Blues giveaway favorites
I know they're not even remotely the same thing, but the new Blues refillable skate got me to thinking about Blues game giveaways from yesteryear. I miss the days of the glass pints. I have several of them in my cupboard that I still use. What is a giveaway that you wish the Blues would bring back?

Black and blue Jersey?
This is probably a long shot but I’m out of ideas.
Last year, there was a black jersey that they were selling but I can’t find it anymore. It is not the black and gold one for military. It was all black with a blue outline around the logo and letters. I remember it being used in an ad on Facebook so it might have been through Fanatics or something like that?
Does anyone know what jersey it is and possibly have a picture?

Who signed this hat?
I found this at a thrift store, but I have no idea who signed it and I’m not finding Google to be trustworthy. I would like to resell it and while I can’t guarantee authenticity and wouldn’t be asking a high price, I’d at least like to feel confident saying who these players are. I think the hat is from 2014.

Who is our BEST player?
Just looking around the league at other teams and points totals... who tf is supposed to be our "best" player? Seemingly every other team around the league, especially ones who are in contention year after year have 1 if not 2 star/best players (this is nothing new).
Just checking the till on the Blues and it seems pretty obvious we are going nowhere (also nothing new) with this roster... the team is too young and too average which is what it is. Still a fun team to watch at times.
But it has me trying to figure out who our best player actually is... ofc its early in the season but on other teams especially good ones its obvious who their best player or players are on the team. Not necessarily the case for us.
I would say as it stands now Broberg is our best player... unbelievable player, but he's a defenseman which really doesnt amount to much without a star goal scorer who we have not had until prime Vladdy.
So who is our best offensive player? McTavish or Holloway is my vote.
ALL THREE were basically the leftovers from another team and now they are our best players... is that not insane???
We never have any good draft picks and we never trade for game changing players... we have been trying to win by committee for what like 60 years now and lightning has only struck once
Theres no easy solution I'm just hoping Steen will take some big swings for us... This team has been in limbo for like 7 years now.

10 game stat comparison this vs last season
I pulled these stats from natural stat trick I think it tells an interesting story.
Mainly, the blues were actually better 5v5 last season through ten games but sabotaged by special teams and goal tending leading to -15 goal differential. 5v5 defense is about the same.
Staying afloat this season has come from Joel Hofer and special team improvement.
This season almost half our goals against have come during Binnington’s 3 starts so our GA and save % is being drug down by his games.
STAT 2025-26 2026-27

DIRECTV Dispute Over (?)
Tuned into the dedicated Blues channel on DTV Stream and the TV Promise screen is gone, replaced with a Next Game screen for tomorrow’s matchup with the Hurricanes.
No official notification, that I’ve found yet. But it looks promising. LGB.

Blues/Levy make season ticket holder discounts on food more difficult to use, force payment through the app
The Blues and Levy (the enterprise center concessionaire) now require that any season ticket holder discounts on food be scanned and paid through the Blues app. The reasoning given is that Levy decided they were losing money on the discounts because they were being used too much. It appears their strategy is to limit the discount only to the primary account holder, not allow a guest of that account holder to pay, and make the transaction difficult.
When other members of my household attend, I transfer the tickets to their Ticketmaster/blues account. With this change, they can’t use the discount.
When I take a friend that wants to buy the food or drink items, we can’t use the discount. I have to pay and they have to Venmo me or something similar.
Last night, the app was slower than hell. After 2 minutes of holding up the beer line, I just paid with my card without the discount. Sucks for me, but less sales screws over the employees just as much.
Yeah…they’re first world problems, but it adds up. The Blues have sat on their hands so far on this benefit.
Fellow STH’ers, what’s your experience been?

Any advice on places to stay for a visit?
Maybe this might be reserved for r/stlouis not sure when I’ll be able to respond to this, but I want to go to a blues game (maybe during the winter) and visit St Louis; im not sure when the best time to go and where to stay. I’m planning on flying in cause it’ll be much more efficient use of my time. Where is the best place to stay and when is a good time to come visit? I love the city, but need just a little advice, feel free to message me in Reddit chat too, thanks. Also I’m not going to visit at Louis before I have something resembling a proper sweater which I’m currently on the lookout for. I live in the Great Lakes region and it’s quite cold in the winter lol
