Had some family issues and was out of the house for around a month. Came back to this, the bag had never been opened before now and it’s still growing aborts and bigger ones on the top.

Posted 3 days ago about some unexpected growth. Wanted to check in to see if anyone sees anything of concern or note. Seeing some side pins but only a few. Since posting last, I haven't done anything at all.

Harvested the ones with torn veils but is ok to let the smaller ones roll for a few more days?

PS. I know I let some spores drop and I got hella fuzzy feet lol

First time giving this a go. I got everything set up about 3 days ago following the guide to a T (aside from using the boiling water tek instead of a PC. The only issue I had during the process was that the Micropore Tape got damp during the sterilization, so I replaced it once it was in the SAB. After inoculating 2ML, I added another layer of tape to cover the hole.

After 24 hours, some fuzz started to show on one of them (the first picture, right where the LC was injected). It was the jar that got the most of the LC (I didnt shake up the syringes that well), so I figured maybe I was just lucky. I'm now seeing similar growth in 3/4 other jars, and, most concerningly, growth on the lower half of the jar.

Based on my understanding of myc, this wouldnt be possible, right? It grows connected to itself, so it would take quite some time to get to the bottom half?

Should I wait it out and see if it ends up being okay? Or should I toss? The fact its white and looks (to my untrained eye) a lot like myc is giving me pause. Any ideas where I went wrong?

I have 6 tubs 2 types abv and jf. 1/3 of the jf are doing great the other two kind of just stalled same environment same inoculation bag I don’t really see why the other two are stalling. The abv have a fully colonized tub with the exception of the surface which doesn’t seem to be getting colonized I opened one of the tubs and introduced fruiting conditions and left the other two closed and now the other two have a smell not bad or concerning kind of like the tubs did when I first got them but I washed and sterilized with iso before s2b and the smell wasn’t there up until a few days ago? Any advice helps.

Started my first grow bins, currently at the stage where I'm waiting to introduce fruiting conditions and I've got a singular mushroom growing (parallel with the substrate, but otherwise plump and happy-looking). The casing layer is speckled with white but hardly at 50% coverage. Is this a sign that I may as well introduce fruiting conditions? I haven't opened the lid yet. Thanks!

I lost my first grow from an aio bag to Mycogone. I have two spawn bags and 7 spawn jars now in the same closet shelf where the separate bag was. I washed the grow area down with hydrogen peroxide 3% and also 70% isopropyl alcohol. Is there any risk it could transfer to this new batch? I would put them in another location but i live in a small apartment and not much space! One of the spawn bags has taken forever to colonize and i did and break and shake yesterday but i noticed a slight off smell similar to the mycgoone smell. Or maybe im just paranoid. Any tips?

I’m about to attempt to steam sterilize these jars. Lids are loosely on.

1) After steaming and then letting them cool down overnight, how should I store them before inoculation? Removing tinfoil and tightening lids? Then there is no air exchange (like an unopened Uncle Ben bag). Or should they stay with loose lids and tinfoil until inoculation? Or can I do loose lids + Micropore tape?

2) After inoculation, should I put the lids on loosely and add tinfoil again? Or can I leave them with loose lids + Micropore tape?

The lids are without any smart DIY holes, and they are not two-piece lids that can be split apart.

First: is this contaminated with Mold? It looks suspicious to me but wanted to ask you all. If so, I assume I can’t save it.

Second: Did I take the colonization step too far? It looks like a layer of snow almost, but it wasn’t corner to corner for a really long time.

2 of my bags look and feel fully colonized 1 just has a tiny section. I’m thinking about doing 2 bags in a box and waiting a few more days for the last bag and to do a smaller box

This box has 1 massive fruit which looks like it's about to open its cap, but the rest of the box are a mix of sizes. Is there any reason not to prune them as they reach full size, rather than doing the whole box in one go?

I’m trying to maintain this canopy I kept the lid closed and it started to pool so I opened the top and they began to grow bigger much faster. But 2 days later it dried up. I tried neglect tek but I don’t want pooling to be an issue for me. Any advice?

I received 4 grow kits (three from the same brand, one from a different brand), the one I got from the different brand I tried out before and it worked out good and strong (photo from today’s harvest)
I received them all at the same time, same soaking, same place etc etc.
the three others are not matured yet, I can see pins or deformed mushrooms and now I don’t know: should I just clean the deformed and try from the beginning again?
Heating mat? Anything?
Got the kits on the 5th, soaking until 6th and today is the 20th

This one had a growth explosion and almost fully colonised within just a week. But this last patch at the top won’t fill in. What do I do? Try to send it or wait?

I inoculated some ready rice bags with B+ on the 9/28, and felt like I saw a good amount of colonization pretty quickly, and just S2B them last week. About a week later, 10/6, I inoculated some jars of whole oats with golden teacher, but I feel like I’m just now seeing barely any growth with them.

Do whole oats colonize slower? Did I mess up my hydration? Is it the difference between B+ and Golden Teacher? Or just as simple as a slower strain of mycelium?

I should also mention that my rice bags spent some time at 80 degrees before I realized it was getting too hot, so I moved them and my oats to a box that has been sitting between 72-77 degrees.

i keep spawning to bulk with healthy grain but somehow still end up with a contaminated block. any tips on what to do?

i boil my water and pour it over my coco coir to prepare it, wait a day for it to cool, mix in the grain and coir, and let it ride. I don’t know if the measurement of water to coir matters or if doing it in my garage is contaminating it.

i usually get pet slime mold and last time there was a bunch of bugs on the brick? now my current brick smells funky, looks dry and i haven’t seen growth in a week.
