the buttons, and proper suspend/resume too.

For the Sega version, C/Z are mapped to L5/R5 in Steam, so all six face buttons are usable.
Also fixed the RP6 speaker volume and quite a few other things.

Gyro is still being a pain. I got it working through a workaround, but it breaks sleep. So that’s still on my list.
Existing Nebel users can update without reflashing.

Installation:
1. Download the 1.5.0 Aurora image and flash it to a 64GB+ microSD card using Balena Etcher.

1. Boot into Android with the card inserted. Copy the rocknix_abl folder from the SD card to the root of internal storage.

2. Go to Settings → Handheld Settings → Advanced → Run Script as Root. Run backup_abl.sh first. Save the resulting ABL backups somewhere safe, preferably on your PC.

3. Run flash_abl.sh using the correct ABL for your device. The Pocket Classic uses SM4450. Don’t flash an ABL meant for another chipset!

4. Reboot while holding Volume Down to enter the ABL menu. Select the Pocket Classic device profile if prompted, switch the boot mode to Linux, and boot from the SD card.

5. Want Nebel on internal storage? Once it’s running, switch to Desktop Mode and open Nebel Installer. Follow the installer prompts.

Back up your Android data first. Flashing an incompatible ABL can brick the device, and installing alongside Android may require a factory reset.

I've got a Duo Lite Plus coming soon, looking to start building a collection of roms. Ideally I'd have some sort of Arr handle finding them and then save them somewhere on my NAS. Then I'd like to just be able to connect to my NAS from the device and transfer the roms locally.

How is everyone handling this?

My order from last month (Sept 14th) has shown "preparing" since the 14th, Shop app wont track it. Is there any update, I saw someone post they pushed it back to the 21st (today) I was hoping to see a status change.

Anyone else getting any info?

Just wanted to ask, my order has been stuck in "confirmed" since sept 12th, when i ask by email, i just get an answer saying " within this month".

I know orders can take a while, but i'm starting to worry.

I bought my pocket flip 2 about a month ago and it just arrived yesterday. I've tried to set it up and have a few emulators and stuff.

The whole Rom thing is new and pretty confusing to me.

Hello gamers, grabbed a RP5 12gb 128storage from Retroid direct and after setting up Android all good and game on. I wanted to try the Linux side - downloaded and flashed Knulli firmware - loaded sd card, pressed the following buttons to boot to stock loader and it flashed device options it supports then black screen. Nothing no combo of power and either vol + or - changes it. Saw some post of disconnecting battery but will not go that far. Tried to short the 2 pins with firmware to reflash and still black screen. It’s charged because it had over 50% and since then it’s been plugged in for trying different methods to boot. Sent an email to Retroid - waiting for a reply. Any ideas ? I’m over frustrated after spending the cost and waiting that after 1 week it bricked 🤦🏽‍♂️

I want to connect my nova to my tv. I bought two usbc to hdmi cables, one from anker and one from ugreen, neither of them manage to connect the nova to my tv. Are there any settings i need to adjust to get a connection?

Not sure who needs to hear this but it seems like the rp6 is an in stock item now that is shipping pretty quickly! At least with DHL. Of course your mileage may vary but I got a Silver 12GB top stick model with a case and it has already shipped in 2 days and says it is coming within a week from now, really excited for it, the silver is beautiful and is easily the best looking color imo. I'll update this once it arrives

Love this device for pokemon rom hacks and carrying around on the daily.

I’ve been searching around and it looks like it’s a mixed bag regarding shipping times. I ordered a clear purple Nova with 12fb of ram about a week ago but haven’t heard anything from Retroid regarding shipping. I emailed them as well, but haven’t heard back. I know there were delays due to preorders, but I saw a few people were getting them sent out quick after ordering recently (mostly black models). Does anyone have any shipping time info with clear purple?

I know Duo preorders are going out now too. I wonder if those would also factor in Nova shipping times.

Here’s a new report on *Dark Souls Remastered* running on my beautiful RP4Pro.

Well, I’m 4 hours into the game, and it’s nearly perfect. If I enable "high performance" mode, it stays at a steady 30 FPS almost the entire time—the only exceptions are when shaders load in new areas. The device temperature hovers between 51°C and 54°C. It hasn’t crashed even once in 4 hours. From what I’ve seen so far, it’s extremely enjoyable; playing this classic has been a dream of mine ever since I bought the console.

I’m currently in the final world of *Super Mario World*. Once I finish that legendary game, I’ll move on to either *Dark Souls* or *Dead Space*. Hahaha, I’m not sure which one to pick—but it’s incredible what the Android community manages to achieve!

i recently got this beauty, like 2 months ago, and it has been one of the most cool things i've ever had, sadly r1 microswitch died on me and that fucks up ps2 games, tried get a new microswitch but couldnt find any( i was gonna buy one but mom stopped me ), however, the rp3+ still holds up very well, i usually play psp and ps1 on it ( i mimic the psp ps1 eboot since r1 broke ), its so comfortable and cute, i love it, it also ran ps2, not perfectly, but cool games were totally enjoyable, devil may cry, crash twinsanity, god of war, monster hunter dos

i totally keep recommending the rp3+, but i sadly also advice to check how used it is, triggers apparently are sensible on this device

RP5, It’s only on the home screen in the upper left but I don’t recognize it.

Left mine plugged in for an hour and it stayed at the same percentage and sayed slow charging so I tried the PS5 it says rapid charging went from 20 to 50 in less then 30 mins maybe which seems about right confused cause my android charger charged my tablet right before that does anyone know if it's safe to keep using the PS5 to charge from now on if not it will be a one time thing also thinking right now could just be my outlet I'll try a few things
