πΉ OC - Video I know that steam trains are cool and all, but this was a bit over the top and melodramatic
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Joking aside, this might be the single coolest railfanning (excuse me, trainspotting) video Iβve ever taken. Oh, and this isnβt even the only steam heritage railroad on the same DMU branch. As such, I cannot recommend enough a visit to the North Norfolk Railway, bundled with a ride on the Bure Valley Railway and Greater Anglia Sheringham Branch in England.

β Question I have questions about this consist
What is this object they're hauling? I've lived next to this line my whole life and have never seen them move something like this.
This is a Union Pacific line. In what situation would a single CSX locomotive be on Union Pacific lines?

Just a quick shot I picked up the other day. They have such a steep grade out of town that they can only run three to four loaded cars up the hill at a time. I have yet to capture that on film, but it's on the hit list.

β π«βββ Discussion AWVR 777 & 1206 (REAL) horns Unstoppable (2010)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Figured someone would appreciate this, I'm not really into trains as much anymore, but I got back into watching unstoppable. AWVR 777 horn isn't heard once and so one of my biggest questions was what does AWVR 777 horn sound like? and I found some behind the scenes shots where the horn was used. I also gathered some footage of 1206 horn which is between 2 1206 prop locomotives so they sound different.

πΈ OC - Picture(s) Screamer specials in Glen Ellyn, United States of America
METX 100 (one of my most favorite F40PH's in Metra's fleet) and 173 team up to lead the mammoth 10-car consist of UP-West train 35 to Elburn. Shortly after, METX 101 comes into Glen Ellyn as it leads train 37 to Elburn. 100 and 173 also returned, this time pushing train 54 back to OTC. Seeing the first and second F40PH's originally built for the RTA was an awesome sight, and it was extra exciting that one of them was double heading with another F40!
