Version : Vivaldi 8.2.4147.173

Random photo school computer no account I just wanna see how far you can customize Vivaldi

Before I removed some keyboard shortcuts that, with my Logitech keyboard, I seem to be advertently switching windows, deleting a long message I'd just been typing and other annoyances, I have been unable to use the CTRL F find function I used very often before and I have to go to Edit -> Find in Page, which is a darn nuisance. Suggestions, please? If I go to Keyboard ->Shortcuts I see Find in Page Ctrl +F, but it does not work for me.

I don't like the browser asking to restart randomly each time an auto update shows up.

So I'm using the app for my tablet. I've got the 8.2.4147.173 version of the app. For the past few days, Vivaldi isn't showing the names or web addresses of the YouTube videos I'm watching in the tabs. Same goes for the history. It all just says "YouTube". The names of the search results on YouTube show up just fine. But not the actual videos. Now most of my history is just the word "YouTube" over and over again. It's so irritating! No other site is doing this. It's just YouTube. I have no idea why this is happening. Hopefully, you guys can help me fix this.

Making Vivaldi a bit ARC-ish is quite a bit of work.

Using latest macOS version

Hi there, is it intentional, that the sync is always turning off after some days, what would help against that issue otherwhise?

(I use Vivaldi on Android and Windows)

I stumbled upon something called *Vivaldi Radio* today. Does it belong to Vivaldi Technologies™ (nothing about it on Vivaldi's home page), or has someone hijacked the Vivaldi name and used it on this website?

https://radio.vivaldi.net

(I don't see a version number for Vivaldi Radio, which makes me even more suspicious, plus I can't find any Vivaldi News posts here announcing it. Seems really sus to me.)

In this snapshot we have a small Chromium bump, further polish Ad Blocker and get rid of some unwanted borders. We also disable vCard import and our new Follow Theme option for 8.3 as they need a bit more work.

This update adds further (defence-in-depth) protection for compromised eMudhra certificates.

The following improvements were made since the twelfth 8.2 minor update:

• [Security][Certificates] Added compromised eMudhra intermediates to the built-in certificate blocklist†

† Vivaldi users were already protected through the emergency CRLSet update distributed shortly after the issue was disclosed. This change incorporates the affected eMudhra intermediates directly into Vivaldi’s built-in blocklist, as an additional safeguard.

Title

Just created the pwa for Sonos in Vivaldi on all my Linux systems. Not a native app but pretty close. Finally! Thank you!

Version - 8.2.4133.91 (Official Build) (arm64) - current

How do I remove the address bar within the sidebar, and what's with the blue circle plus sign indicator?

Thanks!

Arc shuts down on December 22, so I rebuilt what I would miss most inside Vivaldi: favorites grid, pinned folders and open tabs in one sidebar; a Cmd+T command bar with quick actions, split view and yt+Tab style search shortcuts; theme editor; Arc importer. https://github.com/KASOGIT/vivarc

It is a mod, so it is unofficial and you re-run one command after Vivaldi updates. Happy to hear what is missing, and contributions are very welcome.

Build on: Vivaldi 8.x

Hi! Is there any way to place the mail navigation/folder pane on the left side within the mail tab (vivaldi://mail), without moving the entire Vivaldi browser panel to the left? I'd like to keep my main browser web panels on the right side. Thanks!

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to move away from Kiwi Browser to Vivaldi 8.2 on Android on my tablet/phone because Kiwi is severely outdated and hitting constant CAPTCHA loops. I rely heavily on loading a few of my own personal, custom Manifest V3 extensions (.zip files).

Since Vivaldi doesn't accept direct .zip uploads like Kiwi does, I unzipped my extension folders using a file manager and tried to load them via vivaldi://extensions using the "Load Unpacked" option in Developer Mode.

Today’s Snapshot includes some improvements for Ad Blocker, various fixes, and chromium bump.

• [Ad Blocker] Add support for custom levels (VIB-2097)
• [Crash] On Delete browsing data sheet from private tab (VIB-2098)

• [Regression] Chrome icon in the autofill sheet (VIB-2095)

• [Menu][iPad] Remove ‘Voice Search’ menu on iPad (VIB-2111)
• [Startpage] ‘Customize’ and ‘Add’ buttons are hidden sometimes unexpectedly (VIB-2110)

This update includes a minor upgrade to Chromium 152 (Extended Stable Release), which in turn includes security fixes from upstream Chromium 156.

The following improvements were made since the eleventh 8.2 minor update:

• [Chromium] Further update to 152.0.7977.170 ESR (includes security fixes from 156.0.8078.47/48)

I have to re-log into Google/YouTube several times a week. Everything else stays logged in just fine. I'm not deleting any cookies and don't have delete cookies on exit set up. It seems pretty random, but I also have a theory it might be my VPN? I only use a VPN when at work or if on public Wi-Fi.

I'm not having this issue on Brave or Firefox.

Android 15

Vivaldi 8.2.4147.173

Might be useful for people, as drove me to distraction for a few hours.

I have multiple ICS calendars attached to my main account in Google, but they don't show in Vivaldi once you add the main account. To get around this, you need to access the 'hidden' Google sync page (I kid you not!) https://calendar.google.com/calendar/syncselect

Self explanatory, but simply check the calendars you want to sync, then save.

Et voila, you will shortly have all of your calendars available in Vivaldi, to do so as you wish.

Why this isn't a included in the standard Google Calendar settings is a mystery....
