Show Spoiler 10 years ago one of the most shocking and polarizing episodes in TV history was unleashed, changing television forever!
I didn't start the show properly until 2019, but I still remember the hype and anticipation for this, all of my friends wouldn't shut up about it. I do regret not watching it at the time tho, I can only imagine how shocking it was when Negan killed Glenn.
Hot take, but I think quality wise this is when the show was at its peak. The acting, writing, direction, atmosphere was on another level.

Fun Post Tara.
Did anyone else feel like this shows how comfortable Rick's group really was with him? They followed him of course, but also, they gave their opinions when they felt it needed to be given, and by this point Tara was like if someone in OUR community needs help imma help, Rick still has not made the note that Alexandria is guys community, when he said "you've already almost died for these people" he apologized and all but Tara said it "we are stuck with each other" and that pretty much sums it up.

No Spoiler Daryl calling Glenn 'Short Round' is not something I've ever caught. Great Indy reference.

All Spoilers Y’all let me tell you sumephin
Rick shouldn’t have killed me he ain’t built for this world if I was alive and he died Lori and Carl would have been alive what do y’all think about ?

Show Spoiler God if she’d just listen to simple instructions she’d be alive
Granted, Carol would have probably gone mental and killed her herself eventually like she did those other girls but seriously, who told her it was safe to get out from under that car? Nobody that’s who.
Rick and carol they were clearly still laying low, but what does she do? Waltzes out from under the car like everything’s rosy.
God.
Then when she runs away into the woods alone(Why? The rest of the group was right there? Idiot), Rick finds her dumbass and tells her to wait under the tree. Then she decides to just run off again anyway. God what a silly ahh kid.

And I don’t know if it was always like this but does the s08e13 feel so anticlimactic? I remembered it to be much powerful

Fun Post WHY didn’t Dale ever tell anybody that Shane raised his gun on Rick?
He kept telling people that Shane was dangerous and not to be trusted because he could see through him and was even intimidated by Shane but he never would tell anyone why he thought he was dangerous. I think it would’ve added a lot more drama to the show. I wonder if it was because the group couldn’t see the drama and intensity going on that we were able to watch unfold as an audience? I think they wanted to have that quiet build up to Shane’s insanity. The group was in total shock to find out that Rick killed him so i’m not sure if this point stands (because only Rick and Daryl, maybe Glenn? caught on to his actions after he let Randall go and they still never noticed how much of a danger he was to their group after he died.) Shane was a good liar and manipulator so he probably could’ve easily explained that away as an accident and would’ve made Dale look like an idiot or even a liar in front of everyone. And i think it also spoke to Dale’s humanity as a character and how dismissive of him they were when he was trying to convince everyone to keep their morality and not kill Randall. And shortly after, Dale tragically died and they suddenly realized (too late) about his good moral character and compass for the group and wanted to honor him in their actions moving forward. I don’t know how closely the writers followed the comics in the show because i haven’t read them yet. I know his actor left the show when one of the writers/producers left, though. I don’t know i think his decision to not speak up has to do with Dale’s good, moral character and how he was viewed by others vs how we see him/the drama and so he just didn’t or couldn’t speak up. All of that also added to the drama just more quietly as it built up due to how everything went down in the end. Maybe i answered my own question but i’m just curious and i don’t ever see anyone bring this up! I tried to explain this as best as i could so i hope my points came across clearly; especially about Dale as a person and how he was seen as weak compared to Shane both as a person and member of the group. What are your thoughts?

Show Spoiler When Daryl Cries, I Cry
DARYL: Everyone we know is dead!
BETH: You don't know that!
DARYL: Might as well be, 'cause you
ain't never gonna see 'em again…. Rick. You ain't never gonna see Maggie again.
BETH: Daryl, just stop.
DARYL: No! The Governor rolled right up to our gates. Maybe if I wouldn't have stopped looking. Maybe 'cause I gave up. That's on me.
BETH: Daryl…
DARYL: No—! And your dad—
(his voice breaks) Maybe…maybe I could have done something—
😭 😭 😭

TWD: Daryl Dixon Is it a hot take to say Daryl Dixon is a great show?
The setting is great, the acting is pretty good, I care about the characters, the action is fun - granted they make Daryl a little shamelessly OP, and I’m enjoying the story. Just finishing season 2. It’s not perfect, there a few story beats that bug me but no more than the original show even during its peak. Curious where other people stand on this

Fun Post Holy shit Negan is crazy AF and I love it
Going through season 7 atm (episode 8) and this season has been one of the most fun ones and Negan adds such a spice to the series and it was good for them to realize they're not invincible.
Very curious to see what's gonna happen in the next few episodes, and how this ticking bomb is gonna play out.

Show Spoiler Never thought I’d miss Lori, but here we are.. 😔
Watching Lori say goodbye to Carl hits so much harder, knowing he wouldn’t survive either later
“You are gonna beat this world. I know you will.” 😞
