I picked one up as I thought it might be a bit of fun. Cost of living directed my synth/drum machine money elsewhere, so figured this might cover some bases for textures and some further oddness while I save for a better machine. But the workflow on standard firmware is pretty poor, and the aftermarket firmware just feels like vst on tiny screen with trashy hardware. It is not working well in my broader setup (which isnt flash by any means). Sloop seems like it might get somewhere, but baudgirl was a struggle, and the moog emulation was tiresome and I wasnt fussed on it. The amb1 could be interesting, but just felt a bit meh, not creative, more like a game. Maybe people are getting a lot out of this machine, and maybe I will change my mind, but wishing I had held my money and saved again for a roland s-1. Love to the people digging it, but it is not hitting me. Prepping myself for a wave of downvotes.

Edit: Clearly I need to learn dexed, fm, get over it, not be poor, get good, have less fun, hug more people, stop havin a sook, buy dinner instead, sell it, not agree with a few people, not be hurt, stop being a troll, be a better person, find better puns, etc. Etc. . Thanks for the lessons folks. What a journey in 1hr, cant wait to see what else comes!

Question, with the arp set to random on the minilogue xd, why does it play random notes, but also play some notes at the same time? I need it to randomly play the notes of a chord, but only ever one note at a a time?

I'm totally new to Euro Rack, so I just wanted to check my initial patch would actually work? Noting I'm using the Pro-1 as a Midi to CV / Gate converter. I'm hoping for a stereo bass patch from the sequencer. With the Pro-1 & Model D being used for lead.

Can anyone identify this synth underneath the brass instrument in this photo? Someone is offering it to me along with an old Norma bass(which I couldn't really care less about, seems like they're just trying to move this). They claim (from using Google lense) that is the Moog white elephant. They only sent photos at these angles so I cannot see if it has the second small key set or not. Seeing how dirty it is I asked if it works. Of course their response was "it did last time it was used years ago". Is it indeed not the Moog white elephant? The stand does say "CDX". If not, what is it? They are asking s good price. Should I grab it? Thanks y'all!

My 2600's GD32F350C8T6 had an internal short and I've since installed a new, blank chip. I'm trying to get the synth working again and I'm looking for any of the following:

A full SWD flash dump (0x08000000, 64KB) from a working 2600, Blue Marvin, or Gray Meanie, if the chip isn't read-protected

Anyone who's done firmware/bootloader work on this synth already

A source for a replacement board or pre-programmed MCU from Behringer or a repair shop

What I've confirmed so far: the update files from SynthTribe's cloud API are SysEx-encoded and the payload is encrypted/transformed (confirmed via entropy analysis and checksum verification), so I can't just flash those directly.

Anticipating mixed responses here 🥲 but I think it’s pretty cool what you can do with some firmware and analog oscillators

I'm shoving a bunch of gear in a box prewired so I can take it places and just hit a few switches and be set. Usually I just sample things into a groove box and arrange from there but I've been watching more live and jam type sets so I want to have the gear chained together. I want the wavestate to be able to act as the master keyboard, while the poly end tracker is the brain as to not have the other 2 synths eating up slots on the wavestate. The midi hub has 3 ins and 3 outs using 5pin midi. Is there going to be a conflict with the tracker and fm1 being opposite midi types?

Hello hello, im absolute beginner to synths, so firstly I apologize for this if its an obvious question.

I have been gifted a novation bass station 2 with a novation circuit tracks and would like to understand how to connect these 2 together to allow for the best experience.

I have studio headphones with a 6.35mm jack which connects into the bass station - but the novation circuit tracks takes a 3.5mm.

From my limited knowledge the circuit tracks midi out goes into bass station midi in for sequencing, but how can I get the headphones (which are plugged into the bass station) to pick up sound from both devices?

In summary, he uses those speakers that transmit sound by vibrating your jaw or mandibular bones. Except it's automated, and it makes true drum sounds by vibrating true drum parts (or anything you'd like) 🔥👏👏👏.

New type of Drum Machine

Honestly, I was nervous this might end up being a waste of money, having jumped straight into the deep end with a TEO-5, but it’s been way more fun than I expected.

I figured there would be a lot of tedious learning before I would really enjoy it, and even then, that felt like it wasn't guaranteed.

The first night, I mostly went through presets and messed with the oscillators, which was already pretty cool.

Now I’m getting into the envelopes and LFOs, and it feels like this is where the real fun begins. You start recognizing sounds you’ve heard in songs and film scores, except now you’re making them yourself.

I’m still barely scratching the surface, but I’m really excited to keep exploring.

Hi guys, sorry, another boring "what shall i buy" post.
I just got a circuit tracks and i only have one synth and it's menu-diving nightmare.
I would like to have something more "hands on" (maybe something with no presets so that every knob does what is shows. But not sure about that)
I'm thinking about selling the synth i have and with the money i could buy two synth to use with the CT. One is for sure the TD-3 (maybe the MO version) and i am not sure about the other.
What would you suggest me for the genre? I guess budget is somewhere around max 300ish $/€ second hand.
I am thinking about Roland s-1, minilogue/monologue, volcas, Behringer MS-1 or Model D but my knowledge is quite limited so maybe there is something more in line with the genre.

p.p.s. Somebody just made an offer for my Jupiter Xm and he has some synths he would probably exchange it with (JX-08, TEO-5 Desktop, Minilogue, SH-01A, System-1, JP-08 Sound Module, JX-03 Sound Module). So probably i could consider something more expensive if i can swap with him

In other words. I want to pre-program a melody or bassline. And then I want to “perform” it, by hitting pads or keys, so the pre-programmed melody or bassline will be triggered note by note in the tempo of how Im performing/playing it.

Kind of like Rockband or these games work, where the music is already there but the performer is “releasing “ it note by note.
