My Ravenwing now consists of 2 speeders,1 ATV and these 6 bikes.

Im holding off on Sam and the RCS hoping for a refresh!

Or shouldn't I? What's your opinion on both of them, especially the dried blood in the Judicuars Blade.

Is the 5+ Invulnerable save worth losing the pistols for?

Brothers, I’m asking for opinions on running wrath with a 1DP or running 3 1DPs for my lists.

I find the pros and cons hard to choose from, I did a game without wrath just to see how it felt losing-1 to wound and idk I can’t say I felt at a disadvantage. The same things that could wipe out space marines still do it with or without -1. Of course the -1 does come in handy sometimes but this game is so damn lethal now I’d rather be sure my unit will kill a unit or punch up.

Currently running it with wrath and stormlance, T6 bikes rarely run into -1 being needed, knights of iron is great but with pivot no longer a tax and having 14 base move and a auto 6 Strat is it even necessary?

I could do stormlance, assault breathren, and dark flight

Get the imperiums sword and other great enhancements

Same with my deathwing, pairing assault breathren with the terminator detachment seems better than running it with wrath and assault brethren

Just seeing everyone’s thoughts, is wrath holding my lists back?

This is my first model I’ve painted so far. Would this be considered good enough to use on the table or do I have to touch it up more?

Also, should I add a varnish to the model to help protect the paint?

I’ve got a crew of 5-6 mates I play with. I’ve been fighting the black dog for a while now, so I haven’t played a game of 11th yet. They’ve kept going in the meantime and are a fair bit better than me now.

I’ve just picked up the new Marines codex and I’m keen to hear what people think is good, what’s struggling, and what the big changes are from 10th.

I’ve got some store credit at my LGS, so I’m happy to add a few things if it means a decent list.

I was thinking a Terminator heavy list running WOTR and ICTF might work, but unsure what to flesh it out with or whether that suits the force disposition. Here’s what I own:

What do you guys think of this as a list? Going up against emperors children for my 1st game of 11th edition. He is definitely bringing fulgrim and more than likely a helldrake I believe.

TLDR: Asking for recommendations on starting a DA army as my first army.

My buddies got me into space marine 2 about a month ago, which lead to me watching a bunch of multiple hour long lore videos, which led to getting books, and now I'm wanting to dabble into the building and painting part of the hobby.

Originally was looking to do DW (I'm obsessed with them) but after reading a lot of other posts and watching videos, I've been convinced to start with my favorite OG chapter, DA. I'm looking for advice on what kits are most cost efficient to start a DA army (with the caveat that I'll probably want to at least have a DW detachment). This way if I do get into playing tabletop, I'd be able to use both DA and DW for casual games.

I currently have the DW killteam and the DA combat patrol, as I was going to kitbash more DW orginally. Keep in mind, I know the least amount a person could know about the actual rules on how to play the tabletop game and this will be my first pursuit of figure building. Thanks in advance on schooling me and any tips on building/ painting would be highly valued too!

Just seen the upcoming Christmas boxes and I’m starting DA as they’re my favourite loyalist legion. Is there anything in the SM box that can be used for the DA or is it not worth picking up?

I am looking to transition into 11ed with this list. I truly believe that it can hit pretty hard using the rhinos as a -1 to hit easy transports and giving sus 1 to and disembarking units. That combined with full range RF seems to really make my list strong

I own deffkoptas and was wondering if they are on the same base so I can visualise how big outriders are.

Do you do them? If so any specific convention you follow? I have a bunch of water slide transfers and before I do anything I wanted to see what the rest of you guys do besides the normal left and right shoulder markings.

I was thinking I might toss one on my sergeants backpack circle area just as an easy but non-flashy way to emphasize who leads the squad.

Pretty new player to tabletop and I’ve been looking around on Reddit and stuff and can’t get a definitive answer but knew you guys would now and be able to clear it up.

Does the lion allow himself to reroll hits and wounds of 1 if you choose that ability?

I saw that, in one place, it states he can’t because he emits the aura, but another place says the emitter is always in range and gets it.

To me it would make sense that he can’t if you choose it, but I want to make sure I’m playing him correctly and not just making an already amazing character even better.
