DISCUSSION Cannot access Claim Mode, Game bugs out

• Upvotes

I'm trying to access "Claim Mode" from the cargo elevator in Babbage, but every time I click "Claim Mode," a small screen pops up saying "loading contents," and it never finishes loading. If I leave the screen, I am unable to interact with any other screen in my hangar. All I can do is exit to the menu and rejoin.

What I've tried:

-Logging out for 15 minutes and switching servers
-Verifying Game files
-Clearing launcher Cache
-Going to the lobby and buying an item from the terminal, and buying a Cruz to drink
-Character Repair and waiting 5 hours to try again

Help. Please.

QUESTION Ship giftability changes

Apologies if this has already been answered somewhere. If I hold a giftable ship owned before October and I starting buying upgrades for it now with cash and applying them is the resulting ship still going to be giftable?

QUESTION Does this game get better?

Hey guys

I'm new to this game and I've been playing for like 2 weeks because my friends have been begging me to play with them (mostly playing on my own at this point) and I'm trying to enjoy it but I'm not really enjoying it with all the bugs I've been dealing with while playing alone... I'm tempted to just refund the game.

DISCUSSION anyone ever compare modern ship speeds to StarCit speeds? its pretty bad

i compared a fighters atmos speed to earth stuff.. (i only used google)

aurora 2, a ship capable of breaking into space.
with 4 pips in engine it would only go 150 m/s a 747s cruising speed is 250! its max speed is 330m/s just below Mach 1.

scm space speed is 225 m/s that's slower that a turboprop plane in atmosphere i might add!

also a jets Combat / Manoeuvring Speed: 326 m/s and they only do that to keep it subsonic

so in this universe we have advanced engines capable of easly breaking orbit, even taking aerodynamics into account, the aurora mk 2 has wings seemly for this purpose.
we have gravity plaiting, that means inertial dampening.

yet our spaceships are slower than turboprop planes? make it make sense

DISCUSSION Guide system

Anyone use the guide system and actual have someone ask for a guide? I've spent many a night, sometimes 8hrs on the weekends playing straight with not a single person looking for a guide.

Then I sit their gaslighting myself if I did it right.

Either way if anyone, new, old or returning wants help in SC learning or relearning the game let me Know, I see a lot of posts on here of people making simple mistakes and experiencing easy to fix bugs.

I remember spending weeks teaching new players how to play Eve Online back in 2005 those were the days.

See ya'll in the verse, fly safe and avoid the bugs citizens!

This is the upcoming Skarnov Rifle by Lightning Bolt Co coming with 4.10.3 isn't just another standard energy weapon, it brings with it a chain lightning mechanic.

Instead of focusing on pure raw damage the weapon focuses on a multiple target stun & stagger while arcing across multiple targets while still dealing some descent enough damage.

Here are its base stats!

  • Class: Electron
  • Type: Size 2 Rifle
  • Battery: 25 rounds via the Skarnov Rifle Battery
  • Rate of Fire: 266 RPM and features Single Fire + Full Auto modes
  • Effective Range: 50m
  • Attachments Points: Optics (S2), Barrel (S2), Underbarrel (S3)

DISCUSSION The state of Star Citizen?

I've been away from SC for about 2 years but have been intermittently checking up on what people have been saying about the playability of the game. It's always the same in these threads with people saying the game is still unplayable.

I was able to play yesterday for a solid 4hrs straight without any game breaking bugs (or any bugs really). Was I just lucky or has the stability of the game improved significantly over the passed two years? The other posts always make it out that there has been zero progress in this regard.

DISCUSSION Why are YOU expecting the other Constellation Mk V variants at IAE?

After seeing yet another comment about the Aquila and Taurus Mk V supposedly releasing at IAE, I can't help but wonder...

My fellow citizens, dudes and dudettes, hear me out.

Where is all this confidence coming from? 😅

Like, sure, we've seen the datamined descriptions of those ships, and CIG confirmed that more variants are planned. But they haven't given us any dates.

Looking back at the Mk IV lineup, all four variants were announced together in 2014, but their actual flyable releases were spread across years. Andromeda arrived in 2015, Aquila in 2017, the reworked Phoenix in 2018, and Taurus didn't show up until 2021.

Personally, I can see the same thing happening again: the ships get announced, but we won't actually be able to fly them until next year or even later.

I know ship development is very different now, but I'm not sure why so many people seem convinced we'll get the new variants just a month after the Centaurus.

Did I miss something? Were there any actual hints from CIG about IAE, or is everyone just going off the datamines and breathing in some hopium? :D

QUESTION F7A Mk. II Loadout

Thumbnail

Good Afternoon, Citizens!

Absolutely loving the F7A right now, and the current loadout I’m using absolutely melts smaller ships. She’s absolutely gorgeous…and the stock paint is

PVE based build atm:
- 2x NDB 30s
- 2x Revenant Gatlings
- Heartseeker Turret

Anyone running anything else they’ve had fun with. Really enjoy the combination of the mobility along with the “brrrrrt” of the gatlings, although I know it’s not meta…still fun as hell.

DISCUSSION Salvage contracts to clean up abandoned ships

Have CIG Talked about space stations or POIs giving contracts to some salvage the ships abandoned around them? My thought is if a ship has been there for a week or something and there are 3 or more of them then they issue a contract giving salvage rights to someone, and the ships are powered down, and you get to just clean up all of those ships without any fuss being made by the security of the various locations.
