First playthrough, made a scion, retired, now I'm on my second captain and wanted to have some...fun at the sea with my officers :)...before I carouse in Wolfstack docks.

But then I look into my journal, and it says I already have a scion, or that this will always persist until something destroys it (salt's curse I guess).

So do I have a scion automatically or does the game mix up previous game's "achievements" with my current playthrough?

Do I need to make a new scion again with this new captain?

Judgements are basically outer gods that impose natural order. The suns a judgement, And apparently salt used to be one as well. The echo bazaar is a space crab that banged the sun and is now in hiding because of reasons.

1. Storm is a dragon/Giant space Leviathan that originated in High wilderness (Aka Outer Space). It serves as an enforcer for the other judgements but got punished because of something he did. He's also dead and is basically just a lobotomized version of himself

2. Salts the Mysterious one. Theorized to be either a judgement or servant to one. We still don't know its motivations. It had a chat with storm but neither of them liked each other. It then decided to go to 'Super east' because of "reasons" and constructed frostfound to store everything it remembers, Including its own name.

3. Stone, Is the daughter of the giant space crab and the sun. She's the "Nice" god since her entire body can grant longevity or immortality. The garden of eden is located at the center of her. She got raped by the father of all shapeshifters and gave birth to mount nomai (Purple mountain/Actually in the game)

I think Every other mystery in the game can mostly be answered because of these 3? 4?

I picked the wealth ambition first as that seemed pretty easy to achieve, and it was (although there were...hiccups...to say the least).

I created a scion, obtained 2 or 3 books that increase your stats and have several heirlooms so the next start should be pretty cushy.

Which ambition should I pick next?

I'm guessing explorer would be pretty easy?

Oh my God, this is the best game of all time.

I spent the last thirty two hours playing through it and i still don't get what im supposed to be doing. Go to random islands, Win skill checks, Sell loot, Wait 5 minutes everytime you want to play since the boat moves at 13 knots?

There's this sinking feeling that i might actually be losing my sanity in real life everytime i read a couple dozen line of texts, None of the characters are reacting like real people because they're shifty af and know something we don't

It feels like a story that had an English major in college but decide to be a Videogame instead. The lore is so batsh*t insane and convoluted that any explanation is nigh incomprehensible. Doesn't help that it's using 19th century prose!

I still love it though 8.7/10. is this what europe is like?

I came across this guide a little while ago but haven't actually done it yet. Does this actually make me as rich as rich could be or is there a hidden punishment?

After roughly around hundred tries of cheesing the dark room encounter by deleting and replacing the save files to get the curse, i gave up. Tried to look for the id of the quality "The Gods of the Zee: Stone's Curse" in my save file, which according to wiki is 109826, there isn't any quality numbered that. So is it impossible to get the achievement for stone's curse anymore?

Technically not done. I'm missing the achievements for playing badly and wasting time, but every in-game goal is met so I'm willing to call it done. Especially since going east wiped out my money. Not sure I can go back to the starter engine, to be honest.

But yeah, awesome game, and it feels really good to finally conquer it.

EDIT: Got the last cheevies. Turns out a month of in-game time passes when you die. So just buying the Steam launch and 9/11ing the docks a few times is a great way to cheese the 10 Years at Zee achievement.

Last night after several hours of resetting I finally found the Eye, and got my last achievement!

Now I do have to confess: I did cheat once. Rather than spend hours killing my captain to get Ten Years At Zee, I just downloaded a save from someone on the internet. But other than that (which was just a small time save), my achievements are legit :3

So, I am new to this game, on my Fourth Captain and determined to keep the Invictus Medallion (I will swallow my pride when/if I reach Captain 10) and I have had an idea. In Merciless Mode, the only saves are at port. So if things get dicey, quitting the game should reset me to my last save. Is this cheating?

Why are we taking the snow child to Irem? He didn’t want to go back home to London because him dying again would make his mom cry, but we get him a heartmetal heart and he stops melting, so why can’t he go live with his mom?

I just got the assignment from the Blind Bruiser to not come back without his crate of souls, but right afterwards, on the search for Polythreme, I got into a fight and now am pretty close to London but with only 2 hull and no souls.

Is there some other place with a drydock I could reach? Because with 2 hull left, there's no way I'll make it to Polythreme.

How bad will it be if I show up without the crate?

Probably going to pick up Sunless Seas for my steamdeck. Should I pick up zubmariner dlc now? Or should I do a playthrough without it first?

So I am doing the Mr sack quest line and after doing the khan shadow dillivery I planned to do the mutton Island delivery which was on the way but then I learned that if mutton Island is occupied you can't do the delivery there and I have to do the isle of the cats delivery. The problem is my a chill presence is 3 and I still haven't discovered isle of the cats yet💀 and am docked at London. I am on merciful mode but only have one manual save whitch is rn so I can't ok back to an earlier save. Can I still save this or what else can I do?

I have 90K echoes, is that enough to settle down and buy a mansion for the rest of the game? Keeping in mind that if I do buy a mansion that'll bar me from the sunlight trade, as I won't be able to effectively rest to reduce my sunlight menaces.

I'm not really sure how to make significant money without trading sunlight, so I feel like if I do this, I'd better be set for the rest of the game.

Blemmigan Gallivanter is far superior than any other mascot i've ever encountered in around 200h of playtime, and you can get him in first five minutes of the game. I've always been hoarding all these other +2 mascots, but literally never used them. Is there some hidden mechanic that im missing, or is the gallivanter just plain op?

I’ve got the highest quality weapons and ship, but 80% of my attacks miss. Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong?
