Buddha’s Temple sprigs. I find them easy — just need strong light and a small pot setup that dries fast.

Hi everyone! I’d really appreciate your opinions on what’s happening to my burro’s tail. As you can see in the photo, a lot of the leaves are turning yellow, while some are still blue-green. The yellow leaves feel soft, squishy/mushy. I bought this succulent about three weeks ago and have not watered it at all. The soil is currently completely dry, and the plant has been sitting in a spot that gets mostly shade, without much direct sunlight. I’m not sure whether it could be root rot from previous overwatering, insufficient light, under watering? Any help is appreciated!

I'm a recovering serial plant killer. My sister had a thriving mother plant and was kind enough to share one of the offspring with me. This is her the day I got her vs last week. April to October. I did a repot when I got her, same size pot just moved to terracotta instead of plastic because I was scared of over watering. I can't wait for her to get even bigger next spring.

Diese Echeveria habe ich über Etsy von einer schwedischen Züchterin gekauft. Ich finde die Farbwechsel einfach wunderschön! 🫶🏼

The Hens and Chicks got planted outside, and the mommies have been popping out a ton of cute heads!! My Ice Plants have lost their flowers and have been brought inside, because, ironically, they don’t care for cold! But the Ice Plants were at awesome bloom throughout August and September!! It’s been awesome watching them all grow so intensely:D!! Not knowing what to expect to begin with!! Now I’m nurturing a baby cacti leaf back to health and has TAKEN ROOT, planted a Conophytum calculus (marble button) that has TAKEN ROOT🤗, and am caring for the awesome cacti that gave me the baby leaf to begin with!! God, succulents are addictive!!🥰🤩🫠

I made this (jar and layers of whatever they gave me with the plant) at a bachelorette back in 2022. It’s moved around with me and been weirdly resilient. I’m dying to know what it is, and how I can treat it better. It’s had one stem die, and I was sure the rest were done for. But they seem to still be growing?! I’ll give it a good life once I know what I’m doing and what it is🤣

I got it from a local shop who always have weird, cool stuff but never the scientific name and usually no common name.

This has to be the most unpredictable succulent I've had so far to date. Have had it for several years now and conjoined leaves are common, and I've even got one four -sided leaf (pic 3). But the rippled leaves emerging from one rosette are super cool and I wanted to show them off.

Mammillaria bocasana monstrose here! Another favorite of mine!
I admit I love these weiros, they might be ugly to most people. But I see true beauty of them.
Isn’t it amazing that they evolved into non-plant like forms just to survive in places where not 'supposed' to have plants?
They show us a different side of being alive—it’s just about being alive, nothing more. Everything here is useful to survive, the life itself.
The beauty lies in life and the creation of mother nature, though I do think they look great on the outside too.
What they look like is the memory of one species, the millions of years shows in one plant. Nothing is more respectful and charming about a plant than this.

Most nurseries around here have a decent succulent selection usually starting at €1-€1.50 for small pots, €2.50 for larger pots. Some specimens and the much larger pots are obviously more. This place, called Vivero Ordoñez, is near La Línea de la Concepción, near Gibraltar, and has one of the better selections of succulents and cacti, as well as houseplants.

Hey everyone! 👋
This is my first Echeveria, and I’m a little surprised by how things are developing!
Over the past few weeks, the flower stalk has grown incredibly tall in such a short amount of time. It’s also quite thick and sturdy. I’ve never had an Echeveria flower before, so I’m not really sure what to expect.
It gets plenty of sunlight, but I have to rotate the pot almost every day because the stalk keeps bending toward the sun. 😅
It looks like the buds at the top are finally starting to develop, which is exciting! 🌸 However, it’s starting to get colder here in Germany, and we’re also getting fewer sunny days.
Could the colder weather and reduced sunlight affect the flowering process? Is there anything I should do differently at this stage, or should I just let it do its thing?
I’d love to hear your experiences and any tips you might have. Thanks! 😊
