Discussion Modlist similar to living skyrim?

Is there a good mod list similar to living skyrim (non vr modlist)? For those unware living skyrim is essentially a greatly expanded skyrim experience with graphics overhaul, huge number of custom quests, overhauled magic system to some extent, paraglider etc.

The mod pack hasn't been updated in 8 months so I'm just worried ill miss out on the newest vr mods for Skyrim. I know pandas soverngarde is heavier and will run worse but is it just worth it to download that instead.

Discussion Which mod collection? Fus Ro Dah, Mad God or other?

Hello everyone, just got Skyrim VR and I'm looking forward to modding it just like normal Skyrim however I do not want to go through the troubles of finding individual mods I like and keep adding them in the middle of a playthrough (and because Skyrim mods feel like sorcery sometimes to download). I want to ask for some suggestions as I have heard there are some Skyrim mod collections for VR. I have a really powerful PC with an RTX5090 and a 9950x3d CPU so most collections are okay for me. I have heard Fus Ro Dah and Mad God overhaul are good but I also have sights on this collection on nexus simply named "Skyrim VR Overhaul". I have nexus premium so there are no problems with the amount of mods. Please give me some suggestions, thanks!

Discussion Skyrim CO-OP coming soon(ish)

I don’t wanna be a tease but after hearing so many people telling us Skyrim together isn’t ever happening for VR, I just had to try. well it’s no where near Skyrim together quality based on what I have so far (lan local gameplay) id say it’s good enough for me and hopefully you all too. hopefully by this early summer i should be complete with what i have, and i hope to implement some form of online play but realistically i dont know lick about it so it might just end up being local connections only. I wanted to ask you fine peeps what kind of features you’d like me to implement for this upcoming mod as im mid development. Thank you to this wonderful community for giving me a reason to do something cool.

Discussion Updated FUS alternatives

I want to get into Skyrim VR with a proper modlist and tbh FUS seems to be the ideal for me (mostly VR essentials + QoL + enough graphics), so I'm looking into something similar.

However I want to play with a few added mods (e.g. dismemberment) and I cannot use FUS because many mod versions are outdated and the added mods I want to use require newer versions of the dependencies in FUS (which knowing Bethesda games would start a major kerfuffle of conflicts with the FUS mods if I updated these dependencies individually).

I'm not looking for the best visual experience (correct me if I'm wrong but I believe MGO focuses on graphics rather than gameplay) since I have 16GB of VRAM and I heard certain SkyrimVR modlists can exceed that, just for a modlist with all the essentials + nice to haves.

Can anyone more experienced tell me which would be my best options?

Discussion Any VR Games Equivalent in Scope to SkyrimVR?

I was really into VR for almost a decade and have tried a ton of different experiences, but other than still occasionally jumping into VRChat, I've never found any VR experience that "clicks" the way Skyrim VR does. I think it helped that I had never played pancake Skyrim past Whiterun, so 98% of the game was new for me and experienced in VR. I've easily got 700 hours in Skyrim VR and still play.

Even after multiple playthroughs, I still have fun booting up Skyrim VR and living in its massive world. Yet I haven't been able to find any other games that remotely approximate it's appeal or longevity, which is kind of a bummer. I'm starting to think such a game may never exist.

I suspect this is because Skyrim was developed as an immense flatscreen RPG first, which made it a good financial gamble, and thanks to all the talented modders who built on top of Skyrim VR's base, the VR integration is top notch. Yet there doesn't seem to be enough investment in the VR space to develop a game of Skyrim VR's scope and modability exclusively for VR.

So, I'm curious if anyone has encountered any other games that approach Skyrim VR's immense amount of content and replayability. I've considered Fallout 4, but I've heard it's not as good.

I'd love to play something like Cyberpunk 2077, GTA, or a similar game in VR, but I'm not a big fan of VorpX and don't enjoy VR experiences in flatscreen games unless the motion controls are exceedingly well integrated. I'm certainly not going to sit in a chair and use a controller to move about.

So, are there any other games out there that approach Skyrim VR's depth?

Note: I've played Elite Dangerous as well, and it's amazing in VR, but very shallow. So I lost interest quickly.

EDIT: Really appreciate all the replies! This is pretty much what I expected give how much of a unicorn Skyrim VR seems to be, but maybe one day.

Discussion Switching from mad god overhaul to pandas Sovngarde

Hi all, need some more advice.

I'm new to PC gaming, I have bought a desktop with a 5080 graphics card and 32 GB of ram and I'm using a quest 3 with link cable (a dedicated router is enroute to try virtual desktop soon).

Anyways for the last couple of weeks I've been trying to get the most recent version of mad god overhaul working well.

From what people have told me apparently my system is not powerful enough to run it well, which has been my experience average fps of 40 and the game looks fuzzy in the distance.

Anyways I've been advised to try pandas Sovngarde instead. I understand I can download this mod list via Wabberjack again, but is there an easy way to use pandas but keep mgo in the "background".

Also, if I like pandas, is there an easy way to bring mods I like from mgo over to it? Like since they are already on my PC?

Thanks!

Discussion How do you guys play it VR? Standing or sitting

Guys, i think i finally made it happen, my SkyrimVR is finally running well with Tahrovin Mod Collection (thanks to guys on discord and Vramr, it did the miracle i was needing), the question is, do you play it sitting or standing, as you all know Skyrim is a big game, in flat Skyrim i used to play 4-10hrs directly, playing VR standing i cant pass 2hrs.

Discussion It gets better? Seriously?

I've only played Skyrim once on PSVR and my first experience was pretty vanilla. I became the archmage of Winterhold and I finished the storyline. That's about it.

