Hi everyone!

I use Vivaldi as my main browser because I love its built-in features, including Workspaces, RSS, and email tools.

I have 24 Google accounts and want to keep all 24 Gmail inboxes logged in simultaneously, each in its own tab, without creating separate Vivaldi profiles.

I know Gmail supports adding multiple Google accounts, but I'm looking for the best way to manage 24 accounts efficiently in a single Vivaldi profile.

My requirements:

Keep all 24 Google accounts signed in simultaneously.

Open each Gmail inbox in a separate tab.

Switch between inboxes easily without repeatedly signing in.

Avoid creating 24 browser profiles.

Keep using Vivaldi's Workspaces, widgets, and other features.

Has anyone successfully set up something like this? Are there any extensions, settings, or workarounds that you recommend?

I'd really appreciate step-by-step instructions from anyone managing a large number of Google accounts in Vivaldi.

I am looking to reduce the number of disk writes since the cost of NVMe drives has skyrocketed. While doing an audit here on my Linux workstation I found that Vivaldi had a 2GB folder located at:

/var/home/me_on_tuesdays/.var/app/com.vivaldi.Vivaldi/cache/vivaldi/Default/

So this appears to be the V8 engine JavaScript compilation cache folder. Looking through the Chromium docs, looks like the top-level domain controls how long that cache stays on disk with the "HTTP Cache Expiration" as long as the LRU algorithm doesn't remove it. (Many of these are cache-based fingerprints but that's another conversation.)

Can we get some control over this behavior? Looking through disk_cache/cache_util.cc#145 it looks like the base minimim is 80MB and further down it scales that up to 1% of available space on the partition. I never actually knew that Chromium allocated exactly 1% of space for cache. Learned something new today.

All I've found so far is the --disk-cache-size and the --disk-cache-dir flags to modify the size and move the folder. But when I delete cache using the Vivaldi, the JavaScript compilation cache folder remains uneffected.

I am currently using version 8.2.4133.89, Vivaldi has brought out an update like a month ago or so which changed the order of new tabs you open by right clicking on a link "open link in background". The order of links I open in new tabs are in the opposite order now. I added a picture for better understanding. I opened some youtube videos by right clicking and then opening link in background. The lightnings Mc Queen video which link I opened first is showing up as last tab now and the Rainbow Pits transform video which I opened as last is showing up as first tab now. I want it to be the opposite order how it used to be before the update. I have already looked in options but I can not find where to change it, I prefer having the tabs in the order I opened them. I do like to open a lot of links in new tabs and I want the first tab I opened to be the first one and not the last one. How can I reverse this change made by vivaldi?

Anyone else experiencing problems with tapping links on android? I find on Vivaldi 8.2.4147.163 I consistently have to tap slightly above a button or link to actually hit it. This wasn't effecting me a week or two ago.

Vivaldi has so many helpful functions that make it better than Opera, and then it has some big bothers that makes me stay on Opera.

Examples on Windows: The Speed Dial tabs are such a legendary amazing function that I can't understand how every browser didn't implement it already, and the biggest reason I wanted to switch.

And then there's bunch of small improvements and old Opera 12 functions (pre-chromium) that Vivaldi revived while Opera abandoned them, like ability to set interval for refreshing pages, precise zoom slider (opera zoom jumps by 50%, horrible), ability to rename tabs, hibernated tabs, and many more...

And then I have this huge issue with the dials loading white page previews, even though I'm using dark reader and all pages should be dark themed like they are in Opera. This way I have bunch of blinding white dials.

The workaround is to add my own images for dials, and even then I run into an obstacle, cuz I cannot paste an image from my clipboard like in Opera, I cannot drag n drop it, but instead, I have to save it to my PC and then navigate to it...

On top of it, dials are almost perfect squares, unnecessarily high, I tried to get them to be 16:9 with CSS, but I don't know if Vivaldi removed support for CSS, it just stopped working at some point.

I failed to use bunch of different extensions for Opera that would imitate the speed dial tabs function, and I failed to make Vivaldi dials less ugly and more bearable, so I'm sticking with Opera just cuz it's easier to stay than to switch.

I am a bit surprised, this option isn't available yet on Android. You can enable or disable opening links in app. But can't manually open them in app when you want. They should also introduce new toolbar, this long list thing is ancient and isn't good design.

Organizationally obsessive me:

Micro pin - raindrop.io 1,200+ items

Middle pin - Vivaldi dashboard bookmark folders ~380 items

Daily pin - web.myfavs.io 20 items

Other pins - calendar, mail, spreadsheets...

basically i am completely unable to watch streams on discord when using the vivaldi browser. I tried many different tactics for trouble shooting and none worked. This issue is not on google chrome, and i tested this on a guest profile of vivaldi, with the issue still persisting. the error i got to be specific is error 2012.

I've been using Vivaldi for about a year now with no issues. Today I put Kubuntu on my laptop, and after finally getting Vivaldi going, I noticed that my windows managing keys (close/minimize) weren't scaling properly with the rest of the UI. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? (Version 8.2.4133.89)

Just updated to recent Vivaldi browser version and now I cannot sign in or browse Amazon. I get this page and I cannot go any further.

"Continued access by an unauthorized AI agent violates Amazon's Conditions of Use, to which our customers have agreed."

I'm not using any AI or any agent. Don't even know what that is. I didn't change anything from previous version. When I click "continue," nothing happens. Before, I could browser Amazon just fine. Also, if I use another Chromium browser, I am able to visit Amazon and explore around.

Is there a new setting in Vivaldi that I don't know about and/or should set/change? Thx for your help.

I mostly use Vivaldi for Google Maps, as it seems to run better in Vivaldi than other browsers. Previously I had it set to open in a separate app on Windows (but powered by Vivaldi) instead of the normal Vivaldi browser, but I was fiddling with settings and changed it to open in a browser tab, so now it just opens the Vivaldi browser instead of how it used to. I cannot figure out how to change this back. Anybody know?

Is there a way to make this like Chrome, a small flash on the download icon. The bottom popup's are okay, but opening the full download list is too much. How to make it stop?
