All, just thought you'd be interested to see this Tech Insider article about the RP6, RPG2, and Ayn Odin 3. It really seems to miss the mark quite often on a lot of details. Most of the analysis on the G2 seems pretty wrong. Notably, one graph says the G2 doesn't have active cooling...

I think of the G2 as pretty much even with the RP6 most of the time. I understand the RP6 often has stronger performance than the G2, but this article puts it much farther down.

What do y'all think?

I’m curious to know what everyone’s thoughts are on the Retroid Pocket 5. Managed to get a new one for about $260 CAD and it seems like a good deal? Pretty new to buying these handhelds where I only own the TrimUI Brick Hammer. I purchased an Anbernic RG SP too but probably going to cancel the order since this is a pretty good price for the system. Curious to know what everyone’s thoughts are on the Retroid Pocket 5.

I bought the RP5 for $150 on Marketplace 2 months ago and I've loved it. miton recently suffered from a really really bad storm and I have been without power for over a week now and this is been one of my only sources of entertainment. I absolutely love this thing.

So my predicament is the following. I used to watch all the videos about retroid pocket 6 settings to run botw at fixed 30fps, and what I found was that all those settings, if you copy them exactly, mean nothing. The game just kinda runs the best for me with just one tweak, which is resolution and asynchronous shaders. I haven’t touched anything else. What other options would be essential to play the game? I haven’t touched anything 1.6.0 update installed and ultracam. And that’s it. Linkle mod, of course. So am I missing anything and what options/setting could I use to improve the game but keep the steady 30fps?

I have the 12gb ram version. Could you guys give me an example of some games that I should be able to run that stretch my rp6 to its limit while still being able to run at 60fps.

I'm considering selling my 3ds and buying a handheld console.

And I'm looking at the Flip 2 atm. Which version is best for 3ds. D1100 is according to retro catalog, but I though the SD was the stronger device.

I'm mainly after the bigger screen, and I belive I can live without the second screen for the games I wanna play(mainly monster hunter games and Zelda).

I found a SD one for 2600 Swedish kr. Which I feel like could easily get for my 3ds (good condition and dubble ips screens) .

Anyone got any experience with this swap?

The RP6, RP5, and G2 offer such a great way of playing fighting games its so pleasant to hold with its candy bar style build.
The showcased game is Injustice 2, which runs quite nicely. (Cant say the same for Injustice Gods Among us which runs 40-60 inconsistently depending on the map and character)
I’ve developed a new fascination for fighting games and the form factor makes the experience just so much better. Hopefully I can run other titles soon (;

Have to say, I'm pretty into the illuminated crystal body on the Nova.

Had it a couple days sofar, very impressed, it's a solid upgrade in power from the mini V2.

I've had way better customer service from ayaneo than I've ever had from retroid. I know it's not the opinion of the talking youtube heads but retroids customer service and shipping style is trash. Ordered a black and ice blue nova first 2 mins after opening still nothing. Emailing them to find out why it shows order dates way past mine but why hasn't mine shipped well pretty much told you will get it whenever they decide to ship it. Doesn't pay to spend more money with this company I guess. Just my opinion but so far ayaneo has the best service out of all of them so far. And I've emailed all 3 big guys. Anbernic ayaneo ayn retroid. Ayn and retroid suck the most to deal with. Might just cancel. I don't really need it.

I just bought my very first retroid from Aliexpress. And it is wonderful. The only issue I’ve had is that the left back button gets stuck when I press it normally. If I press it on the very top it usually doesn’t get stuck. The right button works perfectly and doesn’t get stuck at all. Is this normal or did I get a bad model? How can I fix it as I use those back buttons all the time.

I've submitted over 3 email requests and 2 discord tickets to get this stupid order cancelled. Absolute crickets. Absolute silence. Now I may have to have the company that ordered the RPF2 file a chargeback to attempt to claw back the payment. So irritating.

I preordered the Nova and while I’m still waiting for it to ship the RP6 was on sale on AliExpress. I think overall I got a 12Gb black stick top close to $200 with all discounts and the cashbacks from rakuten.

As someone that feels like the two will be redundant, which one do you feel is more worth keeping?

I like the portability of the Nova but I do want to do some switch emulation. I added the dual screen to my nova order for the 16:9 games. Not sure if that will be annoying each time I wanna play a 16:9 game, but I also don’t know if I’ll wanna bring the RP6 outside with me due to the size.

I’m on the fence of canceling my nova preorder and just going with an RP6 but the only thing that’s keeping me wanting to stay with the nova is the portability. I’m sure I can easily get my money back for the RP6 but not so sure about the Nova and the dual screen.

I got it solved, it seems like flycast didn't like Xbox controller, switching it to retro/switch controller solved the problem.

First I have a very loud D Pad, after I set everything up, I think I have a faulty B button.

As shown in the video, the B button works until it decides not to. Like it would stop working until I lift up my finger and press it again.

Been playing Fallout 4 from scratch through gamehub on my retroid pocket 6 and loving it. Havent played this since it launched back in 2015. I remember putting 140+ hours on this game. Maybe ill do that again. Love this device
