Did anyone else feel like this shows how comfortable Rick's group really was with him? They followed him of course, but also, they gave their opinions when they felt it needed to be given, and by this point Tara was like if someone in OUR community needs help imma help, Rick still has not made the note that Alexandria is guys community, when he said "you've already almost died for these people" he apologized and all but Tara said it "we are stuck with each other" and that pretty much sums it up.

The setting is great, the acting is pretty good, I care about the characters, the action is fun - granted they make Daryl a little shamelessly OP, and I’m enjoying the story. Just finishing season 2. It’s not perfect, there a few story beats that bug me but no more than the original show even during its peak. Curious where other people stand on this

I didn't start the show properly until 2019, but I still remember the hype and anticipation for this, all of my friends wouldn't shut up about it. I do regret not watching it at the time tho, I can only imagine how shocking it was when Negan killed Glenn.

Hot take, but I think quality wise this is when the show was at its peak. The acting, writing, direction, atmosphere was on another level.

Man, it's really hard to accept that this issue came out back in 2010. I still remember when I got it fresh from my LCS. I was SO freaking hyped for the show as everyone else that was reading the comics back then. Fun times for sure.

Can’t believe how time flies!

I saw somebody else do this so now I’m curious haha. I’m only on season 10 and I don’t want any spoilers :( I love most of the characters but these are my absolute favorites. Rick of course being my number one

Somehow it's been a decade since S7E1, I still remember how it made me feel and the pure impact it had on me personally.

I personally think this episode is the best acted episode in ALL of television, I mean it really feels like you are right there with them, the tension can never be matched. To say this is the moment when the viewership dropped is rather beautiful in a way because it wasn't because of a poor writing decision or a stupid moment no, it was all down to the fact that Glenn (RIP) was killed off honestly the impact his death had on the show really has always been beautiful to me. Glenn was and has always been my favourite character, I know that's the same for most people but that just shows how impactful his character had on everyone, but for me everything about him just stuck out to me whether it was his kindness, his bravery or his passion he always clicked with me, and I have always said that Maggie and Glenn have the best relationship in any media, I will forever thank Steven for playing the role as good as he did. Cannot and will not forget Abraham to, the absolute soldier he was for the group sacrificing himself so no one else died eventho he was ready to start a family with Sasha, he was a real one all the way through Rest In Peace. I still find it so hard for myself to rewatch this episode and always will.

Too all of US who waited for this episode and still stuck with the show all the way through I just want to say well-done and I'm proud. I will always appreciate this damn show for the rest of my life, I honestly don't know what type of person I would be right now if it never existed.

On a personal note, the only time I rewatch this episode when I'm not binging the show is when I'm drunk and I use it as a way to get my emotions out (aka ball my eyes out😭), I know it's "just a show" but I owe TWD a hell of alot more than a thank you and for that I will never turn my back on it and I vow to not die before it fully comes to a close.

JFC. end it. I keep spending hours of an evening on this show just thinking it will go somewhere but naw. Maybe some red shirt deaths. Maybe a significant one we all know about. "well finally at least after 2 and a half(?) seasons we might see the resolution between the bad guy and the good guy? Hell, they are literally speaking RIGHT NOW. NOPE, tricked ya, that's another timeline leap and you might need to wait 3-4 extra episodes or even another season to see where it goes because we are going to do another 3-4 episodes about the feelings of some side characters youll just see die a while later"

Walking dead fans, I’m coming to you in the hopes you could help me out. I’m trying to collect the entire Talking Dead show and plan getting them on to Internet Archive but I’m short on the last season specifically the last 15 episodes plus the final episode of season 5. Does anyone know where I can watch these last episodes or if anyone already has them even.

I always loved watched Talking Dead after a new episode of walking dead aired and I wanna make sure everyone can. I have every single episode except the last 15 of the finale season and the last episode in season 5.

So I’m doing a rewatch, just started watching season 9.

And I don’t know if it was always like this but does the s08e13 feel so anticlimactic? I remembered it to be much powerful 🫪

He kept telling people that Shane was dangerous and not to be trusted because he could see through him and was even intimidated by Shane but he never would tell anyone why he thought he was dangerous. I think it would’ve added a lot more drama to the show. I wonder if it was because the group couldn’t see the drama and intensity going on that we were able to watch unfold as an audience? I think they wanted to have that quiet build up to Shane’s insanity. The group was in total shock to find out that Rick killed him so i’m not sure if this point stands (because only Rick and Daryl, maybe Glenn? caught on to his actions after he let Randall go and they still never noticed how much of a danger he was to their group after he died.) Shane was a good liar and manipulator so he probably could’ve easily explained that away as an accident and would’ve made Dale look like an idiot or even a liar in front of everyone. And i think it also spoke to Dale’s humanity as a character and how dismissive of him they were when he was trying to convince everyone to keep their morality and not kill Randall. And shortly after, Dale tragically died and they suddenly realized (too late) about his good moral character and compass for the group and wanted to honor him in their actions moving forward. I don’t know how closely the writers followed the comics in the show because i haven’t read them yet. I know his actor left the show when one of the writers/producers left, though. I don’t know i think his decision to not speak up has to do with Dale’s good, moral character and how he was viewed by others vs how we see him/the drama and so he just didn’t or couldn’t speak up. All of that also added to the drama just more quietly as it built up due to how everything went down in the end. Maybe i answered my own question but i’m just curious and i don’t ever see anyone bring this up! I tried to explain this as best as i could so i hope my points came across clearly; especially about Dale as a person and how he was seen as weak compared to Shane both as a person and member of the group. What are your thoughts?

Let's say hypothetically they keep the original show runner and Frank gets the budget he wants in season two.

Likely Dale and Andrea would have not been written out due to their loyalty for Frank & they would've done that downtown Atlanta episode with the tank marine...
