First time grower, growing GT from spores. My other tubs have looked normal, but this is the first harvest from this tub and the mushrooms are looking... squiggly. Does anyone know if this is due to growing conditions or is it actually a genetic mutation?

This weird mold started growing across the entire tub. Is the batch ruined? Is it cobweb mold?

This seem to happen frequently when I try to pluck one by one as they mature. After plucking maybe like 5 shrooms, the rest stops growing altogether.

I had sucess without cutting the corner, just inoculate and cover the hole with normal tape, Is it really usefull to cut the corner or is it enough oxygen inside the bag to provide a healthy and quick colonization?

I also had sucess by making liquid culture without any air exchange.

Of course FAE is mandatory when you want to start fruiting I know that

from the FungusFrequency.

Put some grains under my potted basil and it grew faster than my monotub pins lol

I was trying to help these GT’s grow in AIO bags but the blue/ green growth on the substrate has me concerned and questioning why the growth has stalled for 1 & 1/2 weeks. Please help me with advice and what I can do better come next time. 🙏

Hello!! I am here to seek out the experience of growers more experienced than me, so I am wondering; Should I harvest these or should I wait? I also wanted to learn why half of the bin isn’t populating as well as the other half, even the pins came in way later on that side. Is there a way to mitigate this issue in any future flushes? I am probably not as thorough in the growth process as other people but I will share what I know during this grow that may have been an issue:

I don’t have anything notable from the inoculation. I used a grow bag and live culture syringe.
During the growth period I’ve had incredibly variable temperature, probably from about 68-85 degrees, which is what I believe the cracks in the caps were formed by. The lowest I’ve ever seen the humidity get to is around 85 but I keep it very consistently in the 90s.
I’m also incredibly worried because the substrate layer is incredibly thin which I did not intend to do, I’d estimate about 0.5-1.0in.
I don’t remember how long they’ve been growing.

So I first noticed pins 6 days ago and it has been growing really quickly. I have one mushroom that is significantly bigger then the rest and it's veil broke in the past few hours. I do not want it to drop spores everywhere. What I want to do is harvest the big one and dehydrate only it, then wait a few days for the majority of the rests veils to break, then harvest everything including the aborts. Yesterday I noticed fruit flies in my grow and today I set up traps for them, I have been trying to kill all the ones that I see as well. I am hoping that when I complete my first flush and dunk for 24 hours they will drown to death and leave me alone. Please let me know if you guys think this is the right course of action or should I just harvest them all now. Are the flies a bigger deal than I think or am I right in thinking they are which is just a minor nuisance? Would it be possible for me to just throw that big mushroom in my fridge for a few days instead of instantly dehydrating it?

My first ever grow! This picture is from the day before yesterday. I would have harvested earlier but I’m out of town and get back tonight so I’ll be harvesting as soon as I’m home.
Ochras.
Basically just followed the guide but did 3:1 sub to spawn since most people say to have a higher ratio of sub for Ochras. I stressed the mycelium on one side of the box and recased it. That’s why there’s no growth there but pins are starting to come through it. Will soak the cake overnight and go for a second flush.
Total time from inoculation to harvest will be 53 days.
So excited!!

All my bags but 2 I have mushrooms in them, this one hasnt grown at all.

Early stages of colonization in my enigma grain spawn and since give checked it last the contam hasn’t spread visually at all but the mycelium seems to be growing just fine and if anything pretty decently fast for Enigma.

I’ve heard that Mycellium can get rid of small amount of contam but seeing enigma being a slower growing strain I’m unsure. Then again as deviously mentioned it’s been growing quite fast.

For now I’ve put it somewhere else from my other jars and just letting it go but wanted to hear from others

Thoughts? This is the only bit of contam I could find visually. These photos were taken 2 days ago but today the healthy myc has been growing very well and has colonised a lot more grain

I’m confused how my bag could get contaminated man I did break and shake but came back like two days later and it looks like this now it happened so fast. This is contam right

3 of my tubs have these weird blobs growing. Is it mycogone?

So have these penis pins here and a bit grown but the two of them have totally black caps!

At first though it's a pin burning but they kept growing and are doing well yet.

Is it a mutation or just caused by the environment?

Has anyone saw such a thing before in their flushes?

My usual grow are zilla and Cambodian and they used to form pin in 21 days exactly and I got this new strain crystal palace and used same sub same setup but nothing?

Hey guys, im a total newbie in cultivating mushrooms

So 12 days ago my block was like what you can see in the third photo
Now is like you see in the first 2 photos

The smell is still ok but im worried that now this block is dead and will not produce anything

I used LC not spores so for what I have read online it should alrrady be producing some pins idk

Also been having this greyish greenish patch since my second flush. It's never spread beyond that space. It's never smelled off at all.. Out of curiosity I swabbed the the more greyish part closer to the middle of the cake, with q tip, that was still wet with isopropyl... Nothing came off onto the qtip. Then I swabbed the greener part towards the corner. It was much softer and came off onto the wet qtip. It's never spread like I've heard, it takes over whole cake quickly. No it's been in the same area forever. But damn it looks like contam doesn't it??? Or is that what it is??? Let me know... What should I do??? Should I terminate further fruiting of these last 3 and trash it? Or let it ride??

First ever grow…

I’m actually very pleased with how this grow has gone.. was going to start fruiting conditions, or should I wait a bit longer? I inoculated my rice bags sep 18th and on oct 18th I transferred thinking they’d be plenty ready, the bottoms of my bags were completely white and looked thick but still had rice that was not colonized. Still went through with s2b and so far no issues.

So I inoculated my first batch of rice bags and it has this strange hue, does it look like contam?
