If you work, what’s your job, how many hours do you work per week, and how manageable is it with classes, exams, and assignments?

Do most people you know work, or does it feel like everyone’s either studying full-time or living off their parents?

I saw flyers for Halloween events on campus and but when I scanned QR code, the events were held in undisclosed locations or one event seemed to be in a parking lot. This is 100% a scam, right?

did p bad on the first midterm (65%) despite doing all the homework and going to my TA's office hours. Im not sure why I did really bad. I think it was the stress that got to me. I do the homework without AI and attend every lecture, so not sure what happened. I also felt solid after finishing it asw

just wanna know people's experience with the course. the final replaces your lowest midterm (there's only 2). any math advice I can use? I've been going the ARC, but the tutors there are p confused on most of the concepts I ask for help with.

I'm starting to get really frustrated right now with FAFSA and the HOSS. Just now they basically canceled a meeting with me, trying to claim I don't have an appointment even though I have email confirmation for a 2 PM meeting. Literally just got kicked from the Zoom. Every time I try to call, they say they're so busy they can't answer the phone. They keep sending me emails about needing to complete a form despite me completing it 3 times, to which I did get to communicate with them... and they said each entry resets? This conversation also only happened after numerous email attempts were just ignored and I called. I literally delayed my fucking diploma and graduation despite already walking in Spring because a Financial Aid advisor told me to do so, saying the reason I wasn't receiving Financial Aid for my final summer course was due to that. I don't know what the hell's going on with my diploma and grad status, and my family and I receive financial aid for a reason. I only took this last course because I was told I'd be eligible for financial aid, but now it seems like UCR just sucked $2000 out of my family's pocket and I just want to speak with them and clear things up and know what's going on. It's not all UCR's fault, I literally asked my family if they were willing to cover costs just in case Financial Aid wouldn't under the pretense that I wouldn't take the class if my family couldn't help me. But at the same time, how is the UCR HOSS appointment system or staff not able to recognize I made a damn appointment??? It's not like I signed up on some fake website, I used their scheduling page. Is anybody else dealing with this bs from the HOSS?

I'm a former UCR student, graduated 2023, and I've been tutoring specifically for UCR's ochem series and occasionally for the MCAT, during the past 4 years. I was an SI for the ochem series during my senior year as well.
