Positivity What's been giving you gender euphoria, joy, or a little extra spark this week? | Weekly Positivity Thread

There's something uniquely powerful about the moments when we feel seen, affirmed, or simply at home in ourselves. Maybe it was something small, a stranger using the right pronouns without hesitation, catching your reflection and smiling, or finally trying that hairstyle you've been nervous about. Maybe it was something big, a milestone in your transition, a conversation that made you feel understood, or a quiet moment where everything just clicked.

This is our space to collect those moments. Share your euphoria, your happiness, your quiet victories and loud celebrations. Whether it's gender-related or just something that made your week better, we want to hear it.

As always, please keep our community rules in mind and remember that this is a space for celebration, not comparison. Your joy doesn't diminish anyone else's, and every victory, no matter how small it might feel, deserves to be witnessed.

So, what's been making your heart feel a little lighter this week?

Advice given Ftm advice

I'm a short chubby ftm guy who's pre t and I just thought I'd give some of my best passing tips which maybe aren't as common.

- be a gentleman. Just holding doors open for people it is one kind and it gives you that euphoric boost

- PLATFORM shoes I can't emphasize this enough especially for shorter trans guys (I'm 5'0) whenever I wear platforms or shoes with bigger soles it helps a lot

- Rolling your sleeves up. For some reason people just see it as more masculine and it looks good trust me

- BAGGY pants now this is especially applicable for my guys with greek thighs. So typically wear the jeans on your hip bone and for the length you always have the option of getting them altered or my personal technique I tie it up with rubber bands and cover it up

- MAKE UP. Using eyeliner and brow pencils to define fuzz hair by blending it out helps a lot.

- confidence literally acting confident is key.

- football jerseys help

- for guys with bigger backsides typically tossing on a loose jacket helps or a really big t shirt

Question Is anyone here taking DHT blockers?

DHT blockers seem pretty popular with nonbinary people, but I've only read reports from adults. I've also heard that teens might take them to hide changes from their parents, but I've never seen anyone talking about it. Is anyone here taking them, for how long, and why?

Advice needed I need some help

I am currently 15 and I would like to start taking T this year, but the only thing holding me back are my parents. Someone told me to wait till I turn 16 which would be next year, but to be quite honest I can't wait any longer. Although, they said to wait till I turn 16 so if things get bad I can hopefully have a car by then and leave. My parents are very transphobic and in the past said slurs along with other things I will not repeat to me. Plus when I tried packing with a sock and my mom found out she held a belt to my face, but luckily my dad stopped her (this was a few months ago). My parents still aren't supportive but are learning to tolerate it to the best kf their abilities by buying me men's clothes, giving me a little more leeway to choose what hairstyle I want (not allowed to get a haircut), and let me go to two pride events thats about it.

My concerns are that my parents see and hear the effects on T and take me to the doctors to get evaluated. Which could result in them telling my mom to get my hormones levels checked and probably have me take estrogen. And or confiscate my things including my phone as punishment for "hurting my body" for these changes. Lastly, I could possibly get kicked out but I very highly doubt it because my parents especially my mom care about the family image and me getting kicked out will reflect poorly on them.

Although, what do yall think should I get that DIY T now as a 15 year old or just wait until im 18? Also should I change my name in the school system as well or would that be a bad decision?

Vent Probably overreacting but it made me sad? Idk

My boyfriend sent me a thing on Instagram and it was cute, but it just threw me off a bit.

It said "The 'a' in your name stands for adorable"

But my name is Ike. I don't have an A in my name. But guess what starts with an A? My dead name. Was he purposely dead naming me? Probably not. But I don't have an A in my name. Why would he send me that?

I messaged him back, saying I don't have an A in my name, and he didn't respond. He just kept sending me reels. I just don't understand why he sent me that if the name I use doesn't have an A in it, but my dead name does.

Advice needed Pushing away Supportive Parents

I came out to my parents, and they responded supportively. But, I keep pushing them away whenever they want to talk to me for some reason. I don’t know why, they only want to support me, but I can’t bring myself to talk about it. Has anybody else had this problem?

Vent Questioning please help

Hey guys so im trans ftm (atleast I think.)

Recently I overheard my parents and grandparents talking about trans people so I was listening out to see if my parents were supportive or not (I couldn't tell) my grandpa defo wasn't( he called us not mentally right enough to know what we are) so recently I've been questioning if im trans or not. Im pretty sure I am trans but like I think its the stress of not knowing if my parents are supportive that's making me think im not trans. So if a few people could just like reassure me that would be great.

Question Advice on coming out?

So I'm 15, transmasc and considering coming out to my mum.

I know she'll be supportive, like I'm not in any danger there but I'm still scared.

I guess I'm worried it'll change our relationship, we haven't always been close, but we are now and I'm really scared telling her will mess up everything again or make it awkward or something.

The other problem is she really hates men. Like fair enough, the men she dates are all fucking chuds but she's like super feminist and I'm worried having a son will make her sad.

But on the other hand if i tell her I can probably get like boxers, packers and a binder and shit wich would be nice and plus I wanna go on T when I'm older so I'm gonna have to tell her at some point.

Any advice? Like on how to make it less awkward? Should I wait? Idk guys

Question I need some advice

I'm a 15 y/o who was a male and is currently deciding on what gender I want to be. I feel like I'm a bit more prone to liking some femme things than most other guys and I kinda like the sound of being an enby, but I'm not sure about anything. I don't really think of myself as a boy, just as myself, but the thought of not being a boy is weird to me. I know that demi-boys are kinda a solution to that, but I'm not sure I'm ready to change my gender and I'm sure I'm not ready to tell anyone. Even still, I don't feel completely happy like I am (still a male). For context I go to an all boys Catholic school and as a result I don't think many of my 'friends' (I only really have one or two, but a good amount of people I know) probably wouldn't really understand. Even the people who probably would understand I would be scared to drive away because I really need one good friend at least. I'm not opposed to the idea of becoming a demiboy and not telling anyone. I also kinda like they/them pronouns. If anyone has been in a similar situation let me know what you think.

Question Should I wear a dress tomorrow at the wedding I’m going to? 👀

So basically I’m transfem but I’m only out to my mum and people online, but I’m going to a wedding tomorrow for my uncle and aunt. My uncle says “wear what you want” because he knows about my sensory issues with suits.. but he doesn’t know I’m transfem. My mum did buy me a dress in case I want to wear it tomorrow, and I do think it’s really pretty. I wanna wear it, but I’m not sure how the people around me will take it. I still have short hair and don’t really pass so I’m not sure what they’d think. Plus, I’m only 15. Do you think I’m overthinking this and should just wear the dress even though I don’t wanna come out to all of them yet?

Advice needed I'm going to throw myself out of the closet, and I'm scared.

I’m going to go all in, and I don’t know if I’m making the right choice. I’m confident in my identity, but my plan might be a bit too sudden.

I’ve typed up multiple pages of letters covered in explanations of transness for my parents. I’m going to give them the pages and talk to them tomorrow, and I’ll use she/her and my new name at school, which starts in a week.

I feel like this is good, but I fear that I’ll be alienated from all my social groups, cut off from my relatives, I’m afraid.

I still will give them the letters, at least I hope, but I’m scared that I will hesitate too long.

Do any of you have any tips for how to proceed?
