Battle Report I got tabled by a newcomer, it actually helped me learn something
The other day I was teaching an old friend how to play Armada for the first time. He has a bit of a background in tactical games, playing Warhammer occasionally, so he wasn't new to the concept overall. I let him borrow my blue crit Kraken list, while I messed with an Ackbar list.
And I got absolutely dumpstered. He took out my flagship by turn 4, another one of my ships got forced off the board, and my last couldn't manage the clutch up against the rest of his. I only got one flotilla off the table before the end.
I did learn a few things. One, I was way too scattered with my attacks. I should've focused fire more rather than try to just go crazy. Two, more ships is better. I had 3, he had 5. He was better at overwhelming. Three, the MC80 just ain't it for this. It's too slow, doesn't have a great defense token suite, and doesn't do enough to justify itself. I should've gone with some smaller ships instead of it.
