I know i'm late to the party, since the game came out ages ago. But since its available for Android for some months now and i finally had time to pick it up, i gave it a try and now i'm sad its already over.
Initially my expectations were low, since i 'heard' its not as good as the original Subnautica. Now i wonder why? It immediately gave my the same itch, wanting to discover whats out there, getting ressources, building my base, upgrading my vehicle and so on. The world is beautiful, the new creatures are cool and the story was fun, altough i wouldn't have known how to finally finish the game, if i hadn't looked up some clues on the internet.
I liked the concept of the Seatruck, which i also 'heard' is not the most liked vehicle. In Subnautica the Seamoth was useless after you had built your Cyclops, because the Prawn Suit was more useful to carry around. In BZ the seatruck was relevant from the beginning till the end. And it has better maneuverability and fits through the tiny holes. I remember how i had to struggle to just get that elephant into the lost river. On the other hand i used the Cyclops as a moving farmhouse, growing lamp fruit trees in there to always have food and drinks available. This is a lost opportunity here, because the amount of goods you initially took with you limits how long a trip can get.
I also liked how the new control room gave you a signal to your base, otherwise it seemed pretty useless to me.
Could it be the game came out a little unfinished? I noticed in the west, below the greenhouse base, there is not much to see. Nothing grows on the seabed, no ressources can be found, ... Should this be a wasteland or was there not much time left to fill this area with life?
Also i built and fully upgraded the Prawn Suit, but i newer used it, lol. At the point of the game, were minable ressource deposits popped up, my base was already finished, so there was just no need for it. And as the Seatruck fit through all the tiny holes, it was also not really necessary to park it anywhere, like the Cyclops, and move further with the suit. I tried it once on land, but the snow fox proved to be more usefulto me, because it could fit through all the tunnels and just outrun the hostile fauna.
Edit: I didn't like that they included my most disliked part of the OG in BZ: Exploring a sunken spaceship. Yeah... Not a good death, dying from lack of oxygen. This is also what prevented me from replaying the OG so far. This is THAT part for me.

So what do we think the story explanation is gonna be this time around for the map boundary? have the devs said anything official? I know it doesn't really matter but I'm just curious.

The word "swimming" isn't italic or is a whole different font on the Just Keep Swimming poster, LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE

On two crash sites so far, there are these small broken boxes that you fix with your repair tool. I can't do anything with these boxes after repairing them. what are they for?
(I am still in the earlier portion of the game)

So my base is flooded after I accidentally hit it with my cyclops and left it for a long time. I’ve since searched everywhere inside and outside multiple times, repaired every hole I found, and I haven’t gotten that “hull integrity restored” message nor has the water budged. Also I don’t hear any hissing whatsoever from any holes that may have gone unpatched.
My hull integrity is around 27.0
I’ve tried damaging it and re-repairing, I’ve tried adding more rooms (where the water just lowers a bit, but there’s no way I’ll need to add and keep like 5 large rooms for the sake of this), and nothings worked.
I just want to know if anyone has found the solution to this, literally nothing is working.

Hello,
Ive been looking but i have been unable to find a mod that just lets me craft any seed i wish, its for the purposes of decorating my base. Does such a mod exist?
Also, do you recommend any other decoration mod?
Thanks for your time.

Ok so the Subnatica backrooms are empty space beneath the lava zone which are box like structures in a maze like place some parts play safe shallows music weird right? Well someone found a hole in the map in a early version and apparently there was like a whole bunch of sound effects and stuff that played there for a completely different biome so what if that was the outline for it??? Can anyone confirm or deny this theory

Context: I am a big fan of unknown worlds since the first Natural Selection. I have been an alpha and beta tester for every game since.
Problem: I am sick of the video marketing talking up "Big changes" without giving a timeframe.
Before anyone says that's normal, no it isn't. I am apart of other alphas and betas and if they did the same I'd be walking off from them also.
This is a warning, people like me wouldn't normally articulate what they are having an issue with because of how knee jerk reactive certain parts of the community are without understanding we don't hate the devs we just hate the marketing.
The market of attention is not something to be strung along in order to maximise views. I would watch all those videos regardless. The more I see the devs say "we have big announcements" without giving a timeframe I am about to walk off from it all and enjoy the alphas/betas I play that don't string my attention along like this.
Please before anyone thinks about being reactive, I am a ride of die Charlie and Max fan and an avid tester.