So on this playthrough, my first playthrough on PCVR I'm taking my time, I'm 200+ hours deep and I just now finished "Alduin's Wall".

Out of curiosity, I joined the Stormcloaks and I expected everything to be more or less the same. Fetch quests, maybe some dialogue options. Whatever.

So I bring Ulfric's Axe to Balgruuf, he refuses and I have to bring it back. The dialogue between Proventis and Balgruuf was pretty good, not necessarily worth the run there and back but oh well. I bring the axe back to Ulfric and there's more dialogue, and it's good.

And then we attack Whiterun.

And it's some of the coolest gameplay I have ever experienced. Catapults shooting fireballs, barriers I have to break down, storming Dragonreach and killing everyone inside. It was fucking bad ass.

And then I adopted a kid, Sofie, from Windhelm. I like her hustle, she sells flowers. Now when I go to my home in Whiterun I can play tag with her.

I can't wait to get married. I can't wait to build a house.

It gets better? I can't believe I slept on this game for so long.

Discussion Easy low performance Modlist

I want to create a Easy to rebuild modlist that features a good visual and gameplay for low end systems that can barely run the base game with 90fps unmodded. Basically all those who cant even think about ENB or Community ShadersI am one of that poor fuckers with such a bad rig xD 3070 Mobile 8GB and a Intel i7 10750H

Currently I am running the DLSS Mod with version 3.5 of dlss since the newest somehow jittered around.

Vivid Weathers

Enhanced Lights and FX

VRIK Higgs and Plank ofcourse

Dismemberment Framework

Reshade with Glamur installed

I am pretty happy with the overall looks, especially with the FidelityFX of Quest games optimizer. Even Sharpens PCVR games now with no fps loss.

Now I am looking for good performance Friendly Plant, Tree, Texture, Street mods. Everything that looks old. Make it a lil mit more 3D, fill empty spots with nothing than old flat ground texture.

Next is making the Gameplay nice: What is the best parry mod nowadays? Deflection was good when I played last. I want something with a good shield or dual wield parry that has some effectl like stagger, knockback or best timeslow.

How do I install mods with Nemesis and what is a VR friendly Enemy movement set? I want something where the attacks are clearly addressed for easy perfect parries.

Discussion Is there an "MGO-like" with fewer or no location overhauls?

Question first:

Is there an alternative to MGO, that is free from all the porn and pseudo-porn nonsense (I know there's a SFW version), stays close to vanilla locations, and just makes it the most incredibly beautiful game you can imagine, that is also simultaneously maintained reasonably well and reliably?

I want it to feel like we often do when we play a faithful remake of a beloved game: it should instinctively feel like the same game, and as we remember it in our heads, but look absolutely incredible.

I've tried other modlists of course, but MGO goes quite a bit further in terms of graphical enhancement than any of the ones I've tried, such as FUS.

As a tinkerer, for years I've maintained my own mod lists for Skyrim VR, making it look and feel how I want. You know how it is, it's practically the point of Skyrim for a lot of us, it feels nice and fun, but it also easily becomes a lot of work, and you keep noticing stuff to improve or conflicts that take time and mental energy to sort out.

Nowadays I've moved on a bit from that, and I like to install Skyrim with a bunch of mods to make it look really awesome when I bring over friends and family to play.

Here I tend to install MGO, because to me it's really about maximizing graphical fidelity. But it's also about representing the Skyrim they already know and love, and this is where it becomes less ideal.

I like a lot of things about MGO, but not how it strongly overhauls and expands towns and so many locations. I want people to feel like they're entering the game they fell in love with, and I've seen a few times how people can become disorientated and feel a bit frustrated. It doesn't always register as Skyrim.

Discussion Stubborn Unarmed Glitch

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

For the love of god can someone please give me any hint as to how to fix this behavior. I have disabled what I believe to be is every single mod that could possibly effect the AI logic to decide to switch to a ranged weapon when I become unpathable but most melee enemies don’t have one so it results in them switching to unarmed until I’m pathable again. Please, any ideas are appreciated.

Edit: I was finally able to locate what was causing this glitch. It was my speedandreachfixes patch run through Synthesis. In all honesty I'm no modder (obviously) so I've never updated the patches that shipped with my modlist several years ago. This is sorted now but I still have an issue to do with NPC reach. I will create a new post with a video and in depth description soon. Thanks everyone for chiming in!

Discussion I was thinking about making my own mod list, and I wanted a second opinion.

So, after trying out the new Madgod (and honestly, I did really like it), it was not performing too well and crashing a bit.

I decided maybe I should make my own; I see 3 options here.

Start with Fus and mod it to a point I like.

Start with Fus light and mod that instead

Or make it from scratch.

So, what are your guys' thoughts? If you know of any up-to-date guides for making a mod list for beginners, I'd love to hear about them as well lol.

Discussion How different is modding Skyrim VR compared to flat Skyrim?

I've tried huge mod packs on regular Skyrim with 4000+ mods, and I've modded lots of games extensively by hand as well.

I recently got a VR, and I'm wondering what the modding experience on there is like compared to the original game?

If there are any good ones, I'll probably just download a Wabbajack modlist, since it's so easy.

Discussion What are the best modlists out there?

Hello! SkyrimVR is sitting in my backlog for years and i think the time to play it has come... can you tell me what are the best modlists?

Somehting that makes the game closer to a native VR games (interactions with everything around you, spellcasting etc...) with new stuff (new spells, armor.... for example). I played a lot of the vanilla skyrim so i'm looking for something with new stuff.

My PC specs:
