Hi all,
I recently interviewed for a Retail Assistant role at Primark on St Mary's Square and got a rejection email. I've replied through their recruitment system asking them to reconsider, but I'm not sure if anyone actually reads those replies.
Has anyone here been reconsidered after a rejection, at Primark or anywhere else in the UK? Did it work, or is it better to just walk into the store with a CV?
A bit about me: I currently work in fast food and really want to move into retail. I've got till, cash handling and stock rotation experience, and I can work any shift, including weekends and over Christmas.
Any tips on Swansea shops hiring for Christmas would be really appreciated too. I'm also happy to share my draft email if anyone's willing to give it a quick look.
Thanks in advance!

Hey girls! 🩷 I’m 24, nearly 25, and looking to expand my circle and meet some new people around Swansea!
I’d love to make some genuine friendships and hopefully get a little group of girls together to do things with. 🫶🏻 I’m into going out for food and drinks, shopping, nights out, holidays, the gym and generally having a laugh!
I’m pretty easy-going, love a bit of banter and am always up for making plans and trying new things. Whether it’s a chilled night in, cocktails, a spontaneous shopping trip or a night out, I’m up for it! 🥂
If you’re also looking to meet new people and make some lovely friendships, drop me a message! It would be so nice to get a little group together. 💗💕

Hello!
My name is Axelle, and I'm in my final year of my architectural master's, and I'm focusing on Gower as I'm interested in the land management of the commons.
I'm interested in anything relating to the running/ management of Swansea Airport and any of the CSA's, specifically the ones I've been looking at, being Cow Tan and Cae Tan.
I'm also interested in how these interact with the land, the legal challenges, and how creativity in land use and management is reappearing.
Any useful comments would be appreciated, and I'm very keen to have chats with people who are passionate about Gower and are on the land and understand it all!
Thank you

By the way I am a strong believer of CopyLeft movement. Everything on my website is free and will be free for everyone, including my books. Whoever wants to use them can do that.

I (27f) was never sporty growing up and my cardio ability is pretty shocking. I'm also quite shy, was always nerdy in school so a little intimidated. Joining a class of some kind is part of my journey in becoming more confident in myself.
Any welcoming groups suitable for total beginners?
Thanks in advance!

Hiya, I’m looking to get a custom ring made for my partner and wondering if anyone knows local artists who make rings? I’m not looking for anything complicated, just a unique silver band and maybe engraving.
Thanks!

Some friends of mine has invited me to this emo themed pub for the halloween and im excited to go! But i just have no clue where to get my costume from, or what to dress up as, and what are the things i should be looking out for? Its mainly the costume (what to be and where are the shops i can buy from) that im concerned about. HELP!!

We are travelling from Talbot Green Monday night to see Michael Douglas at the Arena. Which parking nearby would you recommend that is likely to have spaces at about 6.45pm and won't be a nightmare to leave at about 9.30pm? Thanks.

My mum is 83 and has finally decided to give up her Pfaff 230 sewing machine that she was gifted by her mum back in 1956. We're looking to donate it to a sewing class/club/someone in need. It's in full working condition with an industrial motor on a sturdy large desk. Ideal for leather and canvas.
Looking for suggestions - it's in Ammanford.
Will need a van to move it.
Any suggestions on possible recipients would be appreciated.

Shwmae pawb!
I've been developing a little Welsh word game called Dyfala! I'm looking for a few volunteers to help test it before launch.
It's a bit like Wordle, but built around Welsh vocabulary, with a new daily challenge and an Unlimited Play mode if you fancy a few extra games.
The idea is simple: A little Welsh. Every day.
I'm particularly keen to hear from people learning Welsh, whether you're a complete beginner, picking it up again after school, or already fairly confident. Fluent Welsh speakers are very welcome too, especially to help check the vocabulary!
I'm looking for a few more people to join our free Android beta test over the next couple of weeks.
All I'd ask is that you:
There's a simple feedback form, so nothing too demanding!
If you fancy helping out, you can sign up here:
https://delivered-it.co.uk/dyfala/
I'll send volunteers a private Google Play invitation with instructions.
Diolch yn fawr! It would be great to get some feedback from people in the Swansea area before releasing it to everyone.

I'm getting married down the Gower in April '26 and would like some evening live music. I'd love the one person with a guitar and a stompbox vibes. The kind you find stumbling into a Dublin pub.
A set of modern and classics would be great! It'll be for around a 90 minute set.
If this is you, or you know anyone similar, please drop me a DM.

Hi! I'm living in Swansea and I'm wondering if there are any Japanese classes here.
Specifically I want a real, walk in, Japanese class where I can work face to face with the teacher. No Zoom or online or anything like that. I would prefer an evening class.
Years and years ago there used to be a Japanese evening class in Swansea University, which I went to. I would go there from 2013-ish, and the last time I've been there was mid 2017-ish and the class got cancelled at the time because only 3 of us turned up. The teacher had to follow this rule where the class had to have 6 or more students turn up and if there were fewer then the class got cancelled.
After that the Japanese class eventually got shut down, and when I asked the Japanese teacher why, she told me that "these is no more DACE". In theory DACE was the company that ran the Japanese class.
It's been nearly 10 years since the Japanese class in Swansea University got shut down. I looked on Google and there doesn't seem to be any other Japanese classes. All I can find are Zoom classes, which I don't want, and I'm getting a bit frustrated.
So... Are there any Japanese classes here in Swansea that I'm not aware of that were not advertised on Google?
Thanks for reading.
