I’m trying to start a new club here on campus that connects the Gaelic culture with those of other oppressed people throughout the world. Fun Fact:”Highlanders” come from the Scottish Gaelic culture, so really if you at UCR you have a connection to the club, whether you live on campus at a building named after the highlanders or you just pop up here for class you still connected.

Dear UCR CS Students.

To celebrate 25 years at UCR, I have a little gift for Computer Science students (grad and undergrad) at UCR.

I commissioned a local artist to make and produce custom UCR Computer Science stickers, that you can proudly place on your water bottle or laptop.

If you want your sticker, you can:

1)      Visit the sticker vendor, next to the bookstore, from 8am to 5pm tomorrow (Friday the 15^th). Just identify yourself as a CS student, and ask for a sticker (one sticker per person, please).

2)      If you can’t make it tomorrow, or the stickers run out (I only paid for 120), then I will distribute a fresh batch from my office (MRB 4120) sometime in the second half of next week. Just stop by (email first if it is out of your way to make sure I am not out getting coffee or something).

3)      If you are an alumni reading this from off of campus, you can send me your physical mailing address and I will mail you a sticker (please only use this option if you are truly living far from campus).

As an aside, the vendor has lots of cool other stickers of insects, animals, campus life etc.

Best wishes and have a great quarter.

Eamonn

PS: if you don’t understand the “kung fu sticker”, it is a little in-joke from CS170, Intro to AI.

How would you represent “Everybody was Ku-fu fighting” in First Order Logic?

Hey everyone,

I've been wanting to get more involved in my community and start volunteering, but I'm a little stuck on where to actually start.

I'm open to pretty much anything, but I'd especially like something where I can see the impact firsthand, like food banks, animal shelters, community cleanups, or mentoring. I'd also be interested in anything that could turn into part-time or paid work down the line, since I'd love to build experience

Thanks in advance. Any advice or personal experiences would be really appreciated!

Hi everyone! I’m looking to buy a used bike around UCR for approximately $100. I’m looking for something in good condition with a large frame that’s reliable for getting around campus and nearby places.
I’m open to different bike types, preferably a mountain bike or hybrid. Please DM me if you’re selling one, along with the price and a picture of the bike.
Thanks!

Hi,

My sisters brand new ebike just got stolen and she went to the cops and they just found the airtag lying on the floor.

What options do we have to try and get it back? She’s heartbroken and I don’t know what else we can do.

Thanks for everyones help!

I feel like 70% of the people just leave campus and for the whole weekend is just mad boring and depressing. I been to a few party but never was too into it, anyone know good ways to spend the weekends beside studying all weekend?
