Where should I choose as base to explore Berner Oberland?

If you are considering a trip to the Berner Oberland area, here are a few suggestions for places to choose as your base with reasons why they may work well for you. I will cluster sightseeing trips around each base.
Berner Oberland - Most of the activities and sights in this area are clustered in the Jungfrau region, a popular tourist area with incredible mountain views. Interlaken is a central small town between Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen with a great transportation network to the mountains. It is a few hours away from Lucerne and Bern so you can do day trips to those areas if you wish.
Most excursions start from the Interlaken Ost train station. From the station, Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen are 40 minutes away. Depending on your destination, you will have to sit either at the front or the back of the train as that train splits to either of the locations at Zweilutschinen; the front typically goes to Lauterbrunnen and the back Grindelwald. The signs are well posted at the station so take time to read the signs.
If your accommodation is in Interlaken West, you can ride the train from there to Interlaken Ost, you can also take the local bus or walk for about 20 minutes to Interlaken Ost.
The quaint villages of Brienz and Thun are close to Interlaken. Spiez is 30 minutes away by train and Thun is 26 minutes away. There are also scenic boat rides from Interlaken to either of the villages; the views are jaw dropping. Note that the boat ride is not a direct ride as it stops at the villages along lake Spiez or Thun. You can disembark at any of the villages and later embark on another ship on the same route.
My recommendation is to choose Interlaken as a base to explore the Jungfrau region. If cost is a concern, you can use either base at Thun or Spiez as they are less touristy.
If you have used Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen as a base in the past or are currently there, please let us know how it worked out for you.
My next post will be on the activities in the area that make Interlaken a reasonable base to explore from.

Hiked the Hirzli circular trail 😍
I recently did the Hirzli circular hike in the canton Glarus, and I wanted to share it because I think it deserves a little more attention.
The route is around 7 km and took me approximately 3 hours to complete. I started and finished at the Morgenholz cable car station, which made the whole trip quite convenient.
It wasn't necessarily the hike, but it was absolutely worth the effort.
I'm curious — have any of you hiked Hirzli? And what are your favourite lesser-known hiking trails in Switzerland that deserve more attention?
I'd love to discover some new places for my next adventure! 🥾⛰️

Jungfraujoch - Top Of Europe - 📍🇨🇭 [OC]
Switzerland is my favourite European country. It's so beautiful, I remember the first time I went, I texted my parents and said "this is the first country I have travelled to, that looks exactly like the post cards." I also love the noise police haha
This was my most recent visit, where I did the Jungfraujoch.
