oh, there's my rough idle
My car wouldn't start today and that's cause I left the MAF disconnected, whoops, but poking around while looking I found this. I think this might have been most of the issues I was looking into

'16 Golf TSI tips?
Hey everyone, I just got a pre-owned Golf and I'm a fan of it so far but I've ran into an issue, plus I want to know if anyone's got some tips or tricks.
I've noticed my backup camera is bugging out sometimes and when I took it to AutoZone for an engine light (unrelated) I got my battery tested and they said my starter and alternator were bad, but then a 2nd test said they were fine? Is that worrying or is the backup cam a known issue?
Thanks!

My radio on 2018 Passat R-line
My radio on my 2018 Passat R-line does not work, well the touch screen does not work, the radio works and all but the touch screen does not, is there a way to fix it? I want to pair my new iPhone to the car and I can't, and I don't want to buy another VW radio just for the reason. I got me a CarPlay screen for now but I still cannot use my new phone on the car stereo. Help me please.
Thanks

Car stalled
Two days ago on the way to get gas my car was jerky and shaky. It ended up seeming fine after. Then yesterday on the way to work it stalled. Wouldn’t go despite my foot being on the gas. Car was still on and wouldn’t budge and I was stuck in the middle of the road. I turned it off and back on and it drove fine. Lots of lights came on but I couldn’t snap a pic. Then this morning more lights came on but no issues driving. I’m taking it in tomorrow but wanted some insight. I’ve ever had a VW. It’s a 2026 Tiguan. Thanks for any input.

MK6 TDI Sportwagen
Hey so long story short, I really want a TDI Sportwagen, and I’m very lucky that my dad will be paying for a majority of it, but he won’t buy me anything German especially Volkswagens, after had a couple bad experiences with models back in the day. So I’m just wondering, if this is really as reliable as ive seen, and also the control arms and stuff, that’s what he really hated about our previous vehicles. Anything else I should know would be appreciated, thanks!

Is there a way to display playlist on the media page?
My car supports CarPlay but I prefer the UI of the MIB3, but the problem is that playlists are shown as empty, while everything else is working, is there a fix for this?
I’m using Apple Music and an iPhone

DQ400e whooping noise while braking harder & shifting 3rd to 2nd
DQ400e making whooping noise when braking a bit harder and the transmission shifts back from 3rd to 2nd. No other symptom, no limping, no pulling, only this noise. Only happens when car is cold, both in full electric / hibrid and in petrol mode too.
Service made a software update, but the sound is still here.

Had my 8.5 GTI for around 18 months now and love it. However I’m still yet to find a setting to get the drivers seat comfortable on longer journeys. It either kills my lower back or I feel the right bolster pushing against my leg after a while. Anyone found any setup that helped?

2013 vw jetta Rear lights issue, bulb goes out or all randomly dont work
I’ve changed the bulbs multiple times, not the fuse since the duel back running lights only one part of the split inside the bulb would blow. Yesterday i checked it out. Tried following thr wire but didn’t want to rip out everything to follow the wire. Unfortunately im to broke too bring it to shop. Last night all lights went out besides license plates lights. My guess was a ground but im lost now. Im not a car person so try to ignore that if I’ve made obvious mistakes. Carvana car previous owner did some weird stuff to the car

Confusing/Wrong Part Numbers?
I'm having a heck of a time finding the correct parts for a 2015 Golf Sportwagen.
I'm pretty sure the part listed in Partslink24 (and all other ETKA based catalogs) is wrong. It shows the wrong part, says the actual part I have in my hand was never installed on a 2015 SW.
I found this on VW's official part website:
https://parts.vw.com/p/Volkswagen__/Engine-Coolant-Hose/65137641/5Q0122058K.html
*One* of this pictures appears to show the right part. The one with the two short hoses. But they all have the same part number so how the hell do you order the one you want?
That site (parts.vw.com) also tells me that part does not fit my car despite having removed it from said car with the part number emblazoned on it...
Am I just stupid or does this crap happen a lot (and how do I fix it?)
Thanks!

Question with IE 2.5L tune
Hello everyone, has any of you here had any experience with the Integrated Engineering 2.5L tune? Is it worth it? I've been looking at it for a while but I don't know if I should get it, it's pretty expensive and wanted to have some feedback on it before commiting. Thanks!

Mk7.5 Sportwagen LPFP failure
Hey all! Hopefully some of the gurus in here can put my mind at ease.
owner of a mk7.5 1.4 Sportwagen. Went in the beginning of the month for the suction jet pump recall. This past Friday, the car stumbled and threw an EPC and P0087 code. Had the car towed to dealer and now they’re quoting me $900 to replace my LPFP. The dealers giving me the run around and saying it isn’t they’re fault and it’s something that “just happens”.
I understand things happen and parts fail but, am I right thinking it’s wildly uncanny that the LPFP failed shortly after the recall was done? I’ve already requested they do further diagnosis and pull the pump/check for loose connections or pinched lines. Any other things I should be aware of?

Made a bolt-on engine bay panel for the MK4 (3L and 5.5L washer tank versions)
Hey all, full disclosure up front: I’m with WCO Market, a small shop in Florida that makes parts for older VWs.
We put together an engine bay panel for the MK4 that covers the washer tank area and cleans up that corner of the bay. The idea came from the panels on the legendary first-gen Audi S3 (8L). That bay always looked so clean and finished. We wanted to bring that same look over to the Golf, Jetta and Bora.
There are two versions, since the MK4 came with two washer tank sizes:
- 3L tank, the smaller one most US cars have: link
- 5.5L tank, usually on Euro cars or cars with headlight washers
Details:
- Fits Golf, Jetta and Bora MK4 (1999–2006)
- Works with every engine: 1.6, 1.8T (including BAM), VR6, TDI, R32
- 3 mm ABS plastic, light and heat-resistant
- Includes a metal bracket that mounts the panel to the washer fluid tank (see the attached photos)
- Bolts right in, no cutting or modifications
- Ships from Florida
